There's
a slanted blockade just next to the goal. You want to get the ball to roll to that slanted blockade and stop it there with an ice block, then put another ice block under it so it rolls over the blockade and into the goal.

That did the trick. Thanks, man. :D

Gonna repost this real quick because I'm sitting at the dialogue prompt unsure

"Should I give this dude my lone korok seed to expand my inventory or is there some reason to stack acquisition of the seeds for something better?"

The first time I saw him he only let me spend two. I'd say do it, but I haven't found any other use yet.

I'd give to him. There are tons of korok seeds. TONS. I have like 20 stockpiled for the next time I see that guy. I think that's all they are used for.
been playing 15 hours and just recently found a horse and have only two korok seeds after beating the first dungeon. this fucking game

where did you found that many? o.O

The giant boomerang has to be the best Shrine reward so far. Man this thing packs a punch. I think I'll cry when it breaks.

I've found maybe 7 in the first area on your way to kakariko? Usually things like
small magnet puzzles, or those little pinwheels? Those usually mean a short three target bow challenge.

Hm, I need a new shield badly. Is there anywhere I can go to get a good one? Still haven't found all the villages, but it'd be nice to pick up a couple of shields since the ones I have are all blinking red.

Today's word... is bird. I managed to find, enter and beat the bird Divine Beast dungeon.

You know a dungeon is going to be special when it starts with an aerial dogfight against the entire dungeon itself, then boarding it and taking it over from the inside, culminating in a boss fight that wouldn't feel out of place in a Souls game... Amusingly, I always expected Star Fox to be the game where you would fight the entire stage as a boss. Then Zelda got there first and started the dungeon with it. Well played!

And now Link can fly from a standstill. Oh yes. That will come in handy. No more looking for a way up, just hold X. I bet this will make some shrines amusingly short, too.

As awesome as the dogfighting part was, the rest was kinda underwhelming for me... The boss was "shoot it until it dies"...

Oh, and you can't use the bird ability in shrines :(

I don't know what people are talking about with these puzzles, I only ever find these seeds under random rocks.

Basically look for anything in the environment that is amiss and it's usually a Korok seed puzzle. So rocks in trees, an uncompleted pattern, etc.

Is there a way to tell if an item is useless for anything but selling to a merchant?

A few vendors said they wanted various things. Is a ruby just vendor trash? Is there a particular vendor who would buy a ruby for more than others?

The Pro controller is much better, it's like one of the best controllers ever, easily worth the money imo, zero regrets buying it.
Goddamn you guys. Looks like i will be making a $70 purchase soon. Saw some at best buy.

Thanks everyone.

Ability spoiler:
Aw, but I wanted to cheat at puzzles.

I guess I'll just have to live with bullet time on demand with a rapidfire bow. That may have uses. Reminds me a bit of Vanquish. Link needs a slide for that to fit, though.

So
fairy fountains
are used for gear upgrades? Just went to the one at
Kokoriko
and upgraded two pieces of clothing. Can you do the same for weapons or is that even an option given how much they break?

Finding some of the memory locations is hard as fuck. Can someone tell me where the one in
the woods
and the one with the
goddess statue
are? I've checked the F
aron Woods
and K
orok Forest
. Nothing...

Just plugged my console into my Sony tv. I put the motionflow on smooth, and this is the best fake 60fps I ever saw. Of course there is a slight input delay, but this game seems forgiving.

I'm only really beginning. I've completed two shrines in the Great Plateau which I found by chance. Are they marked on the map so I'm not aimlessly wandering about the place?

Okay..i hope im right about this.

The shrines and what they teach or show is not LOCKED to the location you find them, right?

Say no matter where you find your 5th or 6th shrine the contents are preset. I just did the one that teaches you how to parry and roll...two things i didnt know were in the game...and id be fucking annoyed if the game only tells you that in this specific dungeon.

Where did you find these two shrines?

go to the tower again. the old man will teach how to see them and
cook pepeers so you can be resistant to cold

So you're saying I DIDN'T need to climb the mountain nearly freezing Link to death lol
.

I did find out that jumping off the cliff into the cold water does kill you. I think that when you die by the cold, the game font being blue is a nice detail.

Found G
oron City
and rushed inside while on fire lol I went through my whole inventory of food. Found the armor shop and bought some flame resistant armor. The Goron shopkeeper's eyes were wide open and was like what the hell are you doing here dressed like that here. This game lol, probably not how you are supposed to handle that but it worked.

This game is basically dark souls if you avoid the main path. I haven't been to Kakariko yet and instead explored the beach areas and forests to the east. Everything one shots you, but you can get some great loot and access to shrines while improving your mechanical skills. It's real dope.

Man, I cleared a camp in the evening so figured I'd use the campfire until morning. What happens? Blood Moon. Everything respawns around me. I couldn't leg it out of there quick enough.

Where is best to find bundles of wood to
pay for the house?
There's a forest to the North. Go crazy.

I would recommend hitting Kakariko and the story quest immedietly after it as soon as possible because you get one last ability that makes some stuff significantly more manageable (with an upgrade). I just did and now I'm going to set off and fuck around before heading for any of the further objectives
