I'm 10hrs in, just visited the
Tech Institute
place and got my Sheika slate upgraded.

At this point, should I be trying to knock off shrines and upgrade health and stamina before proceeding with main quest. I currently only have 4 hearts.

You should be doing whatever you enjoy most in the game. There is no path you should be doing.

Is there a way to take a registered horse and set it free again? Or should I take a couple horses for a long walk that they don't come back from?

If you want to get rid of a registered horse, just bring a new horse to register. It'll tell you to get rid of a horse and then you pick from there. The bad thing is, you won't see the new horse's stats until after you let go of a registered horse, but you can just not register the new one if you want after that.

Also, I saw in the last page a spoiler about the memories and that reminded me of mine and I had a question
Ive seen the memory of Link training under the tree where Zelda asks him if he would still be a knight if it wasn't expected of him. And the one where she's at the shrine trying to open it and she gets mad at Link for following her. So what the hell man, does she not like him? No romance between the two in the game? All I want to know before I devote myself to Paya

Oh my god I burned so many dishes rushing to get to the shrine in the Goron town. Where the eff can I get heat resistant gear?

In the mining camp on the way up to the city. A guy there wears it. Talk to him.

What!?
I spent 3300 on the full set of clothes in the armoury :p Didn't really need the 2000 rupee mask, but I want everything. Was it the same gear?

Yes, it is the same. But you will only get the chest piece. Not sure if it can be acquired other than buying it as of now. Someone else might know if it can be found.

Is there any better way to floor a Stalnox (or Hinox? haven't fought one yet) without
wasting a stack of arrows shooting it in the eye?

Or is the answer just 'get better weapons so you don't have to
make him drop to the ground as much
'?

I know this is suuuuper late but I beat one by (Stalnox)
fighting it close to dawn, knocking the eyeball out of the socket, punting it off the side of a mountain and then waiting. Instead of going underground when the sun comes up he pops if he doesn't have his eyeball when it is his bedtime.

Does anyone know a good spot for finding Electric Keese? I need some more wings and just can't find the things. I even tried getting a Wizrobe to summon some for me but he decided to be a dick and only shoot lightning at me.

I'm pretty sure I've gotten everywhere his game has asked me to go via routes they decidedly did not intend for me to go lol

Gerudo Main Quest locations and event spoilers:
I ended up in the Yiga boss arena before I found the real entrance thanks to my chronic "climb up somewhere high" compulsions. The boss didn't trigger, had to do banana quest.

That said, I finished the game! (on Wii U. now I can take it easy with the Switch verion) It was great, I think I'm gonna play this more.

About the amiibo: I'm looking at a list of drops and each have cool clothing/armor sets. But it's random what you get right? So you scan it every day til the unique item drops?

I have 4 from the older waves, but I'm tempted to buy the BotW ones. Ocarina Link too.

Oh wow, really nice touch from the developers, if the rain isn't hitting the side of the cliff you're climbing, you don't slip down. It actually has to get wet, just rain state doesn't immediately make you slip. Doesn't make a huge difference but if you can get under a covered part of a cliff you're clear to climb for a bit.

On the way to the Zora domain there is tiny canyon going off to the right from the main trail, and there are like 5 of them there.

The "horse" that has infinite sprint and has autopilot was one of the most mind blowing experiences I've had so far in this game. I just wish there was a way to register it.

There are some on the path to Zora domain. On the path after Luton's crossing I think.

Also I think you can use lightning or shock arrows to convert regular Keese to electric. Have not tried it myself. Just something I have read.

But the chest piece isn't enough right? And it's the cheapest anyway. Got really rich on the way up there, so it doesn't matter :p

Got it, thanks. I assumed the former, just didn't want to be perpetually on fire while looking for it. In my 15-ish hours I've only made a single dish that provided heat resistance.

A girl in the stable at the bottom of the mountain gives you 3 bottles that last 6+ minutes each. I had plenty of time on the way up, even took my time to beat the two guardians and the lava golem

For awhile, I was shooting three arrows instead of one on all my bows. No idea what caused it and it's gone now. Any clues?

What is in the very
snowy cold
area? I realized just now that it's totally just a huge side area that you never have to visit.

People saying this isn't a "real" Zelda game didn't get anywhere near a dungeon, right?

This game man. This fucking game.

Also performance drops at
Zora's domain
my ass, it didn't drop one frame in that area.
A) The dungeons in this game aren't really like old Zelda.
B) You must not notice framerate at all because the entire town drops to 20FPS and it's the worst performing town out of any village in the game by far because the lower framerate is sutained. If I had a framerate analysis tool I'd run it for you but it's pretty obvious that it's running at 20 frames there unless you don't notice these things at all.

I haven't been this addicted to a game in a long time. I just want to bail on work and keep playing... and I haven't even tackled a dungeon yet!

I don't know why anyone would say that because this is clearly a zelda game, but you shouldn't use the dungeons to defend it, because they're bad compared to other zelda dungeons.
They're very simple and short, which is a shame, they're the low point of the game for me.

Welp.

I havent played the game yet, only watched videos. And one thing that absulutely cant stand, is the positioning of the stamina wheel. As soon as it appears i cant fovus on anything else. Does anybody has the same problem and did it change when playing?

I'm kind of overwhelmed at the moment. Should I follow the main quest up to a certain point? I'm only up to Kakariko, just met
Impa
(really early stuff). Or should I just keep going up to mountaintops and scan the environment for points of interest?

If i feel wanderlust: i pick a direction and turn the HUD off.

If i feel impatience/pressure/confusion: i pick a quest and don't stop til i complete it.

Has worked perfectly so far.

It's jarring at first because they could've put it on a corner of the screen or below the hearts or something... But you get used to it quickly enough

Completed all of death mountain only using 5 heat resistant potions and the free chest piece you get on the way up. Completed every shrine and killed the boss on the last second of my last potion!

*phew!*

What's in Both?
One of them has a miniboss and connects to another rather empty area and forest (location on map
Top right corner, above Hateno village
). The other (location:
above the desert
), well nothing there except a few shrines. It's more of an empty buffer area between two prime locations. I am actually going about in the 2nd one and so far I haven't seen anything except empty land.

Just an FYI for everyone - make sure that when you get to a boss that you take a picture of it using your Sheikah Slate camera Rune or else you won't be able to get 100% of the enemy Bestiary compendium ;)

I never had the problem to begin with, but it really isn't a big deal when you're playing. It's not like it's constantly on the screen when you're playing, usually only appears for a long period of time when you're climbing -- and in that instance, it's crucial to keep track of it. A non-issue, as far as I'm concerned. :)
