There's maybe 4 or 5 shrines where the sensor is actually going to hurt you. Things are buried hard under mountains and when the sensor is going off and how it is going off couldn't be further from where the actual entrance is.
This is why I think people should play without the sensor if they want a real challenge. It dumbs down the game's exploration aspect by having a loud buzzer point out secrets. I have found some incredibly well hidden shrines by taking the initiative and exploring way off the beaten path and I would've been disappointed if the game had told me they were there. Far more rewarding discovering things all on your own.
This is fine and all, but not everyone is going to want to do that, especially if they have a limited amount of time to play with.

Holy crap. And it took so long for someone to try it.
I know... this is more for the "game gets too easy" crowd. I remember OOT in '98 and getting bummed at how ridiculously easy it becomes right away and looking for ways to make it tougher. BOTW gives you so many ways to keep the challenge intact.
Has this been posted yet? Fucking hyped!
Whaaaaaat?? Crazy! I thought they were hard-baked into the landscape. Apparently not. LOL

Speaking of hearts / stamina, as someone who focused exclusively on stamina early on I found it pretty annoying that getting theMaster Sword is tied to how many hearts you have and not a mix of hearts / stamina. Hell, it should be based on how many Spirit Orbs you've collected, really.
I'm like 100 hours so far and still havent ran into the second, help please.great fairy
Rock climbing in the rain forest area where the rain never stops is so much fun. I don't see how it would be possible to waste time here. The shrines are placed in obvious and logical places throughout the whole thing. Good job, Nintendo!
So the horned statue near hateno village... Is there ever a point to sell a heart or stamina?
I need to acquire a triple shot bow, what are my options in doing so from easiest to hardest?
I turned the Sheikah Sensor off as soon as I got it. This is a game about exploration, I don't want the game to do the discovering for me! But I respect other folks playing the game however they want.

You could do it for easy money or to make the game harder I supposeFor respeccing. That's it really.

Some people don't want to do 100% shrines. Actually now that I have 13 hearts, I just use them as fast travel points and complete them whenever I feel like to.Some of these shrines are damn near impossible to find without the sensor. Even with the sensor I was stumped a few times.
Was wandering around the south beach, west of Lurelin village, saw some slightly tilted Deactivated Guardians sitting in shallow water. Tried using Cryosis to see if I could flip them over, it actually worked! Got 4-5 Ancient Parts as reward instead of the usual 1 for the 'Search' function.
Small surprises like this are what make this game incredible.
YesI need two hints:
1) Is the Bowling Minigame in the snowy mountains in the north west?
2) Is it possible to climb onto the mountains in the very, very west? I tried it, but the wind keeps pushing me away from the walls.
Zora and Gerudo challenges cleared, I am hanging out with Gorons now. They sold me overpriced fire armor, better be worth it.
I enjoyed the Gerudo Beast's challenges, except for the part at the endwhere they expect you to jump into a room through the ceiling, and I walked by the spot so many times thinking "I guess that's how you get back down to the main floor". Also, the boss killed me A LOT until I figured out that I better switch my two-handed weapon out to shield block his stupid lightning attack.
There's this tower surrounded by guardians.
...
HOW?
I'm at that point too. Grabbing it this evening. Cannot wait.100% map uncovered, found the respec shrine, and I know where the korok forest is
I think it is time (after work)
Just finished my third divine beast and heading towards the last one. I have theone left. By then I should have enough hearts to getGerudoand go take on Ganon. Trying my best to finish this game before Mass Effect comes out next week.the master sword
