Believe it or not some people don't sell their gaming hardware immediately after software support dries up for it.

Especially when the system's successor has no backwards compatibility. A few WiiU games will be ported to Switch, as it's already the case with BotW and MK8 (and it's almost guaranteed we'll get Smash Bros. too in the near future), but definitely not all. And for all its shortcomings, the WiiU had a small but excellent software library (that nobody should miss out on, imho). So it only makes sense to sell your old video game systems if one's the type to never replay any games. Also I don't think the few miserable bucks Gamestop and Co. offer are a fair deal for anyone but them.

I don't really know that anyone knows the answer to that, probably high? But this is Nintendo, so who knows.

Can I ask why she has to buy it in the USA? Is it not going to be available in your country? It's region free, after all. Same thing no matter where you buy it.

Finally, the size comparison I've been waiting for. People who say the switch "is too big to be a handheld" clearly weren't around for the early 90s. And that's the smaller revision of the Lynx, the original was even bigger. The Game Gear is almost as big.

If I still owned a Wii U and I wasn't interested in the DLC at all I'd play Zelda on Wii U. Otherwise: Just sell the damn thing and all its games to finance the Switch purchase. Do you really want to have the Wii U until the Holidays to play the Zelda DLC? Really?

My Wii U is going to be plugged in for another year or two since I still have a bunch of games to 100%. It's a non-issue. Hell, I still have a famicom hooked up.

Yup, also it doubles as a Wii with the built-in Wii mode. I had to give my Wii back to my friend a couple of years ago so if I ever want to find an old game I missed out on I have the chance.

You do realize that their Wii-U stream was 6.5 hours long, right? They played all twenty-three launch titles. Hence why I am guessing this year's stream won't match that with about a third of the amount of games to play.
