Get up close to it, then perfect dodge and flurry the fuck out of it.

May take a couple tries to get the timing down but once you do they're cake.

I'm perfect parrying and I'm dong well. Got its health down to 100 now.

WTH!!! These things can breathe fire???

You just finished the motion control tilt thing and now you want to go straight to
horse jumping
? You're a sucker for punishment! That mini game is even more frustrating than the tilt bullshit. I'm a bit angry just thinking about it lol.

If it doesn't involve motion controls it's better for me already. Also
that's where the horse customisation was :)

There's a Zora in Zora's Domain that will give you a diamond for every 10 luminous stone you give him. He's near the entrance of the city.

The first time you give him 10 stones he gives you 2 diamonds, then 1 diamond per 10 every time after that.

There's a sidequest in Zora's Domain that allows you to fetch diamonds pretty easily.

(If you're interested in knowing how to obtain diamonds)

That's helpful thanks.

Charge at him when he's charging that and circle strafe

Woo Yes!! I took it out. I perfect parried the hell out of it. I got hit plenty times though when it like charged at me. I lost 3 of my 1 handed weapons.

God, this game is amazing. That was hands the toughest sword fight in any Zelda game I've ever played. I can't wait to see what hard mode is.

People need to stop with Sterling's review, it was his experience, after reading his review I personally think he wasnt able to convey that experience but in the end thats the score he deemed appropriate after playing the game.

Its pathetic to care about it beyond that or even feel that his review detracts from your experience. Reminds me of the infamous 8.8 or the people crying or saying how angry they were after that one Uncharted 4 review or the embarrassing reactions to Destructoid's Uncharted 3 review and I could go on, its time to stop .

I did this one last night as my final "dungeon" and it's definitely the weakest of the four. It's the one part of the game so far that feels somewhat unfinished, particularly when juxtaposed with the other three.

Really? It was my favorite. Actually the only one I really liked. Also stuff before entering on it was very good. Awesome soundtrack.

Guys guys, I need help :(

I am 55 hours into the game and this is what my map looks like:

I made the flower girl rage

That shit was hilarious

I don't think Zelda is beyond reproach. If you are genuinely annoyed by stamina meters and such, I can see you give it a seven. I'd say it's a shame that you cant enjoy what's in front of you, but I hold similar opinions for games like Witcher 3, which other people onsider masterpieces. But I consider the closest game type to Zelda the Bethesda open world games, and if you give Fallout 4 a 9.5 and Zelda a 7, you went so far through crazy town that you looped all across the universe and came back into crazy town. That or he's trolling. Knowing Jim's persona, I'm guessing he's basking in the hate now.
Anyway, I'll let it rest there to agree to disagree.

How are you guys blazing through this game? I've been playing pretty long ass sessions since launch and I just reached 62 shrines and just finished my second beast. And I Still have half of the map left to uncover. How y'all so fast?!

Can I still explore the world after beating Ganon?
Yeah.

I'm 20+ hours in and have done 11 shrines. 34 Korok seeds. No dungeons. Haven't even been to a town yet!

It's actually perfectly reasonable to compare his thoughts on BotW to other open world games he's reviewed. Your comparisons fall completely flat, as I don't think anyone in this topic really cares about the number he gave the game and no one has even come remotely close to melting down.

Nobody's angry here though.

To add, I like that every
terminal you activate on a guardian, the music in the dungeon adds a specific part to it. Its the small details...

I agree. It has been 10 days since release date and people have already formed their opinions about the game. A review that shows up 10 days later is just going to be glanced over, nothing more. Now, if his review came out on review day then that would have been a completely different story.

That is good to hear. It will be better for one not to work out than for all four to be like that. It was not too far from being good. It just didn't come together well. Yes, you could say unfinished feeling.

Alright, there's still like four regions I haven't really combed through as much, but I think I'm going to make the trek to Hyrule Castle.

Weapons check, good amount of guardian weapons.
Armor sets upgraded to at least have set bonuses check.
At least a dozen of full recovery food dishes check.

Oh wait, I should buy more Guardian arrows with my remaining stock.

Sometimes I see these little spinning toys that as a kid you blow on them to make it twirl. Do they do anything? I swore that once there was a korok at one but I've bumped into 3 other twirly things and nothing.

Koroks.
They usually involve archery challenges, look for something to shoot

Sometimes they activate something nearby. Look around for balloons to pop.

go near then then a bunch of target balloons pop up and you have to hit them with arrows or basically pop them in any way to reveal a korok

They're an indication of an
archery related korok puzzle. Most will have balloons, others won't and you have to look at the scenery to see if there's something you can shoot, like an apple in a tree or something similar

Have you done any dungeons yet?

Man I'm jealous that you can experience going to those regions for the first time. I only have 4 unexplored areas and I dont want it to end :(

Watching Jim's videos on Watch dogs 2 and Horizon he seems to love their open world's.

What do they do better than Zelda? It's been the most refreshing game I've played for years

I'm not. I'm taking my sweet time with it and I'm loving it. 50+ hours and only one dungeon + less than half of the map.

I need some help with a Gerudo side quest:

I'm trying to complete the Finding Barta side quest. The soldiers in the barracks say that she is near the leviathan bones searching for a fairy fountain. I've scoured those bones, the shrine, and the fountain, but I can't find her anywhere. Am I missing something?

This makes me feel a bit better lol.

Is this for the shrine quest?

.. did you "finish" that area?
I have four towers activated including the great plateau. I've still seen nothing. I did play through Hyrule castle though, nabbed all the treasure I could find.

It feels like Minecraft to me, experimental and exploratory. I'm just wandering lost all the time.

She should be standing at the mouth of the bones.
