The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

This was one of the first things in this game where I was like, "wow, this is neat" but honestly it's more annoying than anything now. That and not being able to climb worth crap in the rain. Takes away from the experience for me.

Overall, I'm enjoying the game more and more as I go on. I haven't actually "died" since the first few hours since I realized you can grind fairies. Is the master sword able to break? I really want to get it since I heard you can
get it when you max stamina.

I only have one more tower to climb and I believe I've finished 32 shrines. I still haven't done any of the divine beast missions though.

What's with their repop? It doesn't seem to controlled by the Blood Moon

Can someone tell me what the power you get from the
Rito divine beast
does? I never remembered the game telling me what it does but I see it on the side of my screen with three uses.

Lifts you up into the air a decent amount and you can then glide. Decent height too.

uh oh, my wii u is crashing after 10-15 min of being on...

I hope this thing isn't dying on me, I was planning to gift it to someone after I finish Zelda.

Also I wouldn't be able to finish the game.

After fighting my first Lynel I see why they're probably a pain. I thought I could hide atop a mountain and lob bombs at it and it retaliated against me by firing homing arrows that kill in one hit.

NO ONE TOLD ME THE HORSES COULD PERMANENTLY DIE!!!

I read in one of the loading screens that using a horse would make it easier to cut the legs off a guardian. One started chasing me and instead of running away like I normally do I decided to burn through some of the good weapons and arrows I had and before I knew it my horse got shot, caught on fire, and died.

RIP ChocoMilk. I had him since the beginning of the game, like 15 or 20 hours ago at this point. :(

I then spent way too much time getting this all black horse. 3 star speed, 4 star everything else.

I'm in search of a particular piece of armor:
the headpiece which has links hair being hold up with kind of an metal hairband
. Anyone know where I can get it?

You can locate a Great Fairy who resurrects deceased horses. You pay a one-off 1000 rupee fee and the Fairy still bring fallen horses back to life.

I just did the quest to enter Gerudo Village.

...

I don't know what I expected.
I mean, at least the set effect is neat?

Desert if you don't meant the ninja armor in Kakariko.

Necklace jewelry is in
gerudo town jeweler shop. There is a quest to unlock it. You can also get the diamon necklace in the maze at the tip right corner of the map. Drop in the hole after you beat the shrine and run straight ahead and grab it before you get rekt.

Wonder if anyone can advise re a Sheikeh slate upgrade.

I have got the sensor+ upgrade and the game has now essentially turned into Pokemon snap lol. Is there anyway to get all the stuff I've already discovered into the compendium without having to drop the item and take a photo of it?

I'm having issues with the game since my Wii U's touchpad is damaged in some way. Seems to be water damage, which can only really be reversed sometimes by heating the gamepad. This normally isn't a problem since the game doesn't need the touchpad, however there appears to be an old holdout from before where dialogue choices are tied to the touch screen working properly, so I can't press up or down or confirm with the A button. Only back out with the B button, and if there's no option for that, I'm stuck until I heat up the gamepad so that it works for a brief second, so I can press A. I was having a really hard time yesterday morning dealing with this in the Great Plateau, but I finally managed to get out of there, and played most of the day yesterday.

Went straight for Hyrule Castle despite barely any upgrades (can't upgrade health without the touchpad working) and wasted a lot of time trying to climb that map tower without killing the Guardians near by, though I was eventually able to do it. Got through the front gates, but decided pretty quickly to retreat. I've been more or less going across the south eastern side of the game activating map towers, but now am going more inland towards Kakariko. Still no armor or health upgrades, so I've been getting killed quite a bit. I was able to kill a Hinox though that I found in a cave that had a hole in the ceiling, by just bombing the thing until it was weak enough to take out with one of the better weapons I got from near Hyrule Castle.

I'm hoping that I can find some armor or something in the wild or in a shrine, since buying stuff in stores is a real pain due to the touchpad problem. Sort of contemplating now how much time I want to sink into this, or if I should eventually get a copy of this when I get a Switch, and just play that instead.

You mean equiping a new saddle or just registering the first time? I remember they asked me for high affection to switch saddles, next time I tried I had it maxed.

There are different types of saddles? Yup I meant registering for the first time and getting a saddle. Had no idea there were different types of saddles. I have put so many hours in and still don't feel like I've scratched the surface of this game.

I cannot for the life of me beat the Mounted Archery Course. Joy-con controls are just super jerky with or without motion control. And it's enraging me because I was a beast at OoT's archery challenges. The only one of my friends who could beat it.

At least when it comes to weapons, you can equip and take a selfie.

Does it matter if you give apples or raw meat to dogs? At Outskirt Stable I gave this dog apples and raw meat and he follows me a little but doesn't lead me to treasure or just follow me all the way through. It differs per dog I assume then?

How do I obtain new sadddles and different manes? In the leaked list of all the game's items, there is a saddle that looks like
metal horse armor, as well as head armor. Also different mane styles and mane colors.

You win them from mini games, get them as side quest rewards, and buy them at a shop.

I have found two sets so far:

Monster
set from fang and bone shop
Royal
set from finding the all
white horse

Well, I was really enjoying this game until I got up to the forced stealth section at the
Yiga Clan hideout.
Man, I wouldn't mind as much if I could manually save whilst I'm there or at least be given a chance to fight back but I can't The enemies are so strong and my weapons seem to break in like 3 hits against them. So I'm stuck here struggling to make it past the second room, being forced to restart every time I'm seen because I'm not allowed to save and the enemies are too strong :/

It's like they tried to make it frustrating.

Ok I collected all the armor that I wanted and got all the ones I wanted at least to two stars. Except the
tunic of the Wild set lol.
. Lmao don't think I'll ever collect enough star fragments to upgrade that set.

The slippery climbing while it is raining is pretty annoying ... I have waited for so long for rainfall to pass in the game. Just brings everything to a halt

You can climb and there are walkways above you. There is no reason to touch the floor in the second room.

Your welcome

Anyone done the korok challenge on top of elma knolls (north of the castle)? Can't see what i'm supposed to be shooting at. Have 898 seeds, just want to finish this...

edit: nm figured it out. You have to stand on the stump or the balloons won't trigger. One seed left...

The big Korok, does he just go to random places? I've only found him at the entrance to the path to Kakariko Village and he helped me twice and left. I have about 40 seeds now and I'd like to spend them.

I really love how the game rewards you for trying shit. I was in the Lost Woods and thought to myself
"hey I wonder if I can climb to the top of the Great Deku Tree."
Lo and behold I can and at the top was a nice little setup and a quest too. Nothing special, a decent reward, but more importantly a nice acknowledgement for my curiosity.

The fuck. I've put in like 100 hours and only have like 150 seeds.
