Weapon durability is kind of terrible. Are there indestructible weaps and shields?

The weapons get stronger so they last longer.

This game has nailed the feeling of being a traveler. Getting from the Great Plateau to the first stable was an adventure itself, with enemies, treasure, and even random NPCs. When I finally get to the stable I feel like a weary adventurer that actually does want to chill for the night before I head to Kakariko in the morning. And I've been playing at least 10 hours??

Dang non-spotted horses take too much stamina too soothe. Also my boomerang finally broke :-( Such a good tool to hunt wild life. Hope there are others soon.

Cool. Loving the game but the durability serves no purpose but to take you out of the game and to force you to micromanage a terribly limited amount of inventory space.

Add me to the list of Gaffers enamored with this game. Between last night after everyone went to bed, and this afternoon while my daughter took an impromptu nap, I've got about 8 hours in - and it's all flown by. I feel like a kid again.

I used my Link Smash Bros Amiibo and Wolf Link amiibo last night, but on a whim tried the other ones I bought while I was playing smash. They all give you supplies, meats, herbs, fish, mushroom, etc - somewhere between 3-7 per amiibo. Might as well scan em for cooking materials.

Any advice on what to sell? I don't want to sell anything I need for crafting later

Diamonds and other gem stones are easy sells. I was wondering what potions/food I should craft to sell/replenish health. I need a recipe book for this game lol.

Right but my question was about how memories unlocked affect this. People on Reddit have said they reduce the requirement

I just tried with 12 hearts and picked up 2 memories and tried again and I saw no change, but I will let you know that I was really realllllly close with 12 hearts (I have 5 memories total)

I was thinking how crazy it would be if this game had a Nintendo Gallery sidequest.

I can't believe it actually does.

I will never finish this game...

The enemies in this game are so good. You never know when a fight is gonna go south real quick.
Yup. And it nails the Zelda 2 / Dark Souls scary surprises, it's all calm and cozy and all of a sudden something comes along and instakill you right away
"- oh... okay so I'm not going that way yet..."
Love it!

I have spent close to $500 (Switch, Pro Controller, Zelda BoTW) and I am so very disappointed by the performance I am getting on my tv. I can't connect my Switch to the internet, so i haven't been able to perform any updates. Without an update, my framerate dips to about 15/20 during every single enemy encounter. Is that normal? It's practically unplayable, and I'm not having fun.

Is there an explanation of the update? Does it fix the docked framerate?

Well heck, I swiped my Smash Bros Link amiibo ingame and got no horse for it. I did just barely leave the plateau, I wonder if you have to be further along for it to work. (It just gave me a chest with arrows in it.)

I absolutely understand why you wouldn't like it, but it's not true that it serves no purpose.

I love being forced to try new weapons all the time, I love hunting strong enemies for their drop and actually knowing I'll USE said drop for sure, even in the event it's weaker than what I have, I love throwing the weapon at the enemy once it's about to break. I think it's a beautiful system.

For example, I went in my own little adventure into much harder territories than I was expected to, and I got super cool, powerful weapons in a shrine. Now, if weapons didn't break, it'd mean every enemy for the next few hours would be pointless for me to fight...

I can totally get people who don't like it, though.

Very minor spoilers about attention to detail.

I was doing the quest to bring the blue flame to the scientist, decided to roam arround the village with the blue flame in my hand and walked to a npc woman who was very scared of me earlier. She noticed I was helping the scientist and said I was a good boy and gave me an present.

The attention to detail is absurd. This game is amazing.

On a sidenote
Got my ass handed to me on a Major combat challenge. Enemy had 3k hp.

Yeah, this game is pretty good. Just finished one of the main dungeons, and I've been really digging everything this game has to offer so far.

How do you do it?
When you get to Kakariko and meet Impa, she will direct you to someone who can further upgrade your Shiekah Slate.

One of those upgrades is camera

After you obtain it, theres a whole gallery of animals, monsters, materials, treasure and fucking gear to take pictures of.

Game has been amazing since go, I think I'm 20 odd hours in

One divine beast down
Like 20 shrines
Maybe a half dozen towers

The world is just so well put together, an absolute joy to be in and to move around.

My only real gripe is the lack of a cooking interface, making more than 1 or 2 dishes is super time consuming and fiddly.

You can get some stellar weapons early on if you know where to look. Most of the game would be a breeze if they stayed with you throughout the game. I'm glad they broke so I could avoid the temptation of using them over and over.

While I've gotten used to hot swapping items is there no way to hot drop an item? Do I actually have to go into my inventory every time I want to make room for a new weapon/shield/bow that dropped?

I'm scaling a huge mountain and I had to stop because of the rain. Waiting it out, I put my food offerings to a korok thing. The weather clears and the sun comes up. I continued to scale the mountain and reached the top...once I hit the top there was a double rainbow.

;_;

The LatAm Spanish dub is so amazing, holy shit. It's great to finally play a Nintendo game with high-profile Mexican VAs.

I'm pretty sure that's Alondra Hidalgo (Hinata on Naruto) voicing Mipha. It's perfect.

Hold 'R' and release to throw a weapon, bows and shields you have to menu.

the motion control ball board puzzle at hantero village shrine or whatever...

I just want the world to burn. end my suffering

Uggghhh... late last night, right before bed, I did that puzzle, it took me ages but I got it. Then, before I went through the door, I switched back to my Wii U pro controller, but I got some crazy interference or something because Link kept running to the right, walking off a ledge. I tried to turn the controller off but before I could figure out how, he had died, and of course, the save was from when I first entered the shrine, so I had to do it again.
Wish I knew about the upside down trick.

I am absolutely stunned that Nintendo made this kind of game.

Skyward Sword is one of the most obnoxious games ever for its constant hand holding and overly scripted structure. Breathe of the Wild is the complete opposite. It really is the most ambitious game from Nintendo, heck, probably of all time.
