it's fine off, you lose some features but eh who needs 7 graphs

I'm not a fan of that feature in other games because quests are not designed around it. In this Zelda though, I switched to pro mode ten hours in and never looked back.

How do I get the sheikah slate ability to see enemy health?
I've had it since getting off the starting area to my knowledge, I don't think it's a special ability

yeah, as characters usually say where they will be at or where to go/how to do it rather than the bethsoft way of "eh here's a pointer have fun"

this game is crazy

it's so easy to get sidetracked and just keep doing one thing after the other without realizing it. I got to a certain point and then figured I'd board my horse and call it a night. welp, there's a shrine just over there...might as well do it. welp, there's another shrine just past that. welp, got 4 spirit orbs now, may as well go handle that.

finally found a good stopping place for the night. can't wait to dive back in.

Question about the beginning of the game :
I used up all my peppers trying to replicate the old man recipe but I can't find them near the temple of time ruins.. any advice ? Thanks !

What do you do to use it? Just hover over an enemy right? Cause that doesn't do anything for me.. I got the shrine detector from getting a second sheikah tower so I figured I'd get it from more towers but I still can't do it.

Question about enemy respawns:
I saw the cutscene for the blood moon after sleeping at an inn, how often does the blood moon occur?

I hurt foes, then see a health bar of sorts from there, unless there's something more useful I haven't encountered yet

I get the feeling you guys have never really heard bad VA before.

Because I can show you, some real good examples.

Just because it's not the worst doesn't mean it's not bad. I wish they kept Zelda traditional, I feel like the VA actually hurts the experience.

Is it weird that I just spent almost ten minutes blowing bokoblin skeletons apart with bombs just to track which limbs crawled toward which skulls?

Nintendo came in for a lot of ribbing for their "See that mountain? You can climb it" quote(I know I'm paraphrasing). However they really pulled something special with the way the world is laid out. So many areas that at first look are inaccessible can be climbed with a bit of perseverance and help from runes. Even if it only a seed or a weapon at the top it's really fun to get up there.

It's not even bad, at worse I'd say its like...okay...and most of it comes from zelda, but pretty much most everyone else is on point.

I saw in previews that you can use your shiekah slate view and use it to get a number value for an enemies health bar.

Got stumped by a shrine for the fitst time. Made me realize how tired I was so I called it a night. Incredible game. There's so much to unpack that I don't know where to begin

"Wow this modest combat shrine is really kicking my ass, I guess I'll try the other shrine not too far from here"

*TOUGH COMBAT SHRINE*

lmao bye

Jesus fucking christ, if it wasn't for selling precious metals I don't know how I could have afforded both armors from Kakariko village.

I bought em with the money I made from
cooking meat dishes and elixers. Took me a while though but it makes good money! There is lots of prime meat in Gerudo Valley.

Just finished the Plateau. Whew boy, the VA is baaaad. :(

That was my impression. But...! You just experienced the worst of the voice acting. The next character you meet is equally as bad, but from there it picks up a LOT.

After 3 hours I would have marked the voice acting down as a major negative for the game. By the time I beat it I had it marked down as 'mixed'. There are some decent performances in there. It's just a shame that 2 of the first 3 characters you hear are awful and the worst in the game.

I've had no problems with the VA other than the Gerudo. In dialogue/text boxes they speak their own language and sound accented, but then
Urbosa the champion
sounds like a generic American VA.

Got to see that clip of Zelda crying from the trailers in story context today and the English definitely fits better, imo.

Shit, filling the Hyrule Compendium could take over a hundred hours itself.
Photographing every item, weapon, animal, monster, etc in the game?
I hope the rewards are good.

hahaha right? I did the minor combat shrine, it took a few tries but it was exhilarating and I felt so accomplished when I beat it, i found the modest combat one and it kicked my ass and was taking all my weapons away with barely much damage, so I gave up on that.

I.. uhm, does anyone know how to sail? I know it requires
some kind of a leaf but I'm like 25 hours into the game and haven't found a single one.
I feel like I'm missing something here.

it requires the korok leaf, the leaf from windwaker, you can find one on the great plateau next to the river with the fireplace and cooking pot

cut some large trees down

Been playing since it got delivered earlier. Fantastic game. I scanned my amiibo and got mostly basic stuff except my 8 bit Link amiibo gave me the tunic from the original Legend of Zelda. Needless to say I'm gonna be rocking that for a while. :)

destroy some
trees.
. Eventually the item/weapon will fall down from one.

Anyone know where the last fucking
cuckoo
is in kakariko? I've been searching all throughout the
small town and roofs and I've found them all but 1. Is there one that isn't in the vicinity?
Anyone? I know it's vague but there has to be one that's tougher to find than the rest and it has to be the one I'm missing

I could barely get modest to half health. I guess it's time for me to learn strength recipes.

I hope the rewards are good.

It should be noted if you get a bad picture for the compendium it can be replaced later. I took a picture of a sheep butt and later got a better pic of the animal for the compendium.

I can't seem to figure out how to dodge/roll. Is it a locked ability? Also what is the purpose of having two different types of
remote bombs? The square one doesn't roll away, that's all I can figure

So after 14 amazing hours let me tell all of my amazing stories so far. Spoilers obviously.

So did Great Plateau, seen it so much but still many surpises. Rushed to bridge of Hylia due to TP nostalgia. Activated that tower and did a few shrines. Activated the tower east of there and did more shrines. Many sidequests started but not finished. Try to get all the Korok seeds I can find as I do. Mostly just exploring.

After awhile try to make my way to the story mission. Tells me to go towards the other village. I have waypoints disabled so get lost, find a snowy mountain, use leftover peppers from the Plateau and find A FUCKING DRAGON! Have no idea what to do, attacking it does nothing, it sleeps. Eventually find a spring where it starts the actual battle and you have TO PARAGLIDE ACROSS THE ENTIRE SNOWY MOUNTAIN TO KEEP UP WITH IT AND SHOOT ARROWS. WHAT THE FUCK DID I STUMBLE ONTO? HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME!

Eventually defeat it with my last arrow. Now to purify it asks you to shoot a arrow at it. Really bummed me out. >_>

i go get arrows, come all the way back, a long way around, and shoot it. It stayed in that state too, I didn't have to rebeat it. So good. It unlocked a shrine that said "the fact that your here already means you passed the trial. That was fucking awesome!

Got my first recovered memory (#12) and now exploring some more before I go back to the story. I will probably never find the koroks but I want to do all shrines and sidequests atleast and after 14 hours only 18/120 shrines have been defeated' 2/76 sidequests, and not even at one of the beasts yet. This is my favorite game of all time. Even if I can't find all the Koroks 200+ hour game of awesome ahead!!!

So now I can spawn bombs anytime I want. How is this possible when you have to explore the world to survive by collecting weapons and such?

Korok Leaf weapon. I found one by cutting a tree down.

The thing with that is, I have all these ingredients to mix together but I always end up using the food up in a pinch because I unexpectedly end up at 1/4 a heart
