Don't be a wimp and kill him :).
Shoot regular arrows at his head to stun him, run towards him and mount with A, and hack away, get thrown off and repeat.
Died like 10 times or so. Felt very Dark Souls-y!

I will fucking do that with my new character, mark my words! This fucker is going down!

Yeah, not gonna try gathering all those seeds...

I don't look for them on purpose, I just go to areas looking for loot and they pop up. Always a pleasant surprise.

Does lighting all the lamps in H
ateno
do anything?

Yes..it's a quest/task or whatever.

Dont think do. They just serve as checkpoints for the main story quest, unless i have missed one.

Maybe I missed one too - I didn't do it on my way up there but I did it on the way back and nothing triggered.

i'm sad about (zora domain slight spoils)
the zora suit that lets you climb waterfalls is more like 'it will let you climb these waterfalls, the ones we mark that you are able to climb'. I want to climb like every damn waterfall, even these shitty tiny trickles in the east of the map.

You reminded me that I have yet to do that in the overworld. Are there climbable ones?

In the end Guardians really aren't that menacing if you take them one on one. I used to be super scared of them and now I can breeze through Hyrule Fields without much worries.

This game really hammers the lack of trophies/achievements on Ninty's machines. This is perfect Platinum trophy material.

I wanna go home and play! P_P

After way too long looking for him I finally found Dinraal. I was about to give up when he appeared.

<delete SPOILER PIC>

Thanks for the scale, mr. Dragon.

I guess I should go kill Ganon now.

SAAAAAAAFE FOR THE SPOILER BRUV!!
FFS!

Not coming here anymore

Was attacked by a
"traveler"
like usual but I was suprised to see the Goron walking near me on the road stoping by and interacting with the event, with emotes and some dialog. That was a nice little touch.

Platinium would've been hard to unlock with the korok seed to gather, lol

Btw, this game probably has the worst voice acting ever. It is ATROCIOUS. Wish we could hear japanese voiceovers

So far I think it's really just Zelda. She is too quite and soft spoken while trying to sound posh and it just doesn't seem like a real person. I don't know if it is the sound mixing or the acting but like, when she is frustrated or whatever it just comes across as someone pretending to be a posh person with their idea of anger rather than how VA should work where you believe the character is real and is going through those emotions.

The others seemed fine though. Mipha is very close to Zelda but I think pulls it off a little better. The rest though sound fine.

Wow... Lynel's are no joke. Am I supposed to
kill the one for the Zora mission or just run around collecting lightning arrows?
<- Mission spoilers

Either, or. Or skip it entirely by having enough of the item at the start.

I swear to god Voltfin Trout do not exist. I have checked every single body of water in this game and my radar is not going off (bought the picture set)

Did the shrines on the Great Plateau last night and saved the game right on the edge of the huge drop leading into the main game.

The adventure starts proper this evening!

I love it when people complain about spoilers but then quote the image, so even more people see it. No sympathy from me when you pull off that shit.

I mean you can see these
dragons flying around
throughout the game, even at the start...
And you can see the last boss too. Do you remember your first time seeing one of these? Cause now that memory for people is seeing you post it in a forum.

Oh wow, I had no idea you could do that! It's really easy getting flurry attacks against him so I just did that. Will try as soon as I get home!

Also, how many korok seeds are there? Thought there was a 100, but it's gotta be more.

I love the npc reactions, saw a goron and gerudo traveling together and a wolf startled them. Talking to them, they had new dialogue based of that encounter. Cool little detail.

Are you really making the argument that, in a game that happens in any infinite number of sequences, people should know this thing is out there and should have already seen it for themselves? This would have been a really amazing surprise. I would have loved to discover this for myself. I have been playing for 30 hours and haven't seen so much of a glimmer of this thing. We have a massive spoiler thread for this reason.

I am not usually sensitive to spoilers but, come on, that is a massive spoiler that just depressed a bunch of people here. Including me.

I fought it...killed me like 10 to 15 times. But I got the hang of how to fight him. Is not necessary in all honesty as you can find shock arrows by other means...but it felt SO, SO satisfying when I did it. One of my best battles, learning the pattern, then re-learning another pattern when he changes. Great battle all around, make sure to take a picture of it :P

First one I saw was Farosh before I even left the plateau. And I wouldn't have given a fuck if someone posted a picture first.

