Basically.

Was going to play some Horizon but now I'm glued to my computer to watch this.

I'm guessing he insists he did nothing wrong, but after talking to his dear friends John McCain and Lindsay Graham, he'll recuse himself from any Russia investigation.

So lets say everything we all think is true.

What is the best play for Trump, Sessions, and the rest of the crew?

Fight it to the bitter or end or do people start flipping at some point?

Did CNN just go off the air for anyone else? It's not my cable, as all other channels working. I just have a yellow screen on CNN. Russia interference!!

It's back now.

Where can I likely watch this live other than CNN? CNN sometimes makes you sign in to your TV provider, and sometimes they don't. A sure thing would be great.

(online, I mean)

Trump: I have total faith in Sessions, what we need to do is combat these leaks, what if I'm talking to Russia and someone leaks that!

Honestly hoping for an accident on stage.

I'll say no more than that.

I'm hoping he trips over, with a mysterious tape in his hand. No label, just a black video tape. When he stumbles, he falls right into a VCR that someone forgot near the podium, sliding it in. As he's trying to get some support, he presses the Play button. The screen is white noise, for a few seconds, people are gasping and anticipating what appears on the screen. And finally, there's a bed, a few girls in skimpy clothing. No one sees clearly what they are doing. A man appears, who yells. "It's yuuge. I tell you, it's yuuuge thing to get to do this to me. Now pee ladies".

Sessions is better off making a deal for himself. Even if that means resigning. Fuck the rest of them.

This is 2 in the last month. There's a lot more to this story.

They will fight it to the bitter end because I think they still have more to lose flipping, even if they're promised immunity. Obviously depends on who it is though and what position they are in.

At some point Priebus, Pence and Ryan are going to throw Donald and all his cabinet to the wolves. Always keep an eye on what they're doing. Pence doesn't touch shit like this with a ten foot pole for a reason.

5 seconds later he says he just found out that Sessions talked to the Russian ambassador, he's already trying to cover his ass. This is a mess on so many levels.

Agreed! Pence has been smart in all this. He's the only that managed to across as innocent, though I doubt that to some extent.

People are putting too much weight on investigations that are A) so easily corruptible and B) involve a GOP-dominated government that sees it's once-in-a-generation chance to radically transform policy.

I think the investigations are incredibly significant and worthy of mass-attention but the focus should (and could, easily) be more emphatic on issues not related to Russia connections. Everything hinges on these investigations which means that if they don't reveal what people expect them to reveal then Trump will become the real "Teflon Don" and no criticisms will be able to stick to him for the rest of his term.

So recuse means he can't be involved in any investigation regarding Russia? What if he keeps involvement anyway via second hand or whatever? Sure, I imagine the penalties would be severe, but if he is protecting the President and/or the majority of the higher ups in Republican ranks, desperate measures for desperate times.

That and he's proven he can't be trusted. How will we know he plans to keep his word about staying uninvolved?

Haha Trump looked pissed, said Sessions has full trust, and that he didn't know he spoke with Russian diplomats.

Same pattern as last time?

Not alone...not alone. I need my sanity back. I need my productivity back. I need this administration to just go away.

His terrible policies are being met with unprecedented levels of resistance (Exhibit A: Muslim ban). Whatever happens with Russia won't change the fact that when/if he decides to govern he will face a massive opposition on nearly everything.

Russiagate simply determines whether he will be POTUS or not.

Recusal doesn't really mean anything at this point unless a special prosecutor is assigned. If he recuses it just falls to his deputy to handle, which means jack shit for being non-partisan.

Just one step from resigning. Team trump didn't want to take another loss.

edit: Doesn't mean that he didn't perjure himself, or that an investigation into his actions isn't coming.

Shit.. not really surprised. Now i want to make a bet on whether or not he still the AG 7 days from now. I'm hoping all this shit will eventually lead to trump getting impeached but clown like nunes is like 99% of the republican congress.
