Saving the Activity Log for the "one more thing" E3 megaton, I'm sure.
I would laugh my ass off if they did that
I want this to happen now and am judging E3 based on that
Saving the Activity Log for the "one more thing" E3 megaton, I'm sure.
Gotta make the 30 people on GAF that wants it happy.Saving the Activity Log for the "one more thing" E3 megaton, I'm sure.
Engadget slipped in a Zelda tidbit in their Switch preview. Any other outlets say anything about the game today?
We will risk a shuriken to the head from Nintendos ninja lawyers by saying that Zelda is everything you will have hoped for, and more, but we wont be able to do a proper preview until tomorrow.

I'm not playing 40 hours straight, so that isn't a big draw for me, compared to the competition it's too much for a standard controller. I'm not sold on "HD rumble" gimmick either
It's 80 in Ireland so it's still more expensiveIt's actually 69 in Europe and 74.99 for the special colors. So it's the same price or 5 bucks more, but you get like 6 hours battery instead of 40.
Clearly. And what a megaton!
A web browser isnt more important to a video game system compared to the controller not working."Real issues" is subjective. The Switch is the first game system to launch without a web browser in HOW long?
From the game central preview
No, because there are full launches and soft launches. This comes off in every way as a soft launch.Because now there're real and fake launches. Now, in order to be called a "real" launch, it needs video apps, because... ?
Look, all consoles had problems at launch. PS4 had these. Xbox One had these. Wii U had a fuck ton of these. Now Switch has these too, it's nothing uncommon in the industry. You should know that if you want to be an early adopter. It's not even tied to consoles only, but to every new tech release.
Yeah its getting pretty ridiculous. Can't wait for all of the Zelda previews to be hype and then one thing catches someones eye and people have a heyday for it.I was joking but given some other posters, I understand why it's hard to tell.
Third party controllers? Because Microsoft and Sony's have an MSRP of $60-80 on their standard controllers.
It's almost like we can discuss both of those things.A web browser isnt more important to a video game system compared to the controller not working.
Anyone who thinks they're of equal importance shouldn't even be listened to.
Because the switch knows which color controller you are using tells me that something, even something tiny, is different in terms of hardware.
I don't agree, To me the best controller nintendo ever made was the SNES one and Sony surpassed that generations ago. The Wii U pro controller was fine but not near as good as the DS4 or Xbox One controller.Nintendo has always made better controllers than Sony though?
Don't get me started on the PS4 controller.
The better technology is yet to be determined. Nobody knows how HD rumble will work, how much it will be supported or if it's anything special. NFC barely matters anyway and it's already on the console. The battery life thing is a good thing and probably the best thing about the controller but does it justify the cost?yeah! kiddy controlllers should be cheaper! even if they pack better technology on them!
If the Switch Pro controller was 60 MSRP than I can see it being worth that but being 90 dollars cdn for it is insane. The people complaining about the pro controller prices in this thread blow my mind. $60ish dollars has been the MSRP for new console controllers since the PS3. Wasn't the Wii U pro controller like $50?
My pricing may be off since I'm Canadian and we pay through the nose on everything anyway.

Given that the de-sync issue wasn't really present during the preview events, it doesn't seem likely that it's an overall hardware defect. I'm also hoping that they can patch things out, but if it's actually hardware related they'll have a plan to fix/replace it.
Also worth noting that the severity has varied. Jose Otero at IGN noted that it only happened a few times within 20 hours of playing Zelda for him. Jason at Kotaku says it happens constantly.
Interesting. Is there any reason for this?
Gamexplain on joycon:
- No problem the first day
- Changed room
- You run in zel... a game and then stop but the character doesnt stop.
- Several lag issues in a few minutes
Probably interference.
From the game central preview
You don't have to buy it at launch bro,its OK to wait.i know we are excited because new system and stuff but its not worth it to get upset over
In fact the true launch will be at the holidays, better solution than Wii U releasing in November very half backed.
Nintendos amiibo sales say you are wrong about NFC. Certainly it's not for me but there is most definitely demand for it.I don't agree, To me the best controller nintendo ever made was the SNES one and Sony surpassed that generations ago. most first party PS4 controllers can be had for $45-50 on Amazon

Not really. Each controller would have a unique ID attached to it. The serial code for example, Nintendo could and probably do just distinguish using that or something similar.Because the switch knows which color controller you are using tells me that something, even something tiny, is different in terms of hardware.
Yes, but the whole point about what is more important being subjective is asinine. No one in their right mind would think a web browser is more important than a controller working. It's almost like we can discuss both of those things.
Nope it's not justified. None of those are good justifications for the extreme price.
Not familiar with the outlet...are they a hype machine or legit press? Not that there's anything wrong with enthusiasm, of course.
Guess we'll all find out tomorrow!
I don't agree, To me the best controller nintendo ever made was the SNES one and Sony surpassed that generations ago.
I didn't see anyone arguing what was more important. I see people saying shit is not important.Yes, but the whole point about what is more important being subjective is asinine. No one in their right mind would think a web browser is more important than a controller working.
This is exactly my experience, except with changing rooms. Link will either keep running, or just wont respond at all, or respond like 5 seconds after the input is put in.
Again, no basic video apps and one actual game don't make for a real launch. The PS4 and Xbone launched with a solid lineup of games and had full basic app support.
So both Sony and Microsoft launch with $60 controllers.
Nintendo brings out a controller that not only includes more advanced motion tech, but also has HD Rumble, and NFC, in addition to a battery that absolutely spanks the shit out of the DualShock and is 10 hours longer than the XBO controller, but it's an unjustifiable extreme price to have it launch at $10 more than they did?
Ok.
Yeah I can't take people seriously if they have the opinion that it is over priced. So both Sony and Microsoft launch with $60 controllers.

I mean people are allowed criticise and complain about pricing. What's wrong with that?So both Sony and Microsoft launch with $60 controllers.

By saying that importance is subjective the person I was quoting is implying that one thing is not more important than the other at a base level.I didn't see anyone arguing what was more important. I see people saying shit is not important.
Not really. Each controller would have a unique ID attached to it. The serial code for example, Nintendo could and probably do just distinguish using that or something similar.
being a nintendo fanboy or zelda fanboy would do that. And yet I still haven't purchased either of those systems and I'm purchasing a Switch at launch.
It's going to be about appeal of the software. Like it always has. Nintendo's bare bones launch is paying off right now. If they want to sustain that momentum they will need to have more for the Holidays.
Cuningas de Häme;230873554 said:Not time to read the whole thread, but could the joycon disconnection thing be because of low battery?
I mean, my Wiimote acts wonky when the battery is low.
Did that happen straight from the box? If the people who didn't have problems had more juice in the joycon and the ones with the problem had less?
