Regarding the final boss,
what am I supposed to do with Dark Beast Ganon? It said something about a holy bow but I couldn't see the bow anywhere in my inventory and I was just equipped with a normal one plus standard arrows.

You go pick up the light bow and then equip it as your bow. Then you shoot the light arrows at the light spots that show up around Gannon. the last light spot is going to be underneath him. This is very similar to way that you have beaten Gannon in many other Zelda games.

Use the tools available to you.
Drop flint and wood in a shaded area and start a fire. It's very rare that you will be unable to find a location to do this when it rains.

Or just find an alternate path. I've been able to do this numerous times.

But it happens when I'm like in the middle of a steep mountain climb, standing at a miniscule small space where Link doesn't fall down, haha. Can't make a fire, or even walk anywhere during that time.

?? Hasn't been my experience. I've gotten a ton of use out of stamina and speed elixirs and meals that give me extra hearts.
Cooking is extremely important in my experience.

The Rain Mechanic is really starting to frustrate me in this game. So many times I have had to stop climbing a mountain, and basically let the game run idle for 10 minutes just because the game doesn't want me to climb any more.
There's usually ways up mountains that don't require a ton of climbing. I think the rain mechanic is the game's way of telling you "don't rely on climbing so much".

I thought the exact same thing until I found something that makes you not slip away anymore. Or well it sure seems like it.

This has happened to me a couple of times, but I just glide to the bottom, start a fire, and try again. Or find another path.

Alternately,
complete the Divine Beast quest near Rito Village

I mean, that's objectively false.

My menu is almost always at the first or second page of my armor tab. It's a lot fast to just scroll two-three times in order to reach the first page of the materials tab where the apples are than it is to scroll through all of my material pages to get to where the cooked goods are. Not to mention the time spent cooking.

MY GOD! I'm in Gerudo Desert and I was on a cliff and I saw some kind of huge thing just walking in the distance! The thing looks so big and like a dinosaur.

Oh and you can do the Divine Beasts in any order right? I'm curious about the Gerudo in this game so that's why I'm going here first. Lol

I do agree that the menus can get really crazy to navigate once you have a decent amount of stuff but cooking has way too many benefits to ignore. I also just enjoy coming up with recipes as well.

There are a couple shrines I can't seem to get.

One near
North Hebra Summit
that I can't find.

One by
Lake Kilsie
that I see but don't know how to get.

Anyone figure those out?

Quoting for a new page.

yeah, next thing on the list is going Lynel hunting... i already sighted one in the
Gerudo mountains
next to an other objective for another mission.

I've been marking locations of all tough enemies/bosses/guardians on my map, including any Lynels I find.

There are 2 white ones
Near Sha Gehma Shrine, in the North Tabantha Snowfield. One of them you'll see right outside the shrine, and you'll see the other if you head towards the labyrinth.

There's a normal one
by Purifier Lake. There's also a Hinox there.

There's one
on a plateau between Riola Spring and Keelay Plain. This one has a different weapon than the other ones though. Threw off my dodge timing.

There's also the one by
Zora's Domain on Ploymus Mountain.

I haven't seen the one you're talking about though. Do you mean the
Gerudo Highlands?
Where in that area is it?

You can cook a dozen meals in three minutes. I've probably spent a combined total of 15-20 minutes cooking in 55+ hours of play. Heck, just cook five apples if you're feeling lazy.

You can fly through the menu tabs by holding down the analog stick.

That being said, play the game how you want. Just know that cooking is not worthless.

Uhh. Why is anyone having problems with the rain? The UI even tells you that is going to rain in the next few hours, if you are getting caught by it by surprise its your own fault. Just make a fire before the rain starts and rest till the next day.

probably that, I have the Italian version so the name is different.. it is right on the side
of the enormous stone sword on the peak

if I remember correctly is a white one

It's the big glowy bow that was dropped right in front of you as the fight started.

Something happened that almost every weapon, bow and shield drop/treasure I obtain as of late has some upgrades in them. I've been getting this attack up, durability up, etc on my new weapons. Pretty cool, but curious as to what happened.

Me too, I wonder what that's all about.

That's three minutes I could spend doing fun stuff though.

Cooking in this game is like cooking meat in Monster Hunter. I don't have time for that shit so I get by without it.

I still find it hard to believe that I couldn't have scarfed down 20 apples by the time I reach the cooked food page. you don't need to wait for the eating animation to finish so you can mash the hell out of the A button.

It can rain without the forecast mentioning it.

If anything cooking is almost too good.

One hearty radish gives you full HP and temporary hearts.

A few ironshell crabs gives you HP and a decent defense buff.
Yup. I can't imagine how annoying some things would be w/o cooking. Not to mention I enjoy the charming cooking anim.

there are meals you can cook in 10 seconds that give you maxed out red hearts + 5 temporary hearts.

when you have 15 heart containers, it's worth it.
also when you have 5 heart containers it's worth it.
no amount of apples or raw meat is going to give you temp hearts, stamina boosts, or attack and defense boosts.

Yeah I'm not getting this "cooking is worthless" stuff. I literally had to leave Death Mountain and come back because I didn't have enough meals to make it through.

You missed at least one;
Saas Ko'sah Shrine in Hyrule Castle.

Oh yeah I knew about that one but I forgot to list it, thanks. I went through the official guide and looked shrines that had
Guardian IV's
listed in them. I don't think the guide gives a list of all the
Test of Strength
shrines unfortunately.

If anyone knows of any others then please post to let us know.

Anyhow six per blood moon is a lot of high powered weapons to get.

Is it by a specifically named area?

Edit: I found it. It's by
Laparoh Mesa.

Edit 2: I was wrong. The one above is a different one. I just found the one you're talking about. It's on the
Gerudo Summit.

There's usually ways up mountains that don't require a ton of climbing. I think the rain mechanic is the game's way of telling you "don't rely on climbing so much".

But I like to climb! It's the one mechanic that really sets this game apart so far from the other open world games, being able to traverse virtually anywhere. And lot of the areas are definitely designed with that idea in mind, so having a weather mode that basically gimps you is just... bleh.

Hope I'm not fucked, but...

I'm trying to find Teba on the mountain. I found the house he's supposed to be in...he's not there. I watched a walkthrough, and he's just supposed to be sitting there and it triggers a cutscene, but I just have an empty building. Tell me there's some way to get him to show up.

If I need temp hearts then I'll just let the monster kill me so
Mipha's Grace
kicks in. I don't need the other buffs because armor skills negate the need for them.

My eyes are twitching more than nervously right now. I can't even.

If you need more than the two rations provided to you in the low rank quests then you're doing something very wrong. By the time you actually need steaks you'll have most likely unlocked a much faster way of getting them than sitting there and grilling them one after the other.

Took this picture of Link looking at a double rainbow yesterday, got excited as I only saw it out of the corner of my eyes reminds me of the time when I saw one in real life...just without the wall climbing bit.

As for the subject of cooking vs eating raw food, eating raw food is fine at the start of the game or when you want to top up a small amount of health but cooking is the way to go in the long run.

However cooking is such a chore to do in the game as you have to first gather food, find a cooking pot and then guess a cooking recipe just for one healing items.

Just before they shoot the laser you can hear a loud beep, react to that sound.

Is there any other cue other than the beep sound? As I am deaf and I can't hear them make that noise as all my focus is on reading the guardian.

What i do is make a fire under a tree or something skip a day boom rain gone.
