When you find yourself searching youtube for zelda footage to tide yourself over, but are also trying to not get spoiled:

I'm guessing we should expect Zelda impressions to start leaking out on reddit/twitter/whatever this weekend and early next week?

Someone should make a spoiler-free impressions thread whenever they start coming out. I'm excited to see some impressions but there are way too many spoilers now floating around for me to be comfortable going into a normal thread.

Tonight's the night guys. Tonight the first previews for the Switch begins! The following day will be BotW!

So close.

Someone should make a spoiler-free impressions thread whenever they start coming out. I'm excited to see some impressions but there are way too many spoilers now floating around for me to be comfortable going into a normal thread.

I've pretty much stopped going into Zelda topics. I hope all Zelda topics will be labeled with spoilers in the title, if there are any.

I've stumbled upon a huge Horizon spoiler and subtle Zelda spoiler since last night so I'm walking on eggshells right now. My head says "throw your phone in the river until next Friday" but my heart says "let's check out the youtube comments."

I'm assuming midnight. They said the embargo is the 23rd so I'm hoping it means midnight for whatever time zone each media is in. Unless it's midnight Eastern in America covers for all of the US and Canada.

I feel like I've seen 9AM PST in the past, but who knows! I have a little corner reserved on my third monitor at work for some coverage.

Ugh I was afraid it my be 9 am on the 23...come on Nintendo! Midnight is officially the 23 lol

So will we learn anything about the store/VC/system features, or are we not getting anything on those until launch?

I'm assuming with the previews they'll be able to turn the system on and show it? Maybe not idk. I don't see them showing the eshop if there's an update needed.

I could've sworn they said they'd talk about virtual console before launch, which I don't take to mean that it will be at launch.

23th? Cant wait to hear about the gamea although only have Zelda and Bomberman lol.

We are getting 17 neon and 79 gray units at my store.

10 neon are preordered, and 34 gray are preordered. If you get to a store pretty early you should be able to snag one!

Yeah, Reggie said the following (source: https://www.wired.com/2017/01/reggie-fils-aime-nintendo-interview/):
Reggie Fils-Aime said:
Fils-Aime: What I would say first is, we recognize that some of our most passionate fans have spent quite a bit, whether it’s with Virtual Console on Wii or Wii U, and we recognize that consumers are rightly concerned about moving to Nintendo Switch without backward compatibility. My comment is: Stay tuned, we understand the concern, more information to come.

There’s 40-some odd days between now and launch. There are more details to come. And at that point we’ll be able to define all of those various details of that online experience.
If you want to pedantic, he doesn't word for word say that VC will be detailed before launch, but his wording very strongly implies it.

Wired: It is a lot of money! Is there going to be a discount for us if we buy the games again on Switch?

So, you're store only allowed people to preorder 10 of the 17 Neon and only 34 of the 79 gray units? The rest are put aside for the midnight launch?

Doubt you can tell, but if you can, which store? Don't need location.

Is that US and did you cap your preorders at the amount you currently have so you'd have extra at launch?

I wouldn't assume that, odds are it'll be at a set time tomorrow.

Edit - seen the confirmed time. Awesome! Hope we get more info not just unboxing and ultra basic stuff. Really hoping digital foundry are able to have a deeper dive.

We already know everything about the system's features at launch. What's on the official Nintendo Switch page is every software feature it's launching with. (That was confirmed by hiphopthegamer's walkthrough.)

eShop needs the day one update, so... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Is zelda is not getting higher than a 9.5
It flopped

And i will still get it

But i will be very angry

Has anyone here visited the spoilery Zelda threads? Without giving anything away does the game look as incredible as we're all hoping?
Yes, it looks amazing. BUT... on a technical IQ level there are things some people are complaining about i.e. bad textures, low detail etc. But hey, it's a WiiU port. And it still looks great.
