Is anyone else having problems with their pro controller and this game? I played it yesterday in handheld mode all day, no problem.

Now I'm playing it on the TV with a pro controller and the right stick seems to like to not respond sometimes when I pop up a quick menu for weapons or whatever. Happens pretty often. I'll sit there tapping any direction over and over and it just ignores me. Seems to only happen in menus. Though, Link does like to walk on his own sometimes, too, a problem I wasn't having with the joy cons. Do I have a fucked pro controller?

Lol i just got to
Zoras Domain
with three hearts ! It can definetly be done ;)

but i didn't found Kakariko :(

It can be done easily, just run past everything, but that's not the way I want to play. And I'd like a little warning if I'm going to go into an area where everything is gonna one shot me.

Going to ask again in case I'm missing something. Playing joy cons separated...Can I use motion control in the left joy con? I swore I read that someone was controlling a rune power with the left joy con with motion. In my case, only the right joy con does anything

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I entered an inn while it was raining and the NPC girl in charge said "I'm glad you came even with this rain!". I thought it was a nice touch

In the shrine at
Zoras Domain
i just put the ball in the round thing but nothing happened what do ypu have to do?

Just did this myself.
Clear out all the plain balls (yes even the one you put in hole) and head to the top. Freeze the glowing ball, throw something at it to hit and make it fall down the slope. Run to the bottom, freeze it again before it falls into the abyss, hit this one into the hole. Viola!

What's a good horse name? I opened up a random horse name generator and it gave me "Daddy". '-__-
Name them after famous people. My one and only horse is called Chesney after 80s icon Hawkes. I don't know why, it just came to me.

Im not even sure how are you supposed to get rupies six hours into the game
I got a whole bunch from two different bokoblin camps. Rupees of all sorts of colours were in every barrel I blew up and every metal box I dropped.

You can also sell pretty much everything you find or make once you reach civilisation. I've met about half a dozen people so far so buy my crap.

So there was another at the top 😬
Thanks will try it

how yall ninjas makin money? are there things I shouldn't bother hoarding?

Hoard everything (except for equips take what you need), just don't sell guardians part and don't sell all ther other stuff (I mean keep at least 10-20 for later if game ask them who knows). Otherwise best way I found is to sell the dishes, some sell for a lot! Just go hunt XD

Where should go get going after doing my first "temple"? Did Vah Ruta first.

I know open world and all but What is the best route so to say.

I hope they stay on this artstyle for a long time. I want to see the Twilight people and other weird shit ala Majora in this universe.

I just want to say, after anticipating Zelda for years and being so hyped up for it since the first footage released back in 2014 (and even before that really when Aonuma first talked about breaking series conventions), I had no idea that this game would exceed my already lofty expectations as much as it does. I just played for 20 straight hours... and I NEVER play more than 2-3 hours at a time these days.

This is the best game I've ever played. And I still haven't even entered a dungeon. I feel like I'm a kid rediscovering games all over again for the first time.

I've never seen so much effort and magic put into a single game before. This is the lushest video game experience ever.

Same! I literally have trouble putting into words just how enthralled I am with this game. Its euphoric. The sense of scale and grand adventure alolng the decision to stop hand holding and let people do whatever they want was the decision this franchise needed. I keeping looking off into the distance and realizing how big this world is. I am spending hours and hours at one location just because of how much there is to do.

You don't need to do that, I literally killed everything on the way there even the
Lynel
with only 4 Hearts when I was streaming and didn't die once.

Pause healing combined with the game's apparent threshold on enemies leaving you with a quarter heart only if you were going to get one shot at max health depending on your defence / buffs really lowers the difficulty.

If you find out you're in an area where you're going to get killed easily - leave. Get stronger and come back. That's what this game is all about.

Blood moon is really cool.

I've only seen two of them and each time there's a small cutscene that plays where Zelda explains what's happening. The second one was shorter - is it going to do this every time? It's not that big of a deal, but just seeing the sky turn red would be enough for me to know "Ahh, it's the Blood Moon".

The game keeps making me smile as I discover new things. I was crossing the Bridge of Hylia and
came across the electric dragon that sleeps in the lake and comes out at night.

To me just the sense of wonder alone is greater than in most recent games.

You generally respawn very close to where you died anyway so really outside of the time lost there is little repercussion for dying in this game, but I get why some would feel that way.

For me personally, Ive just laughed everytime Ive been one shotted because most of the time I knew I didn't have the equipment to be where I was; even when I had no clue it served as a fun way to find that out!

I wanted to do something besides the main quest, so I warped back to the plateau and jumped off in the opposite direction I did at the beginning.

I just wandered into some pretty strong moblins and like 10 of the blue/black bokoblins...
and I found a fire sword wedged into a rock!

Go to the Home Screen and enter the system settings. You should find something that says "Calibrate Motion Controller" or something similar. Just lay it flat and hit either the +/- button.

Hopefully that should fix it :)

Anyone could tell me if an item is required to scan an enemy base? Because when zooming on it, it doesn't me the strength of them.

Can anyone help me

I don't understand the (very early game literally just after Plateau)
Sheikah Sensor
. It seems to just beep st random and there's nothing there?

Does the map upgrade as part of the main story or is it possible to miss it? I'm at the part where
I just got the blue tunic from Impa after triggering the first memory
but the only part that's fully visible on the map is still the center area.

Possible early game scenario spoiler:

The guy that's standing outside Kakariko Village with the eerie green eyes is extremely creepy and that whole "Koga Ninja Assassin Squad" that's after Link is fucking bad-ass and well played by Nintendo.

Is it okay to sell rubies and diamonds and shit or is it used for rare crafting? I'm early game.

I would not sell them if I were you.
They can be used for crafting jewelry or trinkets in the future and upgrading your gear. I had a head piece that needed diamonds to upgrade.

Beat the pre-dungeon mini boss near
Zoras' Domain. The Lynel
.

Seconds later: "The blood moon rises again!" He comes back, one-shots me from behind.

Kind of funny that he's actually harder to kill than the boss of that dungeon.

It told you at the start to climb the Towers to uncover new zones?

I'm enjoying the game but the IQ is absolutely horrendous, but the freedom is great.

I don't get how the fuck this Shiekah Sensor works. the thing beeps, i keep walking, it stops beeping, i turn around, it starts beeping, stops, turn back around, beeps fast... wtf
