Yeah the truth is that mocap or not, this is a game, in a movie I can buy that if I slow it down I'll see they don't connect, in a game they can just adjust that shit so that she actually hits him (as she should).

As stated by others, this game went a Day 1 to a wait and see for me. I'm definitely excited for it because it's Mass Effect and I loved the shit out of the trilogy, but there's something about the way they've been handling this game's marketing that makes me think I should proceed with caution.

The speed definitely does matter because nobody noticed this when the trailer thread hit, they only noticed days latter when this slow-motion gif started getting posted everywhere on the internet. It's a textbook example of making a mountain out of a molehill and it's been derailing threads for days now. It's never going to appear at half speed in the game, so why bother posting it at half speed everywhere?

Sorry, I'm just really disappointed. ME3 MP was fantastic and I was really legitimately excited for this Beta and now it's not happening and they don't even have the common courtesy to say why.

I'm with you. I thought ME3's MP was really well done, and I would have liked to see a beta. It worries me that they have opted to do otherwise. But never forget that there are people on the other side of these decisions. That doesn't mean we shouldn't criticise them (my first post in this thread was just that!) but let's maintain calm while doing so.

Hmmm, not handled in the best way leaving it so late. I'm not convinced with this game and I so want to be too. I would be very disappointed if the game turned out to be a dud.

Yeah that part is just the worst. BioWare did say this was being worked on at the time and promised lifelike expressions in full game. Or something along those lines. I don't expect miracles but that nonsense better be improved drao, lol.

It's annoying that they buried this news in a blog post about Pax East rather than tell the players directly in an announcement email or something. I'm still looking forward to the game, but it's not encouraging.
