Do Guardians
respawn during blood moons?

Yes and its fucking annoying. Cleared out the stationary one near (location spoiler)
Akkala Lab, Blood moon and that fucker came back

So I understand cooking for cold areas, but how about hot....

Don't think I've seen a hint of that yet

Yep there is. (Cooking spoiler)
You can easily go to a cold mountain, drop some food and it'll become Icy food that lowers your body temp.

Is anyone else having a hard time picking the stamina upgrade over the heart? Since the original, I've been conditioned to pick the heart when available. I have 7 or 8 hearts now but haven't upgraded my stamina yet and don't plan to any time soon. It would be nice to have more of it but I've still been able to climb every tower, etc that I've come across with what I've got.

On a side note, I'm having a really hard time upgrading my Stasis. I can't find the necessary parts for some reason although I have like 20 of each of the other ancient gear/shaft etc pieces. Any clues where I can find the necessary components or is it more a matter of luck when searching the guardians?

You can find cores in shrines as well as getting them by defeating guardians.

Today I planned on doing another main quest. That never happened. The good news is that I have a lot of minerals lol. Have probably around 10-15k in that now.

Also started to mark all major encounters in the world. Nice for farming.

Have anyone any info on how often those respawn?

I hate durability in games, hate it.. But I can live with it if it's not constant... I just wish they'd patch and make weapons not as breakable... Add another half of the length they have perhaps. But overall, loving the game

I assume they must respawn during the
Blood Moon, like everything else
.

Can't believe I've done 90 shrines and had no idea Link could buy
a house
. Where the hell is this Bolson guy?

As you get later in the game and the game is giving out awesome weapons like candy, when a weapon breaks is the best feeling.

"Sweet! Now I can pick up the next awesome thing I see without having to debate which of my 16 weapons I really like to drop!"

Are Diamonds used for anything or can I safely sell the 3 I have? I'm saving a few of the other high-ticket minerals but there's nothing in the Diamond's description that suggests it's used for anything but selling.

yes, don't sell them. By far more useful than the other gems

They are indeed used in crafting.

They're used for some outfit upgrades and for
reforging special weapons
. There is an easy turn in quest in
Zora's Domain
where you can get one for 10 Luminous Ore.

Side question, all those gears and springs and stuff they drop, do they have any use
other than upgrading your Slate abilities?
Cause otherwise I can make bank selling them.

The other research lab that you're pointed to uses the materials to craft equipment. You can make the super anti-Guardian arrows there, and also an armor set and the weapons/shields.

I've been there, the house past the model village, right? There was never anyone there the two times I was there. Assumed all of that was just for show.

Yeah, should be some guys hitting the house with hammers. There is a third guy around back. Weird they weren't there, maybe they're only there during the day.

Crafting. Keep them for crafting you will want to.

Was playing last night and my wife was sitting next to me working on something completely unrelated. I galloped into Hateno Village and she started humming, completely unaware she was doing it.

The music in this game is so, so good.

I love the "main" part of the theme and I always hum that myself. Having the Animal Crossing compose the soundtrack for BoTW was a great idea.

The music is sparse but when it's there, its fantastic.

Should be some stuff around depending on which area you're in. Look for lizards or melons.

Also cooking.

Use an ice arrow to hunt. Throw some meat and an ice chu jelly together and blow it up
Really wonder how you all figured this out lol

did anyone figured out the riddle that Kass give on the beach east to hateno village?

Yes. 17 of 24 refers to hour 17 of 24 hours. Aka 5pm.

When it's 5pm, the shadow of the rock covers a part of the water that has a chest in it. Use magnesis to dig it up. It's just a couple of rupees, lol.

Simply keep high damage weapons for bosses and mini bosses. Use weapons that enemy goons drop against them. I have had zero qualms with the weapon system. I actually highly enjoy it because it adds another layer of strategy to the combat.

Stuff I plan to do today:

* Try and beat my first Guardian.
* Explore an island on the map named
Koholit Island
* Defeat the Rito GB, since people say the power makes exploring easier.
* Find Hestu's 2nd location and upgrade some slots.

Y'know I haven't been out into the ocean yet, are there sharks?

Oooh, does this work on dropped Jelly or does it have to be living monsters?

The former. It just kinda happened, but...yeah.

This game is the gaming equivalent of folklore. They'll be finding new stuff in this game for years.

Throw chu jelly on metal box and get it struck by lighting > Yellow Chu Jelly

What the hell?

Right now i have 4 elemental weapons and one ice staff. Im running out of space for these.

I stumbled upon the moderate test of strength shrine and was surprised to see an
enemy in there, he made me sweat a bit as I'm only 10 shrines in and don't have much - anyway I beat him,
and saw an island off the coast, decided to literally throw caution to the wind and jump off, was awesome being able to paraglide out to it. Step in and see the text - major test of strength

FML - I beat it tho,
using the weapons I received from the moderate version

I love this game

Dropped jelly. You dont need to use weapons either. Drop any color jelly next to an element and it will change to that element. For example drop a white jelly next to a camp fire, or any source of fire it will turn red. Drop a blue into freezing water, snow and itll turn into white. Get your jellys hit by lightning or touching electrically charged objects to get yellow.

Can you replay the Test of Strength Shrines?

Awesome, I know what I'm doing tonight.

Same here. the Moderate one was difficult. Then I saw it pop up and say Major and I started cursing. Had to come back to it later since I burned so many weapons on the Moderate on.

Then later I found the Minor one and laughed my way through it.

I should mention
prepare yourself if you try the island that is even FARTHER out, it's like Lord of the Flies out there. It's where I'm currently stuck because I refuse to leave until I beat it.
