I'm pretty sure you can see that screen in the day though.
Not according to some previews.

So if your tv can't output Bluetooth you basically can't use headphones when the switch is in the TV?
Why is there a cable going from the controller to the console? Technically you don't need to charge the console and your smart phone, while you play. So if you want to play with your headphones, you need only the cable of the headphone.the ultimate portable experience.

It's probably fixable with an update. Switch has a bluetooth chip. In fact, I am pretty sure that joycons work through bluetooth.
Afaik every Nintendo controller since the Wii uses bluetooth to connect wirelessly.

PS4 has a Bluetooth chip in it also, and its controllers are bluetooth. So that isnt a sign that it may eventually come

Like at launch or not planned at all?
At launch, I'd assume.
Are there viable and reliable options for bluetooth adapters that plug into 3.5 mm ?
You don't speak for all portable users, considering some of us evidently care.
Why anyone would defend this oversight is beyond me.
You need a headset over those headphones if you want to use the voicechat app lolfixed, ty.
your logic is good, also fixed.

Seriously, you have no idea. The Pro-Controller has the D-Pad on the other side or if those are supposed to be the Joy-Cons, then both should have a battery.sure, here's your magical ver.

When I found out my 4k samsung was able to output bluetooth audio, my mind was blown. No dongles.
Oh shit, just realized my new lg oled TV has bluetooth headphone support.
... but only lg branded ones. fml
I can't use my AirPods??? That is annoying
Thankfully that's not the case anymore for last year's LG TV's. Those support all kinds of headphones from other manufacturers. At least the LG OLED TVs.Oh shit, just realized my new lg oled TV has bluetooth headphone support.

Does it play games at launch?
So this is the most disappointing Switch news of recent. My AirPods are always going to be at the ready for me, I don't want to carry a wired set bc this device is apparently unable to deliver basic features for devices in 2010.
