Jon tron says black young men commit the most crimes. Talks about how the " fatherless homes" things has grown """"""""" tired""""""""" ( vomits in my mouth)

Destiny then says

" What do you want to do just kill them all " Suggesting jon tron wasn't actually offering solutions. Just saying everything was a problem

Destiny asked what the cause for young black males to comit crimes. Jon said it isnt important why, just that they do it, Destiny answered that is important to know why so we can fix it because otherwise what are you going to do? Kill them all?

Jon melted and said something like Destiny was projecting a hidden desire to kill black people, instead he didn't used my flowery language, it was more desperate.

Jon was saying that black males disproportionately commit more crimes than whites, and Destiny kept asking what Jon thought the solution to that would be. Jon kept avoiding the answer and saying there wasn't one, so Destiny offered answers for him: deport them? kill them all?

As soon as Destiny said "kill them all" Jon jumped on him and said "You want to kill them all! Why would that even come in to your head! You want to kill black people!"
Yeesh.

"Volunteering offense" suggests I'm disingenuous with my stance in calling out people for being ableist. That is a flat out lie. I don't know anything about you and never claimed to be more affected by disability than you, I'm responding to the baseless claim you made against me.

That's not what it means at all, but it does suggest that you are more vigorously calling for people to be offended from a position more removed than people who are more closely affected.

Yeesh indeed.

I wonder how much of this Arin had to put up with.

This is the one time I'll say something about this, but I'm glad I unfollowed and unsubscribed from his channel :/ He's really become something else. I used to follow him waay back before he even was on GameGrumps, it's really a shame.

JonTron turning out to be a huge piece of shit was a huge bummer to me. Loved his channel. Got to the point where I couldn't even separate his content from his personal views =(

Yeah, I don't know if he always held views this irredeemably disgusting or not, but either way I'm incredibly disappointed that I guy I considered to be my favorite YouTuber a few years ago has been embracing white nationalism, anti-feminism, etc. this much as of late. I'd like to think he can realize how terrible everything he's saying is eventually and become a better person, but the truth is he seems too far gone now :(.

I'm just really depressed by how bad a lot of people can be about things like this.

Out of curiosity (and not to single anyone out, I noticed a lot of people discussing the use of the word "autistic" in here in this thread) I'm wondering why people don't call other out for other ableist slurs like "lame". It's an open question, but one I've always found odd. Other slurs on here definitely draw a lot of heat, but it seems like ableist slurs kind of get a pass.

Is there any reason that calling something "lame" is so accepted on here, despite it being absolutely an ableist slur?

This was basically it, almost word for word.

Nope. Fuck that. I'm not "solving" anything, but honestly, I'm sick of people volunteering offense for things that are further removed from them. Just stop it. You aren't helping anything.

Just because a guy stupidly used the word autistic carelessly doesn't make him a "bigot", Jesus Christ.

There are one hundred ways to insult people. You could even be creative and say something remotely funny.

Using the adjective given to a person with disabilities to insult other people is scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Those people can't even defense themselves about it.

Same for that GIF with the "wat" and the woman with Down Syndrome.

It may not make him a bigot, but it makes that person an asshole in my book.

That's not what it means at all, but it does suggest that you are more vigorously calling for people to be offended from a position more removed than people who are more closely affected.

I'm not even sure what you're talking about anymore. Being personally affected by disability does not give you an authority on how offended other people are allowed to be. You're perfectly entitled to not care at all about ableism, but I do care and have personal reasons for it. A lot of people have never met a disabled person in their life, yet still care. People are complicated.

We should make a tier list from how offended you're allowed to be when someone casually insults someone you care about. You end up higher on the list if you're forced into the situation against your will, as you suggested.

Also anyone below my position is volunteering offense.

Pretty much what I got out of that too.

I say, get fucked, Jafari.

I went to his show's subreddit and even them had trouble with his statements, it seems not even his "normal" supporters can stomach him.

Its indicative of a systematic culture of complete cultural disregard for rape and victims. And possibly some other things. That is not on the same level as " I fucked your mom" and casual ignorance doesn't really let that alide. Doesn't it make someone trump, no. I just wanted to point out that things that you said aren't similar examples in any regard.
It's pretty much the same thing, 'I fucked your mom' is just a patriarchal focused means of getting to the same goal. Not really the point though, people don't see it as disregard for rape victims or the disabled, they just see it as the go to insult of the day. If you ascribe ableism on those people they will be repelled by your position because they never made the connection between their word usage and the consequences to the victim in the first place. The root is ignorance.

