I'm at a point where I look at posts like this and think, how frantically must a person be in the tank for an idiot that they can shuffle these ludicrous notions around in their head, and at what point does a Trumpet decide that the news is so bad they should just duck out for a couple of days until there's something to pin on Hills or Obama instead?

I really don't think so. The key difference here is Trump himself said Sessions has his full confidence not some surrogate.
The inevitable book/movie/documentary/miniseries chronicling all of this has to be called American Carnage.
He's right. Sessions doesn't deserve to lose his job over this.

Even if Sessions was/is telling the truth, today's revelations that he's been under investigation by the FBI for the past 6+ months makes him entirely ineligible to lead the investigation into Russian wrongdoing.
Seriously, is he going to release a statement, "I've investigated the matter, and determined I've done nothing wrong"? He has to step aside and recuse himself to clear the air.

Uh, when did anyone suggest Trump was going to reappoint an AG like Loretta Lynch? Trump will naturally appoint somebody else more similar to Sessions if he is indeed removed.
But no matter. With every successive high profile resignation or removal in his administration over Russian communication, it will eventually become a drain on Trump's political capital and leverage. His administration is showing its vulnerabilities. This is a big deal, which is why their messaging is a clusterfuck as they're desperately trying to prevent another Flynn just weeks following.
Not necessarily. Acosta isn't like Puzder. McMaster is pretty far from Flynn. Given the precedents, a replacement AG would probably be relatively quite moderate!
