Is anyone else getting a strange screen tearing effect on the Switch version?

Like the screen will tear and the colors will change?

Hey.

Have just unlocked the locations of the four beasts and am gonna tackle the Zora one first.

However on my way there I'm being destroyed by enemies as all my equipment is rubbish and I'm never given fire arrow or any other arrows.

Am I missing something? Am I meant to hang around the plateau and the kikoriko village area to beat things and rank up before going on? I'm confused. Thanks

Seems photos of the
Ganonblights
are indeed missable if you didn't get them in their boss battles, friend says you can't buy them from Symin. Unfortunate if people missed out

I need cold resistance. I have the Warm Doublet but it's not enough. Anyone know where I can get matching pants to up resistance? Worse case I guess I could just find a torch. I'm in the northwest region of the map heading for the tower.

I've yet to confirm it first hand, but I think EVERY weapon is limited... but you can
repair/recharge the more "unique" weapons

Yeah you get unique weapons when you finish one of the divine beast story lines and you can always go back to the person who gave it to you and repair them

I'm not talking about increasing the timer, but the effect. You can't climb Mount Lanrayu with ordinary cold resistance. Eating just peppers won't be enough

I think clothing so far is the only way for higher tier resistance.

Rito Village
sells an entire set but it is really expensive.

spicy food is more than enough to get you by.

i'm waiting out the rain just to climb a big tree. I don't even know if anything is up there. But there probably is!

Edit: yep, there was a Korok up there underneath a rock.

Buy Hylian equipement set in shop
Upgrade it at fairy fountain that is behind Hateno and you should be good
Try also to do enough shrine to unlock 1 heart.

How do you party the loser by raising the shield ?, If so I dunno why I haven't tried I just dodged them ran away till he ceases fire

I believ there are 2 types of attack, one is shooting laser doing circles around itself, it also creates wind going upwards so uou can jump and use the glider to attack from above.

The other is one just like the big guardians, you can parry that like any other arrow.

At the risk of sounding like a bit of an elitist prick, with some of the queries or immediate need for guidance towards the simplest things and a loss of direction (not in a wanderlust way, in a "where am I actually supposed to be going?" way) from the main quests simple dot marker/markers I begin to understand where the series slow and steady increase in overly wordy tutorialising reached its wrist shattering conclusion with Skyward Swords handholding.

Though it is true that the game really goes to the opposite extreme, I'm just imagining the amount of players missing so many Korok seeds due to the many repeated brands of simple puzzles hidden in plain sight that wont be immediately obvious until you observe the recurring oddities in the overworld like the apple offerings, rock circles and so on, I actually consider it pretty damn ballsy of them this time around.

I have been trying to do the challenge on Eventide Island for a few hours, and always foil up in some place of it. I will do it, though. No matter how long it takes, I shall not stop until it's done.

Strange feeling, I usually get fed up with these things quick, but for this game, I just want to try again and again. Magical game.

The fact that the [upgrade spoiler]
sheikah sensor +
lets you do the
search for weapons
is a game changer for me.

Blood moons are killing me. They happen every other night and interrupt my progress. They love to trigger whn I'm climbing or doing sn arrow challenge

I found some of them by accident. Is there a pattern to look out for?

The statues with the bowls in front of them and the circle of flowers in water seem to be common ones

Not one I've spied much outside the early hours but you've got the twin magnetic block structures on some walls as well.

Tell tales signs of some of the more minigame like ones such as shooting targets are usually triggered in small spirals of scattering wind and leaves.

Hmm...

I'm so conflicted on either buying this on the Wii U or the Switch first. They both run almost similar, but still tough to decide. I'm going to be buy both versions sooner or later to build up my Wii U collection and start my switch collection.

Cooking lunch for my kid, playing both joycons unconnected and using the kickstand on the counter. I really hope some current gen titles get announced, I would probably lean to the Switch over PS4. It's just so damn convinient.

This game truly is sublime. The whole experience is deftly crafted balance of tension and harmony.

Today I woke up with no errands to run and my wife was up early grading papers. I stayed in bed for 2 hours and played. It felt awesome. Some highlights from this morning's session:

- I had a full on Aragorn moment on the beach fighting the
seven Bokoblin camp for the sheep quest on the beach
. I came to this section ill-prepared. I didn't have much cooked food or enough viable weapons. I get to the end of the battle and there was
one of the Green Bokoblins left
and my last weapon is about to break. I'm definitely under-geared for this fight. I have half a heart left, he grabs a rock to throw it at me and at the same time I'm charge my weapon throw at him. He chucks the rock as I release my weapon and they collide in mid air and explode in between us with that brilliant blue weapon shatter. He then looks at a dropped weapon on the ground in between us and so do I. I dash toward it, pick it up and in one motion jump and do an air lunge for the kill shot!

- Also, in the same area this morning I found a
Major Test of Strength
. If the previous fight was not indication that I need to train and prepare a little more, this was. The fight was completely one sided and I was barely able to make a dent on multiple attempts. Next session is going to be about working my way back a little and pausing on story progression. I want to build a large cache of food, elixir and weapons. As well as complete a lot more shrines.

Has anyone found a good way to play around 2h weapons? I'm finding that they are great for fighting through lighter enemies, but it feels like sword and board is a priority. I guess after all, it's a Zelda game. 1h sword and shield is kind of a staple.

So are there actually
nine hundred
Korok seeds. I am running into a bunch but that still seems insane. I really want to
use them to upgrade my inventory because I'm always running out of space since I want to keep some higher level weapons for tougher enemies.
That sounds.. intimidating. They must really be everywhere. It's been said over and over but man this game is huge

Some of these Korok Seed puzzles in the world are really neat, found one on the of a peak of a random mountain and
there were three boulders on top. I looked around and there were 2 trees that's spread apart from each other down the hill and I immediately knew it was a puzzle. I rolled 1 down and got it between the 2 trees on my first try.....awesome.
. It's really fun to stumble upon them when you're just exploring the world.

Also has many people noticed the 3
apple trees
spread out throughout the world? I've traveled many places and I always see them around at random places. Wonder what quest that is....

And lol, fought a 2 unarmed Lizalfos and threw a bomb at 1 of them them. 1 was already down behind me and the other ran up to the bomb and flicked it with it's tail towards me, I dodged it and then detonated it as hit the other Lizalfo who was getting up! I freakin' love the unpredictability of the combat and I really hope that Nintendo can have their video capture function up really soon because there's sooooo many hilarious and awesome moments in this game!