Even then you don't hold individuals accountable for cultural problems, individuals have to grow out of the position culture roots them in and it is that growth that moves the whole boat along. This idea of dismissing people for not being far enough along yet is a cancer. A progressive in 99 of 100 policies will indirectly support that 100th policy simply by virtue of being a progressive. You don't call that guy a dumbfuck, you work on that 100th issue. And sure, calling him a dumbfuck isnt going to 180 someone like Destiny, but other people are watching and seeing the 99 guy still not being 'good enough' or even getting basic respect in dealing with their fuckup.

Also, 2Smashed, you're on the fucking internet talking to someone you don't fucking know on a fucking public forum.

I mean, let's have some perspective here.

I don't care if I get banned for it, you're a fucking asshole and insinuating that I said in anyway that my brother is "dragging me down" is abhorrent. Fuck you.

The whole"I'm not going to be your friend" or "I'm going to unsubscribe from you" because you disagree with someone on something is fucking childish.

Stop it.

The guy's parents are Iranian. The Americans are all originally immigrants. His hypocrisy is laughably obvious but he can't see past his nose. Absolutely embarrassed for his parents.

Dude doesn't need to be disabled to call out shit that is just plain bullying bro. Don't need to be a woman to call out Gators either.

You have a brother that is disabled and another poster is actually disabled and is more 'offended', does that negate your post because someone is experiencing it firsthand rather than from a loved one? It just turns into the oppression olympics then, just in another form.

Edit: And I agreed with you before man, just not on this.

Making light/fun of the hardships family members and caregivers of the mentally and physically handicapped face isnt very helpful or supportive to those handicapped people either, bubba.

I imagine his parents are completely oblivious about his recent politics beyond 'he's a famous internet gamer youtube man'.

But jontron's "disagreement with me"

Was about my race.

I feel like the argument you are trying to present , ignores different races of people and racism exist.

I'm not allowed as a black man, to unsubscribe because of the shit he said. You can fuck right the fuck off with that shit.

Some do, but it is ingrained and deemed inoffensive in a way that others aren't, and thus doesn't cause the same immediate "cringe". Same with crazy, insane, looney, etc. Actually, I find that, something that implies physical deformity or learning/mental disabilities is going to get more heat then something that implies mental or emotional illness.

Admittedly, it'd even be hard for me to do. We know "retard" is awful but "stupid" "idiot" "dumb"? Those are the ones you tell kids to use instead of the actual swears they want to use.

Fuck off with that. If I don't want to give a dude more views and clicks because he feels that I'm inherently more violent or prone to crime due to my race, that's my business. His viewpoints are fucking childish and uninformed and legit harmful.

You made a point to say that your situation is worse because you were forced into a situation you didn't even choose to be in. The implication is pretty clear. It's what makes you high tier enough to not have a volunteered opinion on if it's okay to casually insult people with disabilities after all.

I never used the word "forced" nor implied it, you fucking dick.

Wha?
Why is it childish? You don't want to support some racist financially so you unsubscribe, perfectly reasonable

The whole "I'm gonna defend an actual racist" or "I'm gonna still support this person despite him being a racist tool" because you lowkey agree with someone on something is fucking childish.

Stop it.

Dude this guy is a racist, plain and simple. You can't disagree with racism, it's just facts that a racist is an asshole.

Please tell me how I'm childish for not wanting to support or condone defending racial prejudice?

I guess the adult thing to do would be for me to continuously suppress any feeling of discomfort in situations like this. The fact that I or my parents might feel unwelcome is our own problem and responsibility, and I should make sure that I don't let that stop me from supporting people who defend or promote ideologies that are openly hostile to my presence in the country I was born in, or regard me as the product of some "degenerate race mixing".

Well as a black guy I'm not ok with being told I'm prone to crime. That seems like a good reason to unsub, right.

I mean what do you call it when you don't get to make a choice?

This is all your idea. Please stop volunteering concern at my word choices.

Yeah, you did say you were forced into it, 2Smashed, when you said it was not your choice.

I'm autistic.

You're using your brother as a card here, and that's disgusting.

You are being awful. No one has said it is ok to casually insult anyone. The original point was that there is a difference between malicious intent and someone being thoughtless, and that attacking someone (fuck that guy) who agrees with you in principal, doesn't help with achieving the larger goal. That doesn't mean they get a pass and can say whatever they want.

The whole"I'm not going to be your friend" or "I'm going to unsubscribe from you" because you disagree with someone on something is fucking childish.

Huh? People should still be subscribed to people they feel like have hateful views? Come on now, this isn't just a matter of disagreement.

One thing is having different opinions.
Other thing completely different is BEING A WJITE SUPREMACIST THAT BELIEVES WHITE GENOCIDE IS HAPPENING. Fuck any single motherfucking piece of shit that holds these kinds of views. If someone in my family hold these views i would never talk to them again. No motherfucking tolerance for this level of human scum.

I got a boner when I heard that JonTron was going to debate Destiny. It's like a toddler going into a boxing ring with Tyson.
