Could you imagine if BAMs set this up?

I've been pissed at him for "knowing" and not letting me know. Like he owed me a call or something, I dunno. Now I think I was an idiot.

I actually think he knew it was probably best to just let it collapse on itself.

I feel like this thread has the same hope in it that was in the election thread when people thought the 3 biggest counties were going to save Florida from going to Trump.

(Sorry, I'm just s little jaded.)
I tend to agree. nothing has ever stuck, why expect it to start now.

I mean, he literally did. He gave the agencies the ability to share the confidential findings amongst themselves days before he was done. Like, if we survive this ima kiss an Obama statute or something as a daily ritual.

your skepticism is warranted

But damn I am having fun right now.

We're gonna need a name of those who are likely to tally into the "body count" of this scandal.

Spicer and Conway seem like two easy people that are done. They've now directly lied on this matter.

Regardless of whether Trump is impeached or not, Putin has already shown the world that the US political system is a shambling mess, and that the supposed virtues of the greatest democracy on the planet are just as fallible as in every other country on Earth.

That said, what worries me not is not so much whether the Russians can pump their chests up at the end of the day, but rather how easily the intelligence community is throwing the administration into disarray. Trump is a dickwad and deserves scorn and worse, but it is clear to me now that the true power of the executive branch does not rest in the presidency, but rather in the agencies like the FBI, CIA, and NSA. That's scary whether you are pro-Trump or anti-Trump.

If anything, this whole episode affirms how much having control over, and the respect of, the intelligence community is a huge part of the presidency -- and how Trump has utterly failed in both of these respects.

Now ain't the time to be jaded. Not when there's already been one resignation and more to probably come tomorrow with not even a month in

Yeah, it's a good strategy. If Obama was involved in any way, GOP would just hand wave it away as something Obama did rather than Trump doing anything wrong.

we have a scoop that can take down the POTUS but this and that

Is there a protocol to follow to expose someone like that even if you have definite evidence?

If you were a media organization and had such a scoop that you were hundred percent sure in, there are a few things you might do. The most responsible thing would be to report it to the feds and not publish until they're through investigating/refused to take action. Many would just publish and let the news work itself out, I feel.

Don Lemon super pushing for somebody to break and just say it out loud: Trump and Putin are colluding.
He's getting his result through a process of elimination.

Smart that he's asking all of his guests to provide any kind of reasonable and rational explanation that doesn't involve collusion and he's getting a lot of shrugs.

I kinda wish Dems got even half as riled up about things like this as idiotic conservative voters (and this is actually something worth getting super pissed about!) But I don't think anyone is really surprised by this.

Best part is that all these stupid Trump supporters and GOP pols are being exposed as the idiots and hypocrites that they are. How many hearings on Benghazi and calls to lock Hillary up. And here we have actual and serious evidence of very serious charges and nothing will happen.

People have no idea, my sister is enjoying the festival. "The US called our Supreme Court ousting of our corrupted Prime Ministers and military coup as undemocratic and powergrab, now look at the hypocrites"

This really hurts US position as a champion of democracy
