Who wins when this is all over?

The country: no more trump
The IC: I'm guessing f they get a blank check
Neo cons/Hawks: no more nice nice with Russia, at the bare minimum Ukraine gets weapons

It's correct to say this report alone isn't enough to take him out. I refuse to believe, though, that if Trump's campaign has ties to Russian Intelligence, that he himself does not. It's just a matter of time until the Intelligence Community can prove it.

If (When) that happens, he is done. The GOP won't be able to stick their heads in the sand for that. They'll be in the most full damage control they possibly can be and will do whatever they can to excise him from the party.

These things take time. Intelligence gathering is slow, but this is a huge step.

Kingston is really embarrassing himself on CNN.

I can't believe how far people like him are willing to sink in order to protect any politician with a "R" in front of their name.

Please actually lead to something happening.

oh wow. lol

Who is this dude on the left panel on CNN? What a tool.

"UH WELL PAUL MANAFORT WAS FIRED"

"GEE I WONDER WHY"
*clears throat*

Um, Paul Manafort was not fired. He politely "quit" two days after the NYT linked him to millions of dollars of payments from the Kremlin. He maintained an apartment in Trump Tower after that, and he was involved in staffing decisions for the administration after the election.

I disagree. The wouldnt leak this if they still had a lot of work to do.

They have a lot more than this leak im sure.

That kingston clip is going to be all over the net soon.

Most batshit thing I have seen in a long time

On the other hand, this will look good for the Democrats when they'll be able to take back what they lost starting in 2018.

These people have no answer anymore. Let them just continue to bury themselves.

I have been baiting my Facebook feed so hard. No Trumpers though. Even they are realizing what is happening.

I'm speaking in general. I think the wheels are in motion and this is likely the beginning of the end for sure, but it's not gonna all come out and lead to an impeachment in the next week or two. We're likely still in this for a good bit.

Going by this, Trump and Pence (and potentially other GOP members like Paul Ryan, Rex Tillerson) would be implicated and illegitimate/unable to hold office due to committing treason if they were investigated, wouldn't they? Who exactly becomes the President given this conundrum?

After Ryan it'd go to Hatch, then Tillerson, then Sec. of Treasury and down the line. If somehow the stars align and this sinks Trump, I can't possibly imagine it'll also sink Pence.

If Pence becomes our next President he'll have served for over half of the former President's term, so he'd be eligible to run for re-election one time before he'd be considered at the term limit. Pence doesn't have the personality to capture the Trump base so i can't see him winning, but who knows.

That makes sense but it could go either way. Things seem to be falling apart quickly.

In any situation where Trump leaves in disgrace or is impeached, Republicans will lose Congress in 2018.
