The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

This game has a serious problem... there's no motivation for the player to waste their time doing quest once you noticed that you'll get shit from them...

The quests like in other Zeldas should have a 1/4 heart as a reward... And the shrines should reward spirit orbs that should be necesasy to upgrade the habilities... That way you make all the content with meaning.

Too bad there are more of those tilt mazes. Oh well.

What's a good way to grind rupies? Lots of stuff I wanna buy but I don't want to sell something I'll need later.
Play the snowball bowling mini-game directly by the Hebra Tower. Getting a strike will earn you 300 rupees every time (20 rupees fee, so 280 net gain). Just stand between the middle and the right column, turn veeeery slightly left and throw. I gained over 10k rupees in about 25 minutes.

I'm pretty happy that my stamina bar is quite large thanks to doing the shrines (makes a world of a difference for climbing and swimming). More and more hearts doesn't hurt either.

I can see why helping people would bother you if the rewards are small. I like to do them just for the sake of doing them and making people happy.

About the same performance as docked
Nah
Yeah there are high rupee locks for many things. Pretty much accustomed to grinding a lot of that black rock when on your way to a new area to get lots of rubies and shit. Nothing like finding the fairy or getting into town and being hit with a 1000 rupee fee. You almost get no rupees for doing most quests so you are forced to manually grind a bit

What is painful is when you realize late the double purpose for some of the materials you find to craft many things. If I knew that ahead of time I would have just cooked raw meat and to hell with most elixirs.
Are you people selling the materials you don't need? Because i bought the
house, put tons of shit in there
and now i have 3000 rupees again.

Thanks. Unfortunately not sure where that is. I'll find it eventually I'm sure.

I must be a genius of motion control because i didn't find anything wrong or annoying about the motion controlled shrines. I have only encountered one so far but it really controlled perfectly to me and i actually found it super interesting while easy to pull off, got it on my first try.

Sometimes i don't know if gaf just hates motion control just because it's not traditional or if it's just frustration because you are bad at it. Or maybe your joycons are fucked?

My gamepad MUST be fucked because the one I did was completely ridiculous. I could basically only reliably move the platform on one of the three planes of motion.

Nah

Almost every material has crafting purpose, so nope. All I sell is the gem rocks and even those are needed in a few places

beat ganon

all the dungeons, 63 shrines, 54 korok seeds

amazing game

so
what's supposed to happen after the credits roll? I let them go, the end, then there's an extra scene but after that it popped me back out to the main game menu and when I load my save it puts me before ganon. is that normal?

Did you get all the memories?

Rain sucks, but do you know what sucks more? Lightening, because all of my melee weapons are metal except the korok leaf and my torch. Least I have wooden bows.

Finally beat the Major test of strength. Full armor set complete! That was much easier than before simply because I took my time and didnt get overeager to get in hits.

I got myself caught in the final blast though. Otherwise would have been a perfect victory. Oh well!

The memory you find in the Zora region is just....Fuck, man

mad feels

I maxed out the bow inventory but there's still an empty space on the screen. Is there a secret unbreakable bow (I suppose it could be light arrows too) or is that spot going to stay empty forever?

It's both.

The motion control puzzles in this game are fantastic. I'm happy Nintendo still embraces motion from time to time, even in their traditional games. I'm so happy the Switch Pro Controller has gyro built in.

you only get the extra scene if you get all the memories. Thats it. There is nothing more.

I think that's normal?? Same thing happened to me and kinda killed my interest in going back to see what I missed (which I know is a lot of stuff).

You can always unequip
Yeah, but monsters attacking/ambushing you with no weapons isn't a great situation to be in, and it's even worse when they can kill you in one hit and won't stop chasing you. Guess I can always teleport to safety but all of that progress gone. Least I have a lot of wooden bow s but no good against guardians (no ancient arrows) or the
ninjas that teleport out of no where
.

Fucking hell.

I saved your goddamned forsaken desert from armageddon and you still forbid me to enter unless I dress up like a hoe.

You can get a piece of armor that makes you immune to lightning.

It's a side quest reward in Gerudo Town.

HAHA I had the exact same reaction. LET ME WEAR MY NORMAL CLOTHING I SAVED YOU ALL!!

Not only that but
Now I have to solve everyone's little bitch list to get to wear that helm?!

I'm not going to lie. This game is making me with the Switch had an achievements system. I normally couldn't care less about them, but like I felt about Bloodborne, when I become obsessed with a game, I actually love going for the achievements / trophies. This game could have implemented so many great ones.

Great to know! I knew that the overworld weapons respawned with the bloodmoon, really nice that the shrine weapons do as well.

Virtually all weapons respawn at bloodmoon. Mark the good weapon drop places on your map.

Both weapons I mentioned were from shrine chests, which as far as I know don't respawn.

man, really? what's all this I heard about being able to see my completion percentage once I beat the game? with my save reverting back to pre-ganon I don't think that's possible

I inadvertently saved the worst part of the game,
Yiga Clan Hideout
, until the very end of my run-through (I'm at 119 shrines, 3 divine beasts, etc).

Man, this place is bullshit. So much for that open-world philosophy where you can do anything you want, right? 'Cuz nope,
your armor is meaningless, your fairies are meaningless, and your champion abilities are meaningless
. In other words, shut up and do it the one way Nintendo wants you to do it.

Very out of place in a game like BotW.
