o1-B aren't especially hard to get anymore. Many youtubers, twitch streamers, and esports people are on it. Milo being on it is not shocking.

Wow, really?

That is definitely shocking to me. I know people with top academic publications that are still going through the process.

Watching his Maher interview is super funny considering he has know clue what happens in the next 24 hours. Hopefully the rest of those losers are next- "Weird" Mike Cernovich maybe? The literal Nazis maybe? We can hope.

His book is still coming out. He'll still get speaking engagements. If he started a Patreon/podcast tomorrow he would probably rake in 50K per month. Larger interests will bankroll him anyway though.

I'm not sure why people insist that he's ruined, or "over". This is basically a convenient excuse for him to quit his day job.
Who is going to do any of this? Speaking engagements at NAMBLA? Richard Spencer's Nazi pals don't even want him.

This is a double edged sword for the LGBTQ community. For one thing, Milo can't be used as the alt-right's claim that they have a gay friend and like minded person. On the other hand, the alt-right can use Milo as an example that they can't trust any gay people based on the fact that the one gay person they liked turned out to be an outspoken pedophilia/pederast apologist. And others still will just defend him, fake news, all that jazz.

oh, well

No, the Reagan Battalion posting videos of Milo condoning pedophillia started the decline.

All Maher did was jerk Milo off on live TV.
If anything, his appearance on that and Maher's approval would have been another dangerous step towards pushing him further ahead.

Bill didn't do anything except help make things worse. Took a bunch of angry conservatives to actually do their homework on him to actually stop him while Maher was too busy trying to prop him up.

Do you think Milo's career is over? There's no way anybody would hire him after this

He doesn't have to be hired, he'll be paid for speaking engagements and continue to be a shitty person.

He just won't be on Fox News or Bill Maher or Joe Rogan anytime soon. He'll be relegated to shitty college campuses.

Who's hiring him?

The videos that were spread around are old and they weren't hidden. Drunken Peasants has hundreds of thousands of listeners and Rogan millions. He was already hired in spite of this.

The distancing now comes from the optics of a current conversation we're collectively having. It's not inconceivable for others, or indeed the very same people, to hire him or put him on again later. He already had a following who accepted this. They are still there with him.

Who's paying him?

College republicans, alt-right groups, maybe Alex Jones' got a spot open for him.

He's made friends with lots of money who can sponsor him living for awhile. I even imagine someone is going to step up to publish his book which will then go on to sell quite a few copies.

Reminiscent of Hitler after his jail stint tbh, joke of a dude who also bummed around doing speaking engagements for cash while in a country illegally and trying to sell copies of his controversial book. Funny that.

Great news!

I don't care if Milo can still sell his book or his message somewhere else: he's been marginalized to the fringe. There's no way he is even close to happy with this turn of events. This is a lot less money for him. This is a lot less exposure.

I can't help but escape the feeling this is a precursor to a future Trump instance. Maybe just wishful thinking, but stuff like this just goes to show, it's really hard to escape a sordid past, and you know Trump has said and done stuff way darker than that pussy tape. There's always someone searching when all you make is enemies upon enemies.

Who is going to do any of this? Speaking engagements at NAMBLA? Richard Spencer's Nazi pals don't even want him.

There will still be publishers willing to take his book, and places willing to have him speak. Crowdfunding is more than a legitimate option as well.

I think his prominence in media will definitely fade, but his life is hardly ruined.

I think a lot of those people weren't aware of these comments though. That's the difference now, he's being ostracized by conservatives.

Exactly. The best part is that he loves attention so much, but that's gone.

I'm assuming he was allowed to resign in order to save face?

Also: Get fucked, Milo.

It's become more as and more obvious that it's a forced resignation so they don't have to pay the cost of sending him back to the UK as required if he was fired.

On his current visa, I believe he does need to be formally hired by someone -- and it has to be related to his "specialty".

Now that the dust has settled:
How cheap does his logo look? Like, did he just take a random dafont.com entry and rolled with it? It looks so bad.

It had to get to pedophilia for conservatives to see how awful he is, but racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia are ok. Such morally bankrupt people.

I said it wasn't inconceivable! I do ultimately agree with you and I hope his influence crumbles. I probably should have said as much.

About being ostracized by conservatives though... the chilling thing is how some of them are now saying things to the effect of "you see told you all gay people were bad" as they distance themselves from him.
