JonTron (youtuber) speaks against demographic "invasion" of America by nonwhites

Had to turn the stream off after listening to this moron make a fool of himself for entirely too long.

Millions of people listen to this guy and agree with him.

Hundreds of people in the Twitch chat were saying despicable racist shit.

It all just makes me fucking sick. I don't understand how people can look another human being in the eyes...the beautiful, intricate, and unique eyes that every single human being has, and truly think that that person is intrinsically inferior due to their race.
 
I always though that as these youtubers got older we'd start to see them make bad choices and there would be scandals, as that is what happens when people get older and they are in the constant light of fame. But, I never had any idea it was going to be a bunch of racist bullshit.

Can't they do the normal drug problem thing all the child stars from the 80s did. Jeez.

All those 12 year old kids who threw out racial slurs every sentence grew up. Their parents thought they would age out of it, instead the alt-right was born.

This Destiny guy is great. Is he a gamer streamer? He seems to know what he's talking about, not that I know myself.
 
He sounds like he formed a lot of his opinions in his early teens, when you're the most "look how edgy and uninformed my opinion is" but then never really matured passed that point.

Most people don't realise until later, and even then many will claim some nonsense about "separating the art from the artist" (lol) as they continue to line the pockets of horrible people.

I know I personally now take a sceptical "shitty until proven good" stance wrt to YouTubers, and donut research before subscribing (it's usually easy to tell on twitter).

perhaps it should be noted in the thread that arabs/persian don't see eye to eye on things and that maybe he learned that from his parents and that could be a factor in what we see now.

That's really not a great strategy, to be honest. Jontron's revenue comes quite significantly from sponsorship deals, and if the racist views don't scare them off the drop in revenue from alt-righters who (lets be real here) are the type to use Ad-Block/never care for sponsorship segments. Youtube video-making is already an incredibly volatile industry to work in, making your situation even more volatile by aligning with the internet alt-right is frankly dumb.

Also, you can find a good share of anti-muslims and anti-arabs rethorics in the iranian diaspora. It came at odd with the fact that hating arabs or muslims won't erase your non americanness in far right circles.
 
I'm an hour and half in on the stream and I'm now thinking that Jon has figured he's fucked up big time, feels he's well out of his league in the subject and has now resorted to straight up trolling. Destiny seems to be taking the bait but still remains as level headed as he can.

My blood pressure can't take much more. Half hour left.

If Destiny has a Youtube channel, I'll subscribe to him.

Wow the dude who got mad because people asked him to stop screaming 'retard' is a total asshole? How could we have known? Before I became aware of who he was I tried a few of his videos and couldn't get with the humour on offer. Glad he didn't click as it made it that much easier to recognise when he started to go off the deep end.
 
So I started watching the stream and just pointing to random moments to see how bad it was.... Nothing Jon says made any sense. One scene was the fact that the Irish weren't treated like shit. To saying it's ok for a country "to uphold it's values" by going BY Japan. I remember watching his videos and finding him entertaining. Know I just find him pathetic and a hypocrite.
 
Jon seems to be on a quest to ruin his career.

Or maybe not? His politics are the "popular" ones now I suppose, and god knows he'd have a fan base still in the form of gamergate.

Last night I almost stepped on a toad while putting the bins out. It's complete societal breakdown, I'm expecting the weasels to take over the local manor house down the road and turn it into a rave on a school night any day now.
