Durability in this game is good because the damage you do never changes, and you can do 2x damage with the final throw. I hate it when I have a weapon that is basically useless because I've used it too much, and then I have to use a whetstone or go somewhere to fix it. This lets me focus on the world itself and find other weapons. It's also allowed me to try every weapon I've found to figure out which ones to grab and which ones to ignore. It's a great system, and I usually hate durability... it's one of the things I had to mod in TW3, along with encumbrance, to make it tolerable.

I've played the game about 8 hours so far I'd say and I spent half of that just walking around doing stuff. While I'm discovering intersting things, I think I'm missing out of the stuff that seems linked to the main quest line (after reading some pages of the OT).

Does the main quest line make you travel to all regions? Or at least the vast majority? I may stick to this line if it means I can make more overall ''progress''.

Same here. the Moderate one was difficult. Then I saw it pop up and say Major and I started cursing. Had to come back to it later since I burned so many weapons on the Moderate on.

Then later I found the Minor one and laughed my way through it.

I should mention
prepare yourself if you try the island that is even FARTHER out, it's like Lord of the Flies out there. It's where I'm currently stuck because I refuse to leave until I beat it.

Is there a shrine out there?

Master Sword
get!!!

Stats actually aren't that amazing, it's pretty strong but I've had stronger one-handed weapons already.

Are you on the Great Plateau still?

The same way you got up. Either by equipping your Warm Doublet or eating Spicy Peppers. I'm a little confused by your post though. You mention trying to go up and down at the same time. Are you somehow stuck in the middle?

Edit: I forgot you can fast travel too. You can just warp back somewhere.

Sounds like fast travel is the answer. I think I'm still on the great plateau, although I went through a little valley to get to this shrine. I frankly forgot that fast travel was an option. Thanks!

Not looking for spoilers but I find I'm hurting for cash quit a bit. I have lots of gems and ores but I'm paranoid tof sell them for fear of stumbling upon some great weapon smith. Is it ok to unload a bunch? Ivery done se shrines and towers and I'm still in the clothes I got from waking up at the start. I've found lots if weapons but never armour. Is the only source of armour buying it?

Upgraded sensor and rare ore picture = $$$$$

My friend who is father than me in the game is starting to see white monsters (that were normal before) with 800 HP even his common weapons have an effect now o.o'

Fired up this bad boy for the first time last night.

WOW!

This IS a modern day Zelda 1. It’s so wonderful how you can get distracted from the main objectives and just wander around the world doing different things. I’ve only put in about 3 hours or so, but the world is very charming and begs to be explored(still on the Great Plateau, btw). Before release, I was convinced this game would consume me and suck me in for the long run. Looks like I was absolutely right! On the downside, the frame rate drops can get pretty severe, but it’s something I can adjust to. So far, the overall package is very impressive and I’m absolutely loving it!

I stumbled upon the moderate test of strength shrine and was surprised to see an
enemy in there, he made me sweat a bit as I'm only 10 shrines in and don't have much - anyway I beat him,
and saw an island off the coast, decided to literally throw caution to the wind and jump off, was awesome being able to paraglide out to it. Step in and see the text - major test of strength

FML - I beat it tho,
using the weapons I received from the moderate version

I love this game

You must be really good at dodging because I had to leave those shrines lol.

There is some armor in shrines, but not a lot. I honestly haven't found any real use for most of the ores. They're not hard to find either.

Yes. 17 of 24 refers to hour 17 of 24 hours. Aka 5pm.

When it's 5pm, the shadow of the rock covers a part of the water that has a chest in it. Use magnesis to dig it up. It's just a couple of rupees, lol.

damn, thanks! I knew that it means 5 pm, but i didn't understand what to look for after that (and from where)

Red chuchu to start a fire, white chuchu to freeze food, yellow chuchu to disarm ennemies

There's some armor I had that needed some to upgrade

I think you can use it to dye. It also sells for a decent amount given how ultra common it us.

They're basically like traps. When you hit them, they release their effect. For example, you can drop some electric jelly in a group of enemies and set it off to disarm them.
What the fuck

I have so much jelly in my inventory

this is a revelation!

He also find some islands:
that're mini battle dungeons, he call them mazes. Not much puzzle because more focused on battle

I've been there, the house past the model village, right? There was never anyone there the two times I was there. Assumed all of that was just for show.
Well yeah they are "show homes" after all. They are in one of them at night sleeping. Otherwise outside your house or the other ones.

There's tonnes linked to that and a very nice thing with another town.

It took many, many hours but I finally found something to complain about. Lost Woods navigation spoilers:
So I arrived there riding my horse and
I naturally start following the trail of torches, noticing how the wind blows towards the next step. Eventually you find a torch you can pick up as the trail ends... so I dismount, pick it up, light it and start following the wind's direction.

"Wait, damn it... my horse. I can't abandon it here!"

I whistle, but Link puts the torch away first.

"Oh. That wont do. I can't climb a horse without putting it away first either, can I? Nope."

Then, an idea: I can get on the horse and light up the torch after. Yup, it works!

But Link isn't holding the torch up, he simply lets it rest against his leg and the horse... who promptly is ON FIRE, and throws me to the ground.

Basically, don't bring your horse to the Lost Woods, I guess?

Jesus. Tried finding the Toon Link and Ocarina of Time Link amiibo's in stores today. Not a one had them. On eBay they go for triple the price.

Nintendo? Make more?

If you don't mind me asking, specifically what Lynel parts does it need and how many? Because I still have a couple parts from the Lynel I killed but used some as well. Want to know if I need to kill another one.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, you'll need a bunch so just hold on to it.
The Barbarian Set requires Lynel Horns and Hooves just for the level 1 upgrade and I don't even have enough to to upgrade the one piece of armour of I have from that set it despite killing about three Lynels in my entire time playing the game.

I should come to this thread more often.

Didn't know anything about chu chu jelly, I just sold it all when I have to much to get some dough, since it's not rare and relatively valuable.
