The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

There's maybe 4 or 5 shrines where the sensor is actually going to hurt you. Things are buried hard under mountains and when the sensor is going off and how it is going off couldn't be further from where the actual entrance is.

It also completely falls apart in any of the maze puzzles.

This is why I think people should play without the sensor if they want a real challenge. It dumbs down the game's exploration aspect by having a loud buzzer point out secrets. I have found some incredibly well hidden shrines by taking the initiative and exploring way off the beaten path and I would've been disappointed if the game had told me they were there. Far more rewarding discovering things all on your own.

This is fine and all, but not everyone is going to want to do that, especially if they have a limited amount of time to play with.

I know... this is more for the "game gets too easy" crowd. I remember OOT in '98 and getting bummed at how ridiculously easy it becomes right away and looking for ways to make it tougher. BOTW gives you so many ways to keep the challenge intact.

I turned the sensor off, not because I didn't want to use it, but because the sound was annoying.

I did turn it on in the snow maze though, just to see what it did. It doesn't work at all lol

Dissappointing to cook a dish of Hearty Durians and Big Hearty Radishes to get 25 extra hearts only to find out I only get 19 because the game doesn't extend hearts beyond 30.

Ah... OK. That's fine.

Has this been posted yet? Fucking hyped!

The worldwide game industry is going to be like:

I can't wait!

Agreed. No sensors, pro Hud is the best way to play

We already had complains how the game didn't gave enough pointers because some people felt lost of what to do. I can't imagine them doing that, lol

Rock climbing in the rain forest area where the rain never stops is so much fun. I don't see how it would be possible to waste time here. The shrines are placed in obvious and logical places throughout the whole thing. Good job, Nintendo!

Speaking of hearts / stamina, as someone who focused exclusively on stamina early on I found it pretty annoying that getting the
Master Sword is tied to how many hearts you have and not a mix of hearts / stamina. Hell, it should be based on how many Spirit Orbs you've collected, really.

To quote Michael Bolton:

"But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part
For a hero's strength is measured by his heart, Ooooooh!"

I turned the Sheikah Sensor off as soon as I got it. This is a game about exploration, I don't want the game to do the discovering for me! But I respect other folks playing the game however they want.

The few places where there's constant rain it's usually intentional and part of the challenge.
And the rain stops when you solve it.

I need to acquire a triple shot bow, what are my options in doing so from easiest to hardest?

I just got one from a shrine last night. The forest dweller's bow with 3x15 damage.

Mogg Latan shrine, on a hilltop directly west of Central Tower and south west of Ridgeland Tower.

this one looks hard but is really really easy when you figure out how to cheese the mechanics ;)

Some of these shrines are damn near impossible to find without the sensor. Even with the sensor I was stumped a few times.

Some people don't want to do 100% shrines. Actually now that I have 13 hearts, I just use them as fast travel points and complete them whenever I feel like to.

I didn't know you could use the Magnesis to do it as well. Discovered they were flippable a few days ago:

Was wandering around the south beach, west of Lurelin village, saw some slightly tilted Deactivated Guardians sitting in shallow water. Tried using Cryosis to see if I could flip them over, it actually worked! Got 4-5 Ancient Parts as reward instead of the usual 1 for the 'Search' function.

Small surprises like this are what make this game incredible.

I need two hints:

1) Is the Bowling Minigame in the snowy mountains in the north west?
2) Is it possible to climb onto the mountains in the very, very west? I tried it, but the wind keeps pushing me away from the walls.

Zora and Gerudo challenges cleared, I am hanging out with Gorons now. They sold me overpriced fire armor, better be worth it.

I enjoyed the Gerudo Beast's challenges, except for the part at the end
where they expect you to jump into a room through the ceiling, and I walked by the spot so many times thinking "I guess that's how you get back down to the main floor". Also, the boss killed me A LOT until I figured out that I better switch my two-handed weapon out to shield block his stupid lightning attack.

There's this tower surrounded by guardians.
...
HOW?

People need to explore more: Hyrule castle instead of going straight to Ganon, it's a dungeon itsself but I saw none mentioning it.

The central tower? I approached from the south and made an elixir that jacked my movement speed way up, even then I only just made it to safety at each balcony before they fired their laser.

Option B is
wait until you get Ancient Arrows then one-shot them in the eye

Just finished my third divine beast and heading towards the last one. I have the
Gerudo
one left. By then I should have enough hearts to get
the master sword
and go take on Ganon. Trying my best to finish this game before Mass Effect comes out next week.

You never really finish the game

91 hours in and I just completed my first dungeon, the Zora one. Really good dungeon. I havent ever played a game as long as i've played this one ever.

This is hands down, a top 3 game for me.

No idea where the
Hykian Shield
is. I've done the 4 divine beasts, need 3 more memories. I've got the sword. Can someone give me a cryptic clue without straight up telling me where it is?
