So given a complete lack of PS4, is there a distinct must-buy between ps4 pro and slim?

Pretty sure they had the same account on both PS4's in the house and just brought it back and forth, but that's been almost a month now. I could be misremembering, too.I stand corrected.
I thought one of the beta users tried taking his external round to a friend's house and trying it on his system and it wouldn't work? Must be misremembering.
And slimmer!Slim is weaker.
Do you have a PS4 Pro? It might seem silly to ask but a few posters already showed they had no idea what boost mode actually is. It's under System category, in Settings area if you're on a Pro.Yeah I looked and I didn't see the option. Maybe I missed it. I'll try again later.
I just played a couple CQ64 matches and it really feels like 60 fps now.Hows bf4?I tried it last week and CQ was demanding. Also the AA man.
After all the numerous complaints about the notifications area throughout the beta, they went through with the updates for that anyways.. Man...
SSD upgrade is very noticeable!
Even though it's a 250GB. I can just move games I'm playing off my external.
HZD loads noticeably faster. AC:Unity is stupidly fast at loading. The PS4 dashboard is very snappy no hang ups.
Worthy upgrade. Especially because you don't need to buy a 2TB SSD to store all your games.
Do games on an external perform just as well as games on an internal hdd?
Man, they ruined the Notifications section.
Still waiting for that PSN name change option

I actually grew to like the new notification area. I suspect they minimilized it because they plan to stick it in the quick menu soon
Format it to exFat on your PCPreetty sure my HDD fills the requirements to be used as external store but my ps4 keeps telling me the filesystem is not supported.
Can I somehow format it on my PC to make it work?
Man, they ruined the Notifications section.
The transfer speed to take a game or two from the internal drive to the extended storage how long does that process take? If I had 60gb to move to extended storage.
Took me 4 minutes to transfer a 30GB game from internal to SSD external. Depends on the drive.
can i get details while i'm stuck at work?
They basically condensed the entire thing into one long list, sorted by most recent. You know in the notifications section there was one area that stored all of your notifications, none of which could be deleted? It's basically just that now, with a history of all your notifications going back to the first one you ever got (or in my case, when I upgraded the HDD two years ago). And of course, there's no way to delete notifications!

Did anyone ever compare the internal vs external SSD speeds with the beta?
Thinking of getting a 250GB Samsung T3 as a currently playing drive
So you have to READ all notifications to get rid of the number/notification?

Thank you but after digging a little bit online I changed cables and turned the ps4 on with the HDD already connected and it did the trick.
Sending everything I've finished already to external. Leaving the stuff I'm still going to play on the ps4.
Slim is weaker.
PS4 Pro is the stronger one and has the boost mode everyone is talking about, Slim is the old PS4 model made slimmer.
Also the Pro has an optical audio out port, the Slim does not - this is required for most wireless gaming headsets in the market.
Anecdotally the difference between an internal and external SSD is negligible.Did anyone ever compare the internal vs external SSD speeds with the beta?

Yeah, the PS4 Pro of you have the money. It gives you the better playing games and a little future proofing if you plan on buying a 4k tv the next few years. So given a complete lack of PS4, is there a distinct must-buy between ps4 pro and slim?
Well, yeah, I was aware of the power increases. But is the PS4 Pro now the to-go PS4 to buy, or is there still a reason to buy the PS4 Slim? I think there was talk about the PS4 Pro maybe not living up to the promised performance increase and it might not be worth the extra money.
Dark Souls 2 is silky smooth, and traveling between bonfires is noticeably quicker. Loving Boost Mode already.
