I don't think torches ever "burn out" while carrying a flame while wooden swords do. But the game usually gives you a torch when you need one.

You guys recommend buying the official guide? I'm having a ton of fun without one and it's cool finding things on my own, but damn I feel like I'm missing so much by not using one.

What, Hudson
is now building his own little village and needs my help? Well, time to ignore the main quest once again.

I really can't believe how much I love this game.

Yo. Can we talk about how fucking cool it is that you can buy a fucking
HOUSE

I dropped everything I was doing to grind rupees and pimp it out until it could be pimped no more! In a Zelda game!?!?!?!

Putting Guardian weapons and the fire sword on the walls looks amazing.

Exactly what I put on mine!
Great Flameblade and Guardian War Axe.

Goddamnnn this thread is moving so fast already surpassed Horizon in replies and we're almost at OT2! What is going to be the subtitle of OT2??

|OT2| Iwata's Blessing

One of my favourite side quests in the game, enjoy!

He asked me to find a Goron with "son"---I already found the Zora and Rito on my travels, but haven't been through much of Goron City. Don't tell me where he is, but do I need to beat the Lizard Dungeon first before he'll join?

Just yes or no answers, please. But I found some area called.
Hyrule Forrest
, but haven't explored it yet. It looks very
Lost Woods-y
.

Can anyone confirm or deny that this is the
home to the master sword?

Haven't needed a torch since the plateau for the snowy area. There is always an alternative way to do the things a torch does.

And wow, they
drop the tough Yiga Clan warriors
on you in the overworld? They destroy me.

No, you do not need to do what you said. You should find who you are looking for on the path (mild location spoilers)
up to Goron City

By the way, just yesterday I finally said goodbye to the Great Plateau and oh my gosh, I just spend other 3 hours just walking around and exploring it's just too damn fun. Also I just saw
a bloodmoon for the first time and holy shit...
that was absolutely creepy you guys. This game is fucking amazing.

FINALLY get to play this game tomorrow.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

I was also so disappointed to find you lose all the items
you find on Eventide Island after you get back your gear. I spent a lot of time rebuilding my inventory there and it's all gone the minute I got my normal inventory back...

actually, they're all restored in chests and the like once the guest's finished! Good thing too since I needed the Traveler's Sword for a Hateno quest

Got the classic sword using the 8-bit Amiibo. I'm guessing this breaks? Does say durability up, but guess it will break. Sad, the exclusive weapons shouldn't break.

Are you able to cook before leaving the plateau? I was checking in at fires to see if it ever have me the option but I never saw it if it was a prompt that pops up.

Lot of apples were chugged getting to that last shrine.

It needs to be at a pot. You then need to go into the menu and hold the items you want to cook.

Hold the items you want to cook and then try to interact with the pots.

I get a big smile everytime I hear accordion bro's tune out in the wild.

Same here! I love his accompanimemt of the stable theme.

Also: I once saw Kass during a really bad thunderstorm on a rock in the middle of a field once, still playing.

Bro is dedicated AF.

Anyone want to guess what that story DLC will be about? Maybe another divine beast? Play as Link from 100 years ago with the companions? Will laugh if its just more shrines.

Holy Shit! That feeling when you finally find a way to climb the Akkala tower - and I'm not even sure if that's the way you're supposed to do it!

to properly "cook" (a dish) and not just "roast" (indivdual items) you need a cooking bowl with a fire lit underneath.
afterwards, you pick your ingredients by pressing X in the inventory screen, choosing to carry up to 5 ingredients in your hands, which you can then drop into the bowl after leaving the inventory screen.

That's an area where the game didn't have to be as obscure. It should just be a prompt when you walk up to a pot . Hit it and it auto opens the food menu.

I'm trying to do the
Ceremony in the waterfall
sidequest in Zora's Domain.

I already have the Ceremonial Trident, and I've talked to the kids and I know the song. I go to the waterfall and I see the altar (which I guess will become a shrine), but I don't see how I can apply the song to this. Do I need any special stuff to do this or should I be able to do it already?

Thanks!

You got everything you need

Beat the game after 60 hours, 67 shrines. Greatest game I played by far, I never really cared for 3d Zeldas (btw I do beat LttP yearly) or open world type games but damn this game just works. I love the verticality, reminded me of XCX.

The only small gripe I had with the game is the motioncontrol shrines.

Does anyone know why there are almost 200 monster entries in the compendium but you mostly come across only a few different types across the world? Even factoring in the variants of each monster, there just seems to be a huge number I'm not seeing.

Where can i get even warmr clothes than the ones you need to survive at the beginning of the game?

I got the the snow mountain and lose health with the Warm Doublet

There are multiple snow mountains. There are better clothes for resisting the cold in the Northeast area of the map. In the
Rito Village
.

You can also always cook food that gives cold resistance.
