Bush Sr: I'm like 95 and I have pneumonia but also fuck you

I guess I shouldn't have been watching MSNBC.
I just can't believe that like 10 hours ago Spicer doubled down on the fact that there was nothing
We shouldn't be here right now, this is why you cannot trust the electorate. Trump should have been removed from the election as soon as this came out in the IC.
Any politicians reacted to this news at all yet?

I love MSNBC, but CNN has had some of the best coverage post election. Guess the fake news thing really pissed them off.
I understood that reference. They are all having breakfast with their wives!
After Ryan it'd go to Hatch, then Tillerson, then Sec. of Treasury and down the line. If somehow the stars align and this sinks Trump, I can't possibly imagine it'll also sink Pence.
If Pence becomes our next President he'll have served for over half of the former President's term, so he'd be eligible to run for re-election one time before he'd be considered at the term limit. Pence doesn't have the personality to capture the Trump base so i can't see him winning, but who knows.
Nothing until morning, just like with the Flynn resignation. Gotta hear what the party talking point is gonna be before the speak out.Any politicians reacted to this news at all yet?

Jeb is a mess
Hes the weakest person on this stage by far
The justice department, with newly confirmed AG Jeff Sessions one of Trumps earliest supporters. Good luck! What government institute or agency do we need to rely on to legitimately charge them with treason, and carry it through?
Don't the republicans have too much power, and too much to lose, to let this get anywhere?
The Flynn event does not fill me with confidence, this is on a whole other level.

They have the names. I have a feeling it's going to be shocking.Guy on CNN says this is getting very serious. These are people who were damn close to Trump.
He could have taken active steps to cover it up post presidency, no?I think to impeach Trump, it would have to have happened while he was President. You would also have to implicate him directly or have hard evidence of Trump specifically requesting an illegal act or obstruction of the law.

But reverse Russia lolI'm listening to Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture while reading this news/thread
So fitting
Regardless of whether Trump is impeached or not, Putin has already shown the world that the US political system is a shambling mess, and that the supposed virtues of the greatest democracy on the planet are just as fallible as in every other country on Earth.
That said, what worries me not is not so much whether the Russians can pump their chests up at the end of the day, but rather how easily the intelligence community is throwing the administration into disarray. Trump is a dickwad and deserves scorn and worse, but it is clear to me now that the true power of the executive branch does not rest in the presidency, but rather in the agencies like the FBI, CIA, and NSA. That's scary whether you are pro-Trump or anti-Trump.
Man, remember when we had a President who didn't have any scandals? So how many scandals is this admin. up to now?

I love CNN's ploy of holding on to the names until the WH comments. They want them to dig their own graves.

Its not scary at all. Don't do illegal ish.
The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.
The officials interviewed in recent weeks said that, so far, they had seen no evidence of such cooperation.
President-elect Trump and then-President Barack Obama were both briefed on details of the extensive communications between suspected Russian operatives and people associated with the Trump campaign and the Trump business, according to US officials familiar with the matter.
What will the republicans lose? They gain the presidency and not have to deal with cheeto

I showed these headlines to my mom and she just responded, completely seriously, "fake news." My jaw dropped. I know she's been brainwashed by this Trump rhetoric because English is her second language and I've never heard her know or use the word "fake" until now.
This election has ruined my family relationships.
