The ancestors of the current hylians built them over 10,000 years prior to the game to work with the previous Link and Zelda to defeat Ganon. That's all really we need to understand about them I feel. Not a complex idea. But as you know, same trick seldom works twice which resulted in this game's plot.

Thanks. I kind of figured as much but wasn't sure. They have a pretty cool design.

So is there a comprehensive list of mounts yet?

I know of (spoilers obviously)

Spotted Horse, Solid Color Horse, Bear, Giant Horse, Lord of the Mountain, Royal White Stallion, Skeleton Horse, Deer, Epona

Bought the goron armor, I'm broke now but tomorow I will go back at the bottom of the mountain and kill all those fuckers è_é Time to sleep, phew

I didn't expect getting a horse back from the dead would be so expensive... But still, worth it to have Epona back. Also, the
Horse God
was terrifying.

You're forgetting Lynels and Silver Lynels

Oh, and I believe some ostriches too if I'm not mistaken

Oh! And
Sand dolphins

Just got to my first motion control shrine. Five minutes later and I had to turn the game off. By FAR the worst aspect of the game.

ARGH.

Finally found that Nintendo Switch dlc bonus shirt and lol it actualy looks good....ohwell the Switch is awesome so i don't mind it:)

git gud.

No but seriously I haven't had much trouble with any of the motion-control puzzles I've encountered thus far.

I have to be over 25 hours in at this point and I'm still impressed by this game, in fact the more that clicks with me in the game play and the more I discover, the deeper and more rewarding the experience gets.

Even the cooking, while being kind of fun and little intimidating at first with the freedom you are given, can be a little more intuitive than I first thought since you kind of approach it like you with a real meal (add meat with veggies/fruit, add some spices or other ingredients and it's a new dish) then once I got that dishes only can have one effect at a time and the amount of ingredients increases the effect or hearts, it's pretty easy to grasp. Even making a fire to quickly cook a few raw ingredients while you are out exploring it pretty satisfying. I only wish that with how much it might rain while you are out that there were more caves or places to find covering when I'm out so I can just set up camp and wait out a storm or cook. The main places I've found to do that are Bokoblin camps but those fires are doused when it starts raining.

Holy shit, lol, went way too far for the first memory. Just saw a video where the location was. The photo makes it look a lot closer to the castle than I thought.... :/

Not gonna lie: I suck at cooking. I end up negating the bonuses I initially wanted by putting too much into the pot. Hearts for days tho. I have recently learned that less is more when going for specific effects.

I've had some time to think this over, and I feel pretty confident about it.

This is the best game I've ever played.

People talk about the honeymoon phase and all, but I genuinely can't see it for this game. This is the first open world game that I've truly loved for its open world, rather than just tolerating it at best.

Although I've warmed up to the game a bit since my earliest impression (after making my way to one of the divine beasts), every time I come across one of those flashbacks I can't help but think how much I'd rather be on that adventure with Zelda and the other champions than the one the game actually makes you play.

I miss the partner characters that have been a staple of the series since Ocarina of Time. While Fi was overbearing, I miss things like Midna's Snarkiness or simply having another character to react to events along side Link's silent stoic-ness.

One of the major problems I have with this game is the whole "no registering non-horse mounts at a stable" thing. It seems arbitrary. Let me have my weird mount forever.

Need some help in one of the dungeons.

elephant dungeon. There's a monster that spits out other monsters heads on a slope to a higher level. How do I deal with it?

Dude... Providing for multiple types of mounts would require a far more sophisticated stable setup. These are simple folk scraping by after a giant disaster.

Have a heart. :/

:P

at this point i can easily look past my negativity on weapon degradation.

Shrines and Kuroks are the worst part of this game. It feels a bit tedious I'm on 10 hearts atm with just beating the first real dungeon and must say I think shrines are the most annoying thing in this game. They are not hard outside of the battle test ones where you can basically one shotted.

Every other game ever is going to be ruined by not being able to climb everything, and jump off cliffs safely. I've never had so much fun just exploring a world.
I'm strangely satisfied with finally having the house. I just like having something I can consider a home hub to return to and having a place to store some of my better weapons is hugely appreciated. I'm actually a little worried about having enough weapons to complete a boss when I finally encounter one. Next on my checklist is to get a horse and find a stable, hopefully after that I can head to the Zora domain finally. It's wierd. I've logged a fair amount of hours now but achieved virtually nothing in the main quests.
I don't even care of this is a spoiler, the only thing I could think of to make this game better was if I had a house I could store weapons at. I'm so glad to see this is possible.

I'm attending a three day conference for work this week and things got slow in the middle of today with no events scheduled. Wasn't staying at the host hotel so I didn't want to leave and just ended up hanging out near a coffee shop. Perfect opportunity to pull one of these:

Need help for a quest in
Hateno Village with the lanterns.

....

What do I do if I don't have any torches/tree branches? I can't just get tree branches from normal trees can I? I can only get wood =/

Don't know if I need to have that spoilered.

Zelda sounds like a Royal brat 😷

I swear, the voice director must have told both Zelda's VA and the actress portraying Mipha to do some weird falsetto thing that is horrible. If they talked like women instead of like stoned fairies it would be so much better.

There is a spare torch in the goal building.

You can light arrows and fire them from lantern to lantern.
