Any news on Wii U codes for BTW being sent out?

Interested in the performance differences.

Same. Not getting a Switch right away so very curious about how the Wii U version compares so I can decide whether to just play it after Horizon and Mass Effect or wait until I eventually get a Switch.

Wait Zelda has no dungeons or towns?

HUH

lmao please don't tell me this game is gonna be ass

I was out here thinking we'd have the game of the generation

If we're going to compare Zelda reviews to Horizon, I think the game will score more 10's, but also more 7's. It's going to be a very divisive game. If the final experience plays out like the Great Plateau on a much grander scale, it's going to resonate with some people more than any other open world game ever created, but it will also be a complete turn off for others.

I agree with this. I think Zelda is going to review in the mid 80's on metacritic but will eventually be regarded as one of the better Zelda games in the franchise.

Anything can happen but I'd see it do around 90+

I think Zelda will be good. It's gotten positive remarks in previews. However anybody going in expecting it to be the best Zelda game is fucking insane.
I knew I was at least a little insane, but not "fucking" insane.

Will definitely be avoiding that Zelda review thread. Not just because I want to be unaware of other people's opinions and because I don't want to accidentally read any spoilery stuff, but because of all the people who desperately want the game to fail or people who can't accept any criticism being put against it.

Well, maybe it won't be. But why couldn't it be? I don't think Nintendo ever had 300 people working for a Zelda during 5 years.

I'm was honestly actually expecting a Game of the Generation Contender with the how light the launch line up is and how Nintendo has pushed BoTW over the last two years.

I honestly thought this was lined up to be Nintendo's new Mario 64. After reading a lot of these posts it is disheartening to hear a lot of people think this will score a mid to high 80's on the metacritic.

It's more reviewers in generally are scoring lower.

I still think it will blow everyone away, there's nothing I've seen from this game to suggest otherwise

That is actually a good point.. I wonder if the other games are downloadable?

Considering how the file sizes for Bomberman and 1, 2 Switch are smaller compared to Zelda, maybe Nintendo/Konami are sending out review codes to press rather then retail copies. If that is the case, it's a good move on Nintendo's part, considering Zelda would take up more then half the Switch's internal storage.

I think the same applies for games like I Am Sestuna, Just Dance, and World of Goo. I do wonder if review copies of Skylanders Imaginators for Switch are getting sent out, considering how it offers minor differences between other versions of the game.

Edit:

I'm not sure if we will be able to review Switch games but my guesses for scores on the Switch launch line up:
Zelda - 90%
Bomberman - 65-75%
1-2 Switch - 70-80%

That doesn't mean anything and is actually pretty average staff and development time. Assassin's Creed Unity had way more staff and took five years to make and that game sucked.

I don't think there is any correlation with team size and game quality lol
I agree, though it helps thinking it's not utterly insane to hope this Zelda might be the best in the series. I read his next post and now I get what he meant.

A mid to high 80 is great now.

I still think it will review in the 90's though.

Well, a lot of people here thought Hotizon was going to tank into the mid to low seventies, so I wouldn't be too disheartened: GAF have a tendency too fiercely underestimate games' critical appeal.
