I need some help with a Gerudo side quest:

I'm trying to complete the Finding Barta side quest. The soldiers in the barracks say that she is near the leviathan bones searching for a fairy fountain. I've scoured those bones, the shrine, and the fountain, but I can't find her anywhere. Am I missing something?

South of the bones if I recall. She's not too far away.

So what do you do if you (Region to the northwest of the Great Plateau, "what's behind the ominous green-ish light spoiler)
caught the "Lord of the Wilderness" or whatever he's called in English? The glowing, four-eyed... horse? The stable won't register it :(

For a PNJ quest
What is a PNG quest?

Anyway, click the spoiler below if you have finished the beast.

if you are talking about the quest at the waterfall you can just use the trident you got after finishing the elephant.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

EDIT: PNJ, not PNG.

I found the shieldboarding minigame in
the Hera Mountains
but I'm not able to get past the first challenge, my best time is around 47 seconds. Any tips? Also, are there any actions you can do apart from jumping and shooting with the bow?

Sometimes I see these little spinning toys that as a kid you blow on them to make it twirl. Do they do anything? I swore that once there was a korok at one but I've bumped into 3 other twirly things and nothing.

I got stumped by one of these yesterday, but after looking around hard I noticed
a nearby tree had just barely noticeable acorns being tossed up from behind it's branches. It was that which I had to shoot.

So for some of these you have to be looking real hard.

So I took my first trip to Hyrule Castle last night.
Wow, people weren't joking when they said it's the best version of the castle in the series. So many different areas to it. It honestly makes up a bit for the game not having any other standard Zelda dungeons. I got a lot of nifty weapons during my exploration and the glorious Hylian Shield as well! One of the first things I did when I reached the castle was going into one of the big gatehouses near the top. Bad idea, ha ha! Locked behind me and a silver-maned Lynel jumped down. Surprisingly, I was able to defeat it but man was that intense!

I guess PNJ=NPC?

Is there any way to cook anywhere? I know I can make campfires anywhere, but that just allows me make really basic stuff, not real cooking

How are you guys blazing through this game? I've been playing pretty long ass sessions since launch and I just reached 62 shrines and just finished my second beast. And I Still have half of the map left to uncover. How y'all so fast?!
Gotta be the kids without jobs or people not interested in flipping over every rock.
I'm about the same as you in terms of stuff done.

Well the Frostspear is apparently in Hebra Mountains and Hyrule Field.

Thanks I'll go search there then

EDIT: Huh, that's weird, it's showing 98 again.

Are fairies bugged for anyone else? After going to Eventide Island they just don't show up anymore. Not at Fairy Fountains, not in grass, nothing. They just do not exist anymore in my game.

I just finished my first divine beast quest. Seems I've been missing out some good stuff because I've skipped those out for quite a while.
Mipha is waifu. Too bad she's dead. Link should have his harem one day. He deserves it lol.

A lot of side quests open up in Zora Domain after the dungeon. Looks like I'll stay there a bit longer than I expect.

And yeah, diamond farming can be done here too.

Hah, the little boy who wants you to show him weapons asked me to bring him a windcutter. By sheer luck a Yiga clan fighter with one ambushed me. I broke my ice spear in fighting him, but that's the game.

Bring it back. Next he wants an Ancient Battle Axe+. Happen to already have it, great!

Next is an ice spear. XD

Who the hell decided
the master sword should have energy that runs out?

I'm still really enjoying it, but after putting in about 30 hours, I'm at the point where I've lost all ability to believe video game reviewers.

It's like the entire game "journalist" community chose to overlook all the flaws this game has.

Zelda, like GTA and MGS has proven that it is a series that can never be reviewed fairly.

Meh. I just assume other opinions may differ from my own. I appreciate well-reasoned argument for or against, but I don't allow much of it to interject my own thoughts.

It's pretty much why I've only browsed around the forum lately (well, besides spoilers and actually playing the game), as I knew there would be a large divide on the mechanics. All valid - but I have my own thoughts about things, and so far I'm still convinced this is probably one of the greatest games I'll ever play.

What happened to horses not running into trees.
It is literally the first thing that happened after I got the
white horse
.

Maybe bond with your horse and when you do don't rush into trees. At normal speed, they'll avoid trees 100% of the time. You don't need to touch the cstick if not to steer left or right or diminish the speed.

I actually really like the bit of voice acting there is, but there's so little of it that it winds up feeling kind of pointless and frustrating. I just started the Zora divine beast and it's been so long since any of these people spoke that it almost caught me off guard when there was a bit of dialogue during the sequence.

Wow! I'm going to buy everything
Kilton
sells!
Bought
the monster horse stuff, the bokoblin and moblin masks (used the moblin one in Hyrule Castle, the Moblins were sceptical of me, but they didn't attack me at least) and the spring hammer. That thing is hilarious, beating bokoblins off cliffs! Next thing I'm gonna buy is the Lynel mask, want to see how they react. Gotta get more mon though!

70 hours on the clock, beat Ganon with 5 missing memories.

Sometimes I see little swirls of petals that disappear when I get close. I assume these are Koroks to uncover but I haven't worked out how to solve these yet. Most of the other Korok puzzles I get quite quickly.

Screw whoever thought it was an awesome idea to have rain make it difficult to climb AND make five to ten minute rainstorms. I'm currently waiting out a rainstorm to climb out of a hole, and this is getting old.

I'm convinced there are parts of the game it rains on purpose to stop you from reaching a area quickly. I have a quest to get to a certain place and am on the easter edge near cliffs and it's been raining in game for 18 hours game time. The sun came out and the moon and changed the lighting yet its still raining and the cliff is wet so I can't go where I need.

Its super annoying if thats the case and they don't convey to you a different way you can't get there. Loving the game but sometimes the rain and cliffs make getting around more difficult then it should be. I even have extra stamina and boots that help with climbing but doesn't matter.

Sheesh, I can't comprehend how fast people are.

Spent 40 hours or so in south-east hyrule and decided I better do my first dungeon. Took my horse and rode through three regions straight to Rito village. I only activated the towers and picked up memories along the way. It was incredibly difficult not to get sidetracked.

This is the first game i've ever played which deserves to be called an adventure game.

Haven't gotten that far down the line then with this lad yet. Little fucker demands ancient weapons though? Little shit.

Glanced over Jim's review but I saw in the final sentence that he dislikes that the game has the Ubisoft Towers. Goes he beyond that in the other parts of the review or is he going the way of easy criticism?

Otherwise, what do I have to do to make the red dragon spawn? I saw it from the Akkala institute but by the time I was where I saw it first it was over the hill.

And I'm disappointed that the Master Sword
doesn't recharge while it's sheathed but has to be drained completely.

How did I just realize there are usually magnetic chests near waterfall? I've only activated 4 towers so far but I probably skipped 3 waterfalls without checking for treasures.

And I just clicked on that 6/10 review without consider it could be a clickbait review. It may or may not but its outlier score is a very strong possibility.

lol I went for the towers as my first goal to complete the map. Got a bunch of shrines that way. From there its just working your way down the list at least for Story content. side quests are still a huge work in progress for all of us.

Regarding the dragons,
they all have a set spawn point at midnight every night. You just have to figure out the general area where they spawn and you should be able to narrow down where each of those are. They won't spawn if you are too close to this area when the clock hits midnight, but that shouldn't be too much of an problem in my experience. Then once you figure the spot out, just camp there around midnight every day (can only get 1 item per night) until you have what you need.
