i just passed this. it pissed me off so much i looked up online other ways around it. You have to magnetize a box/slab and just destroy the shit out of the sentries lol

Yeah I found that out after much trial and error. Before that though, ugh. And I still don't know where I'm supposed to blasting this dude out of the cannon at.

Guys, I need help! Today I played this game for around 14 hours straight in just one sitting. This game is clearly messing with me - I think the last time such a thing happened was when RE 4 got released. It's probably the best game I've played in more than 10 years.

Go cook some food, dude.

Come to think of it, I'm having difficulty recalling enemy varieties. Bokoblins, Moblin, Lizalfos, each with three colors (and elements at times), Wizrobes, Lynels, 4 types of guardians, Kneese variants, 3 skeletons + Stalnox, three types of Hinox's, among other mini bosses, what else?

Edit: All I can think of in particular is Bokoblins, Lizalfos, and Moblin. So many of those..

Octoroks, Mini Steep Palus, Chu-Chu.

There's also wolves, those things that hide in the ground (octo-whatever), and those jelly monsters.

Got some more shrines done and about to tackle my first dungeon tomorrow since I've been getting distracting doing seed puzzles, shrines and just generally exploring.

Still loving this game a whole lot! It's might bump off Yakuza 0 for my current, most-likely GOTY, but I still have a whole lot more to play of BotW and other games too.

Yeah game is consistently flooring me - really special title

Just did the
labyrinth
off the north eastern coast

Lol dropped down into the basement,
grabbed the guardian defense crown, and flew out of there as they all activated

Wait what?
there's more than just the shrine with the Beserk Armor in each labyrinth? I was going through buy all that ancient gear from the tech lab.

Did some really cool Shrines tonight, some of them feel like the old main dungeon concepts just boiled down to a couple puzzles. I'm digging it, feels like bite sized gaming like Portal or Talos Principle and then the Divine are for biting off something bigger. Those are taking me around 1-2 hours so far.

Anyone else irritated how the Gurodo champ has like least MENA/Persia accent possible. Its so american, though her voice has been the most tolerable. Savaaqs and the rolling Rs are awesome. I wanted a sick Persion/Arab voice but Nah.

There is jewelry you can buy and find that give you different buffs. That one is just a guardian one.

ooh right that's the jewelry you can buy with diamonds right? I actually just found my first two diamonds, but what is he taking about talking the guardian crown from the basement of the labyrinth? Never saw that area and I've done all the labyrinths and shrines for the Beserk gear. I bought all that jewelry except that one cause I didn't have diamonds. Was kinda wasteful in the end getting resistance pieces from the other tribes.

Guess I need to explore a little more (:

Lmao i cant get over the dumb
yigas
and their love for bananas. Idiots.

When leaving the town you should see something that points you in the right direction.

explicit
follow statues you see, will lead to a shrine and make it storm disappear.

that's how i did it at least

Ah thanks! The guard pointed me to the right direction and there was no storm at all. Lol.

Zora > Rito > Gorons > Koroks > Gerudo

Gerudo seem standoffish and even mean in every game they'v been in lol. Also produced the original Ganon. GJ desert people.

Koroks got
cheated out of a dungeon and champion
in this game.

Oh my gosh I went to do the
giant horse rumor quest
and it was actually there to my surprise. Even more surprising is I was able
to stable it
. I guess there are unique ones out there as I can't change
his Saddle and main
.

MAN he is huge.

after beating the labyrinth at the top right, right in front of the shrine a hole should have opened up. if you fall down there is a room absolutely filled with unactivated guardians and treasure chest.

nah you crazy. Gerudos may have been my favs.

This game is harsh. Been trying to climb Akkala Tower for over an hour because it's so swarmed with the purple shit, and after finally killing all the guards in the area the Blood Moon cutscenes plays...and then it turns cold so I start losing health immediately. Christ.

Just finished the first dungeon in
Zora's domain.

Pretty underwhelming. Really, really short. Boss was cool but easy. Love at the end
Mipha just talks at Link and he stands there silently like an asshole the entire time. The whole Zora princess in love with a Hylian is cool but of course neither Mipha nor Link will say anything about it to each other in-game. Maybe I'm expecting too much.

Hopefully the others are better or at least longer.

Why would they have a MENA/Persia accent?

It took forever but i finally found the
eighth heroine statue
which shouldn't have been too hard but I'm terrible with finding shit in this game. Still, I'm glad I didn't just look it up, because the feeling I got after finding it+the sound and title card was so incredibly satisfying. This game is great.

Close enough.

Purah
from
Hateno
Village is pretty cute.
Paya
is still best character though. I'm about to face the
Divine Beast Vah Ruta

How big is the map compared to other open worlds (like Witcher 3)?

As a single landmass, Hyrule in BotW is bigger than Velen/Novigrad. If you were to combine Velen/Novigrad/White Orchard/Skellige/Kaer Morhen/Touissant into a single landmass, I'd say Witcher 3 is comfortably larger (I don't care what some arbitrary kilometer comparisons say).

But what you need to remember is that traversal and gameplay of the two is significantly different, so a direct comparison isn't hugely meaningful. As one seamless world with overwhelming verticality and varied landscapes, BotW is the world that feels more suited to an epic adventure. Witcher 3 will always be my favourite go for a leisurely walk through a central european forest simulator however.
