The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

I'd rather a sequel on this engine in 2 or 3 years that fixes a lot of the problems that Breath of the Wild has instead of more DLC after the two announced packs.

They really, really need to do this.
Keep the same engine, same artstyle and they could even re-use some of the same assets.
Majora's maks style, spend 2-3 years max and just focus on the little things that were missing or wrong with breath of the wild, i.e more dungeons, a few diverse settings for inside shrines, and remove voice acting.

I wasn't getting voices in the cutscenes at first because my Wii U was configured to Surround, whereas I did not have that kind of setup. Switched it to Stereo and then it was fine. Maybe that's your problem?

Ok. But I do have surround sound though, I use it on my PS4.

Finally got the
Master sword...I tried firsr, not enough heart, uograde thrm with the 8 orbs I had...STILL not enough. Went hunting for shrines and got another heart...then as last quarter heart waa about to vanish the sword came out. Is been years since a game made me scream yes outloud with all my heart and made me feel so proud to achieve!!!

Just did a neat puzzle with orbs on the overworld with huge statues in the desert. Although, I'm kind of getting sick of the "blessing" shrines, I want my shrine puzzles god dammit!

So today I sold things like Ruby, Sapphire and so on but those are not only for sales purposes. Are there any junk items at all that you can always sell and are not meant for upgrading, enchanting or anything else important? Or is it basically a matter of checking how much you have of a certain item, say 50 and you just sell 25 of em?

Don't you mean "get better voice acting"?

I mean come on. If games like Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem can have voice acting, then there's no reason Zelda can't. They just need to, you know, get better VAs, have better voice direction, etc.

Did my stealth mission into the castle to the
Hylian Shield
. Glad I did. It's powerful and I've already parry spammed a half dozen or so Guardians for parts.

I want to know this as well.

That game had incredible voice acting, absolutely mind blowing just how good it was.

They could get better voice acting for zelda but given that this was the big moment and they messed it up so badly i have very little faith.
It was so bad in breath of the wild that i'd rather they just didn't have it at all.
easily the worst aspect of the game.

Bit of a late reply but the game expects you to do Shrines along the way to get hearts. If you have enough hearts then you wont get OHK by any boss. Since the dungeons are not ordered and can be done whenever you want, then the first one is always gonna be the hardest one.

Yeah it's becoming clear I will need to approach this game differently than previous Zeldas. I think I will leave the four guardians be for now, and focus on temples, gear and towers.

I like finding new meals, though the recipes I find on the walls of stables seem not to work. LIke one that looks like apple pie but I just get glazed apples.

After playing for more than 30 hours of just wandering around and exploring Hyrule... I'm starting to truly miss the overall music that past Zelda games used to excel superbly. Nature sounds and minimalistic piano pieces are great but I miss those epic and catchy themes while exploring. Does this game even has catchy tunes a la Gerudo Valley or Dragon Roost Island in Wind Waker?? :(

I haven't found a consistent way to get them, much less Giant Ancient Cores.
I think Ancient Arrows one shot Guardians though.

Yeah I use the spread shot bows to one shot fliers and walkers and just parry reflect to one shot the broken ones, Ive only gotten cores from the walkers and fliers so far

It has some nice stuff in some of the towns and stuff. But for the most part the game is very ambient. I'm 100 hours in and I can say I'm kinda glad it is or I'd have gone nuts with how much I'm shifting through and combing the zones.

Big spoiler
Hyrule Castles dynamic changing theme is the best in the series imo

Some of the riddles to summon shrines are either poorly worded or extremely tedious.

Having to wait around and let time pass is a terrible idea in a game where you can only camp until morning, noon and night.

First flaw of the game: Miiro Tsuhi shrine. FUCK THIS STUPID ASS PHYSICS SHRINE.
How do I solve it?
I have to throw a ball in the hole with my hammer. The first part is easy but the second one is impossible. I lost an hour in this shrine, and youtube videos are just people being lucky. Is this puzzle that stupid?

Where are some good places to farm basic arrows?

I was trying to farm arrows at the start, but that's really slow. It's easier to farm some gourmet meat for the guy in the Outskirt outpost or luminous stone for the Zora guy and get money to buy them. Also, using some of the Zelda amiibos gives you a few rupees, I forget which ones.

Here's my mining method. Once you get the tracking upgrade for your Sheikah Slate from the Hateno Lab, take a picture of a mining deposit. Now you can track deposits with the Sheikah Slate, like you would shrines. Now run along some mountains and get some ore.

Been trying to spawn a blood moon for 40 minutes using safe scum with no luck.
Can't believe a shrine requires me to stand in a certain spot nekkid during a blood moon.

Any tips?

I think I did it with 3 or 4 hammer swings then 3 or 4 spear hits dont remember exactly hammer only is too strong

The left one specifically.

Finished the story with 15/15 main quests cleared. Basically lived and breathed this game for the past week and still have so many areas left to explore, nooks and crannies to poke around in and side and shrine quests to complete. Hell I decided to climb Mt. Lanayru for fun before storming the castle and I was left marveling at just how many secrets are left to uncover.

Enchanting and engrossing, a masterpiece of the medium.

Talk to the NPC at Dueling Peaks Stable who is obsessed with the Blood Moon. He'll tell you if one will appear that night. Just rest by the fire at the stable until that happens.

I actually like that the audio focus is on your environment when you're out in the wild. It's the sounds of nature, hooves hitting the ground, birds flying away. I don't think a Hyrule Field, or The Great Sea -like theme would work, even if they had several that could occur.

And outside of that, at least considering the villages I've visited, I think this game has some of the best village themes in the series. There's some really charming music there.
