NYT: Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence

This news alone, or combined with disastrous previous 4 weeks, won't be enough to force Donald out.

However, it's easy to see where this is all going. The leaks just aren't going to stop here. The NSA is probably gearing up to drop the pee pee tape in a few weeks.

And I'm sure the Republican leadership is in on it too. Why? Notice how none of the crises that have plagued the Trump Administration have maligned Pence. In fact, with the Flynn story, he actually come out as a victim, since he claims he didn't know Flynn was lying.

I have a feeling that the GOP needs Pence to be the POTUS well before the 2018 elections, while they still have control of Congress.

The country and how information is disseminated is a lot different than back in 73. Public outcry can be a lot louder now with social media and how easy it is to organize across the country.

That said, Trump has changed things with his brute force strategy, and we are in uncharted and surreal waters right now.

GOP is beholden to a base that lives in another reality. Their voters believe this is all an obama conspiracy (this is how Brietbart is reporting it).

Please be more patient. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT. The watergate scandal took a while for it to become a thing, and this won't be different. Evidence will keep on surfacing from now on though. The cat is out of the bag and there is nothing bringing it back in.
 
Supporting the NYT, CNN, Washington Post, etc right now is as EQUALLY as important as supporting organizations like the ACLU.

Yeah that's extra stupid. Trump's been pissing them off since day zero. Not sure if Russia told him not to deal with them or they already suspended shit and were harsh on him causing this situation. Either way, not good for old piss-flavored orange.

I think the story is going to make someone cut and run, figuratively, and then it'll all fall down. The campaign wasn't organized and this isn't a tight group of people. When stuff like this is going on behind the scenes, you can at least pretend everything is normal. It's out in the open now, the pressure is increasing. If they're guilty, somebody will blink first and try to save themselves.

How is the Trump diehards the minority when he still has a majority of Republican voter support and Republicans still vote for his proposals at a rate of 99%?
