So, do we know of any charging cable+adapter, other than the one packed in, that chargest faster than botw sucks battery dry?
my phone charger doesn't do the trick.

It's like an ammo system of sorts. They don't want you to get attached to your weapons or your strategy will stagnate. The game wants you to be on your feet at all times. That being said, stronger weapons, tend to have better durability.

It also make every weapon in the game useful all game long, compared to say Skyrim where once you get a daedric weapon yon won't look twice on the iron swords ever.

she's off to the right behind a boulder in Hateno near the entrance and she's pretty much the reroll mechanic. She takes a heart off you, then talk to her again and she gives you the choice of getting the heart back or more stamina. From then on you can pay money to change the set up of your hearts/stamina.
 
I just fought a dude who
transformed into a weird looking-thing with a sickle after he asked me to join some society... he dropped bananas and a bunch of rupees.
This game keeps getting better
 
Just experienced my first dark soulsy go into area I shouldn't have and get one shotted by buff monster. Not ashamed to die in this Zelda game

I'm with you, man. I'm going to keep playing because so far, I really like it. But so far, I'm not feeling a fundamentally different experience than some of the best in class open world games.

It may change though once I get the hang of the mechanics

Not a Zelda "fanatic" or anything. I'm trying to be as objective as possible.
 
Man I must just be fatigued from playing all night but I took a really sour turn on this game near the end of my session.

Probably just my mental state right now but I found myself constantly getting frustrated and confused about where they wanted me to go for main quests and just climbing a hill and hang gliding around it instead.

Finally made it to my first dungeon about 20 hours in and I'm gonna sleep this off and hope Im just being crazy.
 
Quick question: Is a demo of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild available for download on Nintendo Switch (or Wii U)?
 
26 hours in, 40 shrines down, full map unlocked but still no dungeons attempted (haven't even been to the relevant towns). I just obtained a particular item and think I am now ready to progress the story.

Incredible game that just keeps on wowing me.
 
Just had one "outplayed" situations in this game.

Been struggling on killing s small camp. Midway through the fight I noticed a explosive barrel. Both of us stood parallel to it, so I turned right decided to go grab it. Too bad, the enemy had the same idea. And he was a bit closer. I just turn around screaming. *game over*

Hah, this game just keeps on giving.

As for the doublet, I had already read the old man's diary and was set on cooking the recipe for him. Decided to trek up Mt. Hylia in the meantime and was handed the doublet anyway.

Zora
area and fucking hell it won't stop raining. I just want to climb stuff but I can't! Even used my one and only flint to make a fire nearby to wait until the next day and nope, still raining. This isn't Hyrule, it's bloody Wales.

Sidon tells me that the Divine Beast is causing it. I know what I'm going after first then!

That is incredible. I have been scouring areas, going to places that look interesting. Ive only completed 18 shrines and 1 dungeon at about 20 hours.
 
I always manage to have a full inventory when I open a chest. Why the game doesn't let you quickly swap items out is beyond me. I wish you could press a button on the pot to immediately start cooking as well. There's some really simple QOL improvements they could add.

Game is phenomenal though. Can't remember the last time I've been sucked in like this.
 
For people who don't know where to go after Hateno (I'm giving tip because I know some feel lost, otherwise go discover on your own, lol)
I headed north from Kakariko, the first village, to Zora domain. It's kinda a swamp.
Enemy over there require you to have weapons that has 10+ in damage.

But before you go, be sure to have bought your Hylian set and upgrade it at the fairy.
Do all the shrines you can that are in Hateko and Hateno area expect the ones near beach of Hateno, those 2 are for high level.
Of course, prepare some food too.

Be sure to upgrade your sensor for compendium if you're interested in "collections".

Yea, on Wii U it is terrible at times. Closer to 10 frames than 20.

Loving this game so far. Playing on Switch and it is great being able to pick it up and take it with me, then dropping it in the dock and going right back to the big screen.

I enjoy the open world of this more than I thought I would. Wasn't really open to changing Zelda, but this has been a pleasant experience so far. I like that I really don't have anything holding me back from going wherever I want, just have to find ways to overcome my shortfalls and try a possible different path. The shrines are nice diverts from the overworld and so far have had just enough puzzle solving to be short and fun while making me think for a second.

Biggest complaint so far is finding fire and cooking pots. Don't want to make a ton of stuff until I have a feel for what is common and what I will want for later and it does seem to be a little to far sometimes between finding a pot with fire. And the left Joycon getting finicky on me, but I can't really blame the game for that (wish I could find a pro controller).
 
I had an experience where there where some Bokoblins and a Moblin. I struck the Moblin a couple of times and retreated. I turned around to face him again and he grabbed one of the Bokoblins and threw him at me.

This game.

Somebody can confirm more definitively than me, but I didn't see one in the Switch eshop when I was checking out my friend's Switch yesterday

I have been leveling up stamina exclusively. You need it for virtually every movement option Link has. Running, climbing, swimming, whatever.

I'll probably stop where I'm at for now, but the stamina Link starts with was not enough for me. Especially since I don't have a horse right now.

I did a "slight test in strength" or whatever right after the plateau and it was fucking hard, but I was so glad to beat it.

It was amazing boss design. So many move variations, and the moves were so well telegraphed.

That fight alone could have been a major boss fight. I loved it.
 
Just did the shrine in
Hateno
and i basically feel like i cheated it.
It was take the ball through a maze so i just flipped it over and used the bottom to roll it.
. Felt so good.
 
It really feels like Half-Life/portal take on the Zelda series. It even has a "sort of" gravity gun.

Finding and beating shrines is fun and addictive as hell.

WiiU version has awful performance though, wouldn't give a ten because I can't properly enjoy it. The Switch version, reading the comments is much better, with less hiccups
