Wat. Are we playing the same game here? Eating apples and raw meat is not going to be good enough forever.
Well actually I beat all bosses chuggin all the raw items that had accumulated in my inventory.

You'd rather eat 20 apples over one meal?
Not sure if posted
His shieldboarding face is hilarious, avatar material
Maybe that is it. I am only doing shrines so it's probably the effect.
If you can learn how to perfect Dodge its attacks and have a good stock of weapons, you can beat a lynel.
Regarding the final boss, what am I supposed to do with Dark Beast Ganon? It said something about a holy bow but I couldn't see the bow anywhere in my inventory and I was just equipped with a normal one plus standard arrows.
It's certainly a lot quicker.
Use the tools available to you.Drop flint and wood in a shaded area and start a fire. It's very rare that you will be unable to find a location to do this when it rains.
Or just find an alternate path. I've been able to do this numerous times.
Cooking is extremely important in my experience.?? Hasn't been my experience. I've gotten a ton of use out of stamina and speed elixirs and meals that give me extra hearts.
There's usually ways up mountains that don't require a ton of climbing. I think the rain mechanic is the game's way of telling you "don't rely on climbing so much".The Rain Mechanic is really starting to frustrate me in this game. So many times I have had to stop climbing a mountain, and basically let the game run idle for 10 minutes just because the game doesn't want me to climb any more.

Parry against that laser? Holy crap. I don't have ancient arrows yet.
Wasteland Tower is so cheap.... lol how am I supposed to climb a tower with quicksand all around it?!
Parry against that laser? Holy crap. I don't have ancient arrows yet.
you'll want to hit the parry button once you hear the "beep" sound right before the guarddian fires. Practice with the broken down ones or the "minor test of strength" shrine guardians once their health is low.Parry against that laser? Holy crap. I don't have ancient arrows yet.
But it happens when I'm like in the middle of a steep mountain climb, standing at a miniscule small space where Link doesn't fall down, haha. Can't make a fire, or even walk anywhere during that time.
Ok there are exactly fiveShrines.Major Test of Strength
They are:
Kema Kosassa in Tabantha
Tena Ko'sah in Tabantha
Hia Miu in Hebra
Mozo Shenno in Hebra
Tutsuwa in Akkala
I mean, that's objectively false.
My menu is almost always at the first or second page of my armor tab. It's a lot fast to just scroll two-three times in order to reach the first page of the materials tab where the apples are than it is to scroll through all of my material pages to get to where the cooked goods are. Not to mention the time spent cooking.
Cooking is extremely important in my experience.
There are a couple shrines I can't seem to get.
One nearthat I can't find.North Hebra Summit
One bythat I see but don't know how to get.Lake Kilsie
Anyone figure those out?
yeah, next thing on the list is going Lynel hunting... i already sighted one in thenext to an other objective for another mission.Gerudo mountains

MY GOD! I'm in Gerudo Desert and I was on a cliff and I saw some kind of huge thing just walking in the distance! The thing looks so big and like a dinosaur.
Oh and you can do the Divine Beasts in any order right? I'm curious about the Gerudo in this game so that's why I'm going here first. Lol
probably that, I have the Italian version so the name is different.. it is right on the sideQuoting for a new page.
I've been marking locations of all tough enemies/bosses/guardians on my map, including any Lynels I find.
There are 2 white onesNear Sha Gehma Shrine, in the North Tabantha Snowfield. One of them you'll see right outside the shrine, and you'll see the other if you head towards the labyrinth.
There's a normal oneby Purifier Lake. There's also a Hinox there.
There's oneon a plateau between Riola Spring and Keelay Plain. This one has a different weapon than the other ones though. Threw off my dodge timing.
There's also the one byZora's Domain on Ploymus Mountain.
I haven't seen the one you're talking about though. Do you mean theWhere in that area is it?Gerudo Highlands?

Something happened that almost every weapon, bow and shield drop/treasure I obtain as of late has some upgrades in them. I've been getting this attack up, durability up, etc on my new weapons. Pretty cool, but curious as to what happened.
You can cook a dozen meals in three minutes. I've probably spent a combined total of 15-20 minutes cooking in 55+ hours of play. Heck, just cook five apples if you're feeling lazy.
You can fly through the menu tabs by holding down the analog stick.
Uhh. Why is anyone having problems with the rain? The UI even tells you that is going to rain in the next few hours, if you are getting caught by it by surprise its your own fault. Just make a fire before the rain starts and rest till the next day.
That's three minutes I could spend doing fun stuff though.
Cooking in this game is like cooking meat in Monster Hunter. I don't have time for that shit so I get by without it.
Yup. I can't imagine how annoying some things would be w/o cooking. Not to mention I enjoy the charming cooking anim.If anything cooking is almost too good.
One hearty radish gives you full HP and temporary hearts.
A few ironshell crabs gives you HP and a decent defense buff.
They are ridiculous. I beat one and I died a dozen times. Perfect dodge, flurry over and over
I still find it hard to believe that I couldn't have scarfed down 20 apples by the time I reach the cooked food page.
You missed at least one;Saas Ko'sah Shrine in Hyrule Castle.
probably that, I have the Italian version so the name is different.. it is right on the sideof the enormous stone sword on the peak
if I remember correctly is a white one
Oh my god you're dead to me. It all makes sense now.
There's usually ways up mountains that don't require a ton of climbing. I think the rain mechanic is the game's way of telling you "don't rely on climbing so much".
That's how I feel about cooking. It's such a chore. I'd rather chow down on raw materials. You'd rather eat 20 apples over one meal?
It's "good enough", but it's also incredibly tedious and boring.
there are meals you can cook in 10 seconds that give you maxed out red hearts + 5 temporary hearts.
when you have 15 heart containers, it's worth it.
also when you have 5 heart containers it's worth it.
no amount of apples or raw meat is going to give you temp hearts, stamina boosts, or attack and defense boosts.
My eyes are twitching more than nervously right now. I can't even.
Parrying the lasers isn't that difficult. Can't give the exact spot but it is around when the circles around the targeting eye turns blue. Works for me most of the time.
So as soon as that happens I press ZL + A?
If you just cookYou'd rather eat 20 apples over one meal?
Just before they shoot the laser you can hear a loud beep, react to that sound.
That's how I feel about cooking. It's such a chore. I'd rather chow down on raw materials.
Just hold ZL the whole time so your shield is up and you're locked on to it. Then hit A to perform the parry when the time is right.
But I like to climb! It's the one mechanic that really sets this game apart so far from the other open world games, being able to traverse virtually anywhere. And lot of the areas are definitely designed with that idea in mind, so having a weather mode that basically gimps you is just... bleh.
