Spent about 45 minutes searching for my last photo memory at
Hyrule Castle
.
I had completely and utterly convinced myself it was going to be on the north eastern side and the fact that I could see a cliff and architecture combo matching the picture strongly had me slowly going mad in my pursuit of it, sure it was a bit off but things change in 100 years.
Eventually to my annoyance I broke and got a guide up, it was of course on the west side and I'd gone straight past it numerous times.
FUCK.

Well it's done now off to the fourth beast tomorrow.

This is crazy. Didn't know it worked this way. Will try to save some of mine for this situation,

Ooh yeah, I've been doing that a lot, you can even
melt ice by just standing next to it with a Flamesword.

For the life of me I just cannot figure out how the tracker works. Got it tracking treasure chests and it's beeping like crazy but I can never see them. Are they sometimes buried underground or something?!

If it's beeping like crazy, keep walking straight. I realized it doesn't have anything to do with how close you are, but which direction you're going

if i have to find a defect on this game, other than the rain being unavoidable and too frequent,it's that they kinda dropped the ball on a good chunk of the shrines...
maybe i'm just unlucky..but i'm finding a lot of "test of strenght" that are just the same battle with 1 single enemy with a little more or less health but almost the same attacks...and a lot of shrines where thre's literally just one single puzzle and they are done...the first ones where at least 3 variation in quick succession...

that being said then i've found one that was the longest shrines of all with lots of puzzles one after the other...so it's definitely a mixed bag

Ok questions someone hellllp

I'm super early in the game, haven't even went to kakariko village yet but wanted to explore Hyrule castle, I managed to get in and looted some really nice ass weapons and shield

Now I'm afraid that these things will be gone forever if I break them now...Is this true??? Or will I be able to get them back if I went to the castle again when they break???

For those scared of breaking the hylian shield, there's a way to get it back

what's the point of warm clothing if the only warm clothing offered by the game isn't warm enough for half of the snow areas?

To not make a third of the food system obsolete. With the clothing you only need a low level cold resistance food for the coldest places

they don't respawn, but in this game you are never without weapons for long,so i wouldn't be worried about it..there's probably a ton more you weren't able to get in that area.

Finally killed my first guardian on the way up to
akkala lab.
Do these guys respawn?

Also did anyone notice the goron music in the lab?

Fun times with amiibo

The Hero of Time has returned!

It took me like 45 minutes of reloading to get the shirt and Epona (they were the only two pieces I needed)

Can you elaborate? I haven't really found areas that have caused a problem for my snow gear, outside of cold water of course. Do you just have the shirt that's offered early on, or have you found multiple pieces of warm gear? I usually have to wear two warm armor pieces, and haven't had a problem.

Finished my 2nd dungeon,
The goron divine beast

Again, disappointing dungeon. Clever puzzles but it's so short... I managed to finish it in about 35mins... Oh well

The reward you get at the end is a (weapon spoiler)
60 atk claymore-type weapon that was used by Daruk... I took it and put it in my weapon display at my house, I don't want to use and break it by respect for him :p

You would be correct. It's north of lake Floria if I remember correctly.

Exellent thanks! I'm on my way now, lol yeah if the other two shrines were any indication then this is the only logical conclusion, how far north? I see like 3 possible candidates for it and one is like waaay by jia highlands

Sometime they are half buried. you have to pull them with the magnet.

There's more warm clothing out there. In the coldest areas you need more than one piece of warm clothing.

They stack?

It's kind of dumb in that case that the
Snow Shoes, for some reason don't provide warmth

My choices for head ware are a tiara or a silly bird feather thing. Boooring. Hood + Rito coat + snow shows is my look... and it's not even good for snow even if it looks perfect for snow

Explain the multiple reloading and how I can get all of the OOT items in one sitting, for example.

The amiibo only have a small chance to drop their exclusive loot. However, the chance resets every time you load, so you can just save scum until you get the item you wanted.

I save scummed for 4 days to complete this entire set, since you only get one special amiibo item a day (per Zelda themed amiibo).

The Biggoron Sword and the three Hero of Time items come from the Ocarina of Time Link amiibo, and Epona comes from the Smash Link amiibo.

Hmmm this mini boss battle took a lot of tries:
Lynel in Zora's Domain. I only have 4 hearts. That's probably the issue?
I am wondering if I should do some shrines before tackling
Divine Beast Vah Ruta
or was this mini boss deemed one of the harder ones?

I think I died at him more than any boss in Nioh lol

You're meant to stealth around him to get the arrows at this point, not tackle him head on
Come back to him later in the game and show him who's the boss

Gerudo Town question

is my only option to get female gerudo clothes is to spend 600 gems? There has to be another option. Been chilling behind this dude and it's 4am and he hasn't moved

Do pinwheels do anything? I've found 2 pinwheels just sitting somewhere, spinning in the wind, and I thought they meant koroks, but I can't find anything.

Also, can I tame the dogs at farms so they follow me around like wolf link?

Really wasn't that hyped going in, but almost immediately the game blew me away in ways that the trailers and screenshots never could.

Just flew off the plateau before calling it a day.

Edit: I'm also interested in the amiibo unlocks for this game. Are they the only way to get the classic green tunic?

Edit 2: Also great OT!

This penniless fella ain't wearing threads made from rito feathers that's for sure.
I accidentally came into a ton of money in today's play session

I got lost in some maze in the desert for like an hour and came back with loads of cash because every chest in there has like 100 rupees in it and there's tons of chests

and

*SPOILER*

A really nice piece of armor