I find it funny you're so terrified of the image of a random creature unrelated to the story in a game that contains many random creatures unrelated to the story, but I removed it as soon as the first person complained

I saw one of these *on the beginner plateau* in my first hour playing. I thought it was a very common thing to see.

Exactly... and for what... a not-at-all subtle humblebrag? SMH

Therr is a npc that will give you hints.

I got a question about that.

You mean the painter in Kakariko, right? He's only given me one hint so far and that was for a photo I had already found a location for. Now, whenever I talk to him, he just talks about that spot and that's it. Do I have to do something to get him to spill the beans on some other photos of mine?

Finally reach Goron city...talk about it being hard O_O

I got lost and thought since I was near a shrine, meant I was near the city...No, I was near a shrine surrounded by lava with just 5 minutes left on my fire resistance. Did manage to find the right path...found the shrine and died right afterwards from fire burns :P The price to stay on goron city is high!! Damn Goron armor store extortion!!

Really getting distracted when I set mt goals toward somewhere. Is all 'Shiny stuff in the distance! That mountain looks suspicious...time ti climb! And enemy camp in the distance...attack!!!'.
You don't
need to buy the full set. Just two items. Helmet is overpriced and useless.

Maybe we should create an spoiler thread, so people could share their pictures and gifs without a problem. Though it should be different from the that is already created that contain leaked footage.

I found a couple randomly by the wooden bridge crossing the Hylia(?) river to the east of Hyrule castle and south of what I assume is the lost woods area (haven't gone up there yet but got the tower near-ish this spot)

For all the spoiler talk, I saw that creature towards the east side of the map, just above a deep ridge. I was riding alongside the mountains when I saw it in the distance. Beautiful, really. Almost like it could exist in real life. It veered down into the abyss, and the nearby NPCs at a ranch told me about the
'Leviathan'
I have to assume that's what it was.

This game just keeps on giving.

Rockstar is going to delay RDR2 because of what they'll see in this game, they'll need to adjust lol.

I especially love the horse riding, works very well, it feels like it's your real Partner and you can't use it as your next Boko Spear, you have to take care of it.

Anyway this OT is full of spoilers, I'm outta here.

Well, definitely not. People in this thread have even been spoiler tagging the word
dragon
. The beauty of this game is discovery.

Well, I apologize, but I didn't know it was a big reveal because I saw one at the start of the game in the newbie area and thought it was something everyone saw at the start of the game in the newbie area. I just spent an hour looking for this one and was relieved and giffed it. The idea that it'd be upsetting never crossed my mind.

I fought my first one at the bottom of the coliseum last night. I figured I could toss some bombs at it while I picked off the mob on the above ledges. I managed to hit him only one time before he shot an arrow upward in a perfect arc, so that on its way back down it landed on my head. I don't think I've ever seen something like that in any game before. I wonder if it's the AI actually calculating the arc of the arrow or if there are some shenanigans going on behind the scenes to make it appear this way. Whatever is happening, these guys are dangerous.

I tried to tackle him a second time and he chased me down and
roasted me with fire breath,
which made me a little incredulous to be honest.

Fair enough. And yeah, that one if a fucking pain in the ass to get. It's one thing that it seems to spawn a lot less than the others, but also it's at a terribly awkward place where you're either waaaaaaaay too low or above it but too far away to run/horse ride/jump off/glide/shoot.

I only got
two pieces, the legs and body part. Didn't even know there was a helmet lol I only enter and bought the first piece...notice for the whole searching for Yonobo (or close to that) part I was getting burn still. Flame level was 1, read sign that mention lv two stars...so went to buy the legs and that work. But still is almost 1,200 rupees in total for those two and I had spend all my money already on my house!!! Took a lot to gather those 3,000 first...it pain me having to sell my diamonds! Lucky I found and area with luminious rocks so I can get diamonds again easily now!

Wii U version needs another patch.

The framerate drops in villages is noticeable to even casual players and actually breaks the whole experience.

Is there anything particulary interesting in Lake Hylia apart from a shrine, some seeds and chests?

Not that I'm complaining, but maybe I'm missing something bigger. I'm for example still looking for the missing
Zora wife from a sidequest, but haven't found her despite sailing the entire lake...

He likes to travel around the world. He will give you differwnt hints in each town/ranch you meet him.
