Welp, can't vote for a SC justice with an investigation into the White House going on. Gotta wait until the next election
 
If they found out that their collusion was full on before and leading up to the election (basically influencing the outcome of the election), wouldn't you think it would trigger a new election?

Not everyone in the line of succession would be tainted by this if it exploded. It would likely fall somewhere in that line. Ryan does seem like the likely candidate if somehow Pence got blowback too.

Yep. It's still not a bad outcome though because Ryan is still way more sane than Trump and this still damages the Republican party a lot because many Trump supporters won't accept the results and will probably also not look at Ryan favorably. Ryan will be the second president to not be elected by the American people (speaker of the house is selected by the house itself) which will probably also limit his ability to take drastic actions. All in all it'd likely help our chances in future near term elections
 
What happens if let's say tomorrow he is forcibly removed from office (hypothetical) what happens. We would still have pence no? Seems like he is out of the loop on everything.

Republicans would still be in power no?

Yes. If Pence did not want these things he would not have agreed to be Trump's VP and he would have spoken out against it.

Pence, Ryan, McConnell - all of these guys are for these things. And if a smoking gun is unleashed, I hope Democrats on every level tie the Republicans to it, because the GOP is doing everything in its power to shield and protect a possible Manchurian Candidate.

Reagan would be spinning in his grave.
 
Am I dumb or didn't we already know this? With all these Russian ties, I though this was something that had been reported on already.

Pence is the same, he just hides it better. They are all connected to the same donors. Pence broke the tie on DeVos.

There were rumors about Manafort, but now it's solid and far more expansive than previously thought.

from what I understand, we all inferred that repeated contact w/ russian officials/intelligence had happened, but this confirms that it actually happened.

It was one part of a series of points that while communication with foreign officials is not unusual, what it unusual here is the scope, the number of calls, the frequency and the senior level of the contacts in the Trump administration.

Republicans need to be held entirely responsible for this mess.

It's inexcusable that they can look the other way and claim the White House even if Trump/Pence are impeached.

The true problem is if Russia(or anyone) starts some serious shit while America struggles to get some leadership active amidst this scandal.
