The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

There are a couple shrines I can't seem to get.

One near
North Hebra Summit
that I can't find.

One by
Lake Kilsie
that I see but don't know how to get.

Anyone figure those out?

So I'm in the Gerudo Highlands and I found these two Bobokins dancing around a metal box on a cliff. I can't seem to find out where the box goes? Or if it does anything?

It goes up much higher than where they've moved it (towards the mountain the outcropping is attached to.

I found both chests in the Kaoma shrine (metal doors one in
Faron near the ranch
). But still it's incomplete. I got the chest down with an explosion arrow instead of the magnet. Maybe is a bug?

There are 3 chests in that shrine. Run around more with Magnesis.

I feel like I'm playing Monster Hunter right now. Hunting Silver Lynels for their rarest drop >.<

I already had trouble with the blue/white lynel.

It's weird a Hinox gets that damage bar thing a la dark souls, but everyone knows Lynels are the true bosses.

Well this is frustrating. The first time I've really been interested in amiibo and I can't find them anywhere. Any chance the Ocarina of Time or Twilight Link will get reissued soon? Are amiibo reissues something that even happens?

It's amazing how pretty much any four legged creature that can hold Links weight can be mounted. I'm going through a snowy area riding on a bear. This is amazing.

Why did they decide to go with scrolling menus rather than weapon wheels in this game?

Wheels are used almost universally in video games to provide maximal single-action access to a large inventory of items. Scrolling left and right through my weapon inventory feels so comparably inefficient that I often find myself just opening the full menu.

I'm really loving the game but I feel so lost. It feels weird to have the end game quest given to you so early in the game. It's like I know I need to beat Gannon but I also know I'm way too weak. I assume doing the shrines beforehand is beneficial, but I don't know where to go to use my spirit orbs. My weapons and gear are crap, but how do I upgrade them. Do I buy the armor/clothes from the vendors and then upgrade? Is that the correct path? As for weapons Im assuming they are just drops from the enemies, I assume they can't be repaired? It's almost like I don't even want to use good weapons fearing they will break. I also don't want to sell the precious stones thinking I'll need them for something else. I almost feel like I should use the guide I bought but I like to figure things out on my own but it's getting to me.

I find myself mainly foraging for food but I feel like I'm not really accomplishing anything. I'm hoarding so much food, I should sell/cook some 😆. I think this feeling of lack of accomplishment is what's throwing me for a loop.

yeah, next thing on the list is going Lynel hunting... i already sighted one in the
Gerudo mountains
next to an other objective for another mission.

I've stumbled across 3 of those guys in my travels (all I've been doing in the game so far is exploring the world, doing the towers, and shrines) and they always freak me out when I climb over a wall and BOOM there they are!

I imagine it's a holdover from the Wii U development. Imagine how great touch screen inventory management would have been for weapon selection and cooking.

Just arrived at the second dungeon - I am curious how long it will take me to beat it. And I have to say: the main quest in terms of story obviously is kind of sparse, but it's beeing told quite beautifully! I really love all those cutscenes, some of them even pretty tragic and dynamic!

Somebody here warned us not to buy the
Ancient Helm
in Akkala because an alternative could be found in a shrine for free.

Does anybody have any information on that? I'm trying to decide if I want the set at all. I mean, I've made it this far without it...

Man at 82 shrines they are getting hard to come by only 2 'nearby' that I haven't been able to find and I think I've covered every inch of map but the Hyrule Castle area. I still have 4-5 shrine quests, must be missing more of those.

Beat the Gerudo Dungeon. That was awesome. Fantastic dungeon, awesome boss fight. I think what trips me up is just how huge these beasts are and how much access you have. Its a lot to take in at once. After you survey the area for a couple of minutes and understand how things work, it becomes easier to figure out the puzzles.

I basically brute forced the boss.
No parry, no magnesis, none of that. My Master Sword was hungry and I bashed the dude until he lost his senses. Oh you got a fancy shield? Fuck you!

I just love how each Master Sword hit is thunderous. It lights up and just punishes and punishes.

It was so fucking satisfying.

There's a few tricks to Lyonels that makes them easy. Not as easy as Hinox or Talus, but around the same level as Guardians.

If you use that you dont get the 2 star set bonus, I testred it

Can confirm. There's a helmet with the same Guardian Resist stat in the middle of a graveyard of Guardians under one of the shrines of the Akkala region.

Also... FUCK BLUE FLAME QUESTS. They set this shit up to be as frustrating as possible with constant rain in the Blue Flame regions and other shit to make the flame accidentally go out 90% of the way back.
Made worse by the quest finder of this one charging me 20 rupees every attempt.

Yeah, I was also surprised by the Gerudo Dungeon. Easily the best one. The other ones are shorter and simpler.

I've also done the Zora one and I liked that one as well. It was much shorter though I was sooooooooo stumped. I wish I didnt resort to using a guide for that. It was a lot of fun however.

Bit disappointed that Ganon is so easy, especially as the game presented such a challenge to begin with, but I think once I got past the thirteen heart mark nothing was really difficult, a shame really (although I love it really).

Still, amazing game overall.

What IS it? I'm having a really hard time finding documentation on what and where it actually is.

But you're saying it doesn't give the set bonus with the other parts?

Diamond Circlet, same armor value and ability, but doesnt work for the set bonus.

Do the shrine in that big ass maze near there and you should come across it shortly after ;)

Something happened that almost every weapon, bow and shield drop/treasure I obtain as of late has some upgrades in them. I've been getting this attack up, durability up, etc on my new weapons. Pretty cool, but curious as to what happened.

Just recovered a memory.

Uhh, is there a certain order I should go about doing this? I don't wanna see these too out of context.

Did you beat Ganon recently?

There aren't many enemy types?

I was being a bit hyperbolic, but, yeah, in my opinion the variety is poor. It felt like I was facing the same few types of dudes who were all essentially same throughout the entire game.

I like the game but it's not infallible or immune to criticism

I killed a
black hinox
and it looked like he had some kind of key round his neck I could have grabbed, but it dissappeared when he died. It is something unique and worth reloading for?

nah they all seem to do their own thing so far though obvs some show different points of zelders and links relationship they all work on their own

Beat my first dungeon!

Zora Domain's one. It's different from past Zelda games but it was really fun. I like how the game didn't give any hints as to how to solve it and let you figure it out on your own
.
