Really wish they weren't holding off reviews till launch.
I mean it's not like I don't know the game. Played 3 tests of it and greatly enjoyed it every time and if Siege is anything to go by, then the support of this game will be great. So I don't know why I'm hesitating....
Why are you waiting for someone else's opinion when you have formed your own? Just buy it if you like it.

There is but don't expect it to be very even at the start. A lot of people played the betas and until they raise in the ranks it'll be a bit hit or miss in matchmaking.
I'm having no luck with vpn unlock for uplay key purchased from GMG. I've tested Private Internet Access, VyprVPN, and Freedome with AU and NZ servers. It's really bizarre actually, ubisoft's for honor site shows that the game unlocks in 2 hours when I'm logged into a Melbourne server, which is incorrect according to every possible unlock scenario described in the official release times post. I'm starting to get the feeling that ubisoft themselves have no idea when this game unlocks in different regions and on different platforms.

Drains their stamina and gives you a free guard break. You can't always land a hit after, unless it's an unsafe on block attack; you're supposed to follow a parry with a guard break.

This seems to have the opposite problem of Ryse where you would chop arms and legs off constantly but never decapitate anyone.

Well unlike blocking it stops their combo. Parry the first hit of their string and you don't have to worry about blocking the rest.
