how awesome would it be if this game had a multiplayer mode? where the entire map can be accessed by hundreds of people/Links at once.

Imagine shield surfing with a ton of people. imagine all the fun to be had in greifing other people
I'm trying to imagine the framerate. :3

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy the Sunshroom picture at the
research lab
? I want to try and get a full compendium of bought pictures if possible. I think this might be impossible because it's quest related.

I do feel like I'm missing that sense of consistent elaboration on a single theme - the Shrines I've done have mostly been enjoyable, but in several cases I'd have preferred if a few offered extended takes on their central gimmick instead of providing that continuation through other shrines that offer similar takes on the core mechanics, but still 'start from zero'.

There are a few shrines in the game that actually go on for several several rooms and they were very refreshing to go through and made me just a big one of those rather than the short single rooms that the game is littered with.

While I don't know about going full MMO, being able to play this with, say, 3 other people would be pure bliss.

On a side note, I reallllly need to stop playing this game until sunrise. My sleep schedule is soooo fucked

The one and so far only time I picked up a Small Key shouldn't have been as momentous an occasion as it felt like.
After going through some missed shrines, I was actually surprised how many Gerudo and I think Goron ones prepare you for their dungeon. I can't recall the other ones.

Just wondering...

I've gotten into Gerudo Town by wearing the gerudo outfit but I wonder if it's possible to meet Riju just by climbing through the back since it's wide open and not have the gerudo outfit?

They'll still spot you and kick you out.

Nope. I went into there by accident and they kick you out.

I can't believe people think Lynels are hard. Yes they are the hardest enemy in this game, maybe the hardest in any Zelda game.

But compared to just about any action game, or Bloodborne or Souls or Nioh, then a Lynel is like the first warm up boss.
You can't believe it, yet you go on to say they're the hardest in any Zelda game. I don't think there are any early bosses in Fromsoft games that can just outright one-shot you like a Lynel can.

It's the little diamond (sideways square) in loading screens.

Only 81 seeds? I have about 30 shrines, no dungeons and nearly 200 of the buggers.

Are there any significant differences between the Switch and Wii U version? Are the graphics noticeably better, does the Switch version perform better? I onyl have a Wii U, but if the differences are major than I'd rather wait and play it when I get a switch in the future.

Just completed my first dungeon. That was really cool. Wasn't planning on doing it either, was trying to complete some other quest from a completely different part of the map, saw a shrine off in the distance, glided over to it, and before I knew it I was doing a long quest line that ended with the dungeon.

When game goes bad, it doesnt go as bad on switch. Also less pop up for objects on switch

Switch version performs better (both versions have some rough framerate patches, but the Wii U has it a bit worse) and runs at a higher resolution when docked. That said, if it's gonna be a while before you get a Switch, the Wii U is a totally fine way to play it.

Where do people find so many seeds?

After 66 shrines and finishing the game I only had like 35 seeds iirc

Just keep your eyes peeled for rocks, statues, tiny windmills, rock formations, etc. Something other than grass and mountain, take a look.

The seeds are where this game shines, imo. Very neat, and you feel awesome every time you locate and solve the simple puzzles.

Over 90 hours still not over half of the shrines done and still 30 shrine quests to go and 58 side quests to do.

And 15.74% complete.

Wow:P

From Demon's:
Vanguard - yah yah I know he's not "supposed" to be beaten but he's ultimately very doable but basically will OHKO with any attack
Tower Knight
Adjudicator

From Dark:
Taurus Demon
Capra Demon
Gaping Dragon

From Dark 2:
The Last Giant
Old Dragonslayer - not 100% on this fella, I'd have to go back and check

From Dark 3:
Vordt

Hell, with Demon's, if you pick anything that's not 1-2 or 2-1 off the bat, the enemies will just destroy you.

The Souls games are weird in that you can overlevel yourself to safety but those bosses are well within OHKO range for a good number of their movies when you only have a few levels under your name.

Lynels in this game are much the same. But like Souls bosses, well timed dodges and careful gameplay will kill them just fine (plus with the help of a few powerful skills and weapons in the latter hours of the game).

Guys, I beat him! I finished Ganon! Man, that was such a spontaneous and unexpected thing to do for me, since I originally wanted to wait till I finished every single main quest objective, but man if the game already presents me with the option of facing him early, why the hell wouldn't I at least try?!

I won't get into any details, but I have to admit that at the end I shed a tear. Not particulary because of the story (which stays pretty basic), but just because of the beautiful music and because of how much of a journey this thing was! Probably the best Zelda game I've played and a game that might very well end up in my Top 3 of all time, simply because I would have never expected a game being able to grab me again like in my childhood. This was truly something very special and I thank Nintendo for that!
And now let me jump back in right away! I've only seen like half of the game lol

The feels though when you see Satoru Iwata being mentioned in the credits. Man, it still hurts :'(

I've been slacking on my rock lifting.

Wait, is that screen cream-colored? It looks white on my TV.

I don't know. That's a screenshot taken and posted to Twitter with the Switch Album app. The only thing I did in PS was write the text on it, so the colors should not be changed from the original.

So, I just got to the point
where you see your first memory (Zelda’s voice is terrible btw).
And the game just completely lets go of your hand. I mean I have a general idea of what I need to do. However, the scope of the game just seems so daunting at times! Which is neat, it actually feels like an adventure. I have a lot of hours ahead of me.

Dumb q but do clothing properties stack?

Like if I wear the climbers bandana and two flame breaker pieces will I still be protected AND be able to climb fast?

yes but not as fast as having 3 climbers equipped. when you put an item on, on the right half of the screen you can see a small gauge go up tick by tick for each property. so you would have 1 tick for the Green climbers speed gauge.

Related: is there a bonus for having a full set equipped? I've not noticed one.

Damn why do side quest rewards stink in this game. In past game every single activity mattered and went toward getting all items and hearts. Every past mini game had two layers of prizes one being a weapon upgrade and another a heart piece. Every past Zelda side quest lead to some tangable piece of equipment. Here it's almost all rupees, I have infinite rupees with all the ore I have, its pointless.

I'm seeing some bones, but not the skull.

Found some at
Goronbi River
and
Goro Cave
, however it doesn't seem to be it.
Oh the skull isn't shown on the map like Gerudo's.
Hint:
Not near Lava

Unless you grinded for Rupees, you're gonna want those Rupees.

And if you equip an Ice weapon you will be even more protected against heat. Same with cold and wearing fire weapons :)

Omg trying to get the twilight bow from this damn amiibo is driving me mad. Why did they put such an awesome item behind a toy pay wall with no other way to get it in game? Ugh dick move nintendo dick move.

With rupee's no longer being easily acquired on the field, they opted to make them the main prize for side quests. Also considering that the only way to get hearts/stamina is through shrines and not sidequests, the only thing left sidequests can give is either rupees, or gear. Given the open nature of the game, to ensure no one gets uber weapons too easily they generally opt for rupees.

It's more of a consequence of how different BOTW is from other zeldas that the side quests are kinda meh.

I kinda wish that the super strong weapons weren't so common later in the game. Like I have 5 Royal Broadswords and all of them have some sort of added buff like Durability or Damage. One of the main reasons I explored so much was because I wanted to find powerful rare weapons, but now they're everywhere and it's making the game a bit too easy.

I'm thinking about starting the whole game over again. I've only finished 2 dungeons and I haven't been to most of the southern and eastern regions. I'd love to explore them while feeling super vulnerable so that exploration and enemy encounters will be a bit more meaningful and difficult again.

I got excited when I saw Tingel Island on the edge of the map.

Journeyed all the way, and itsnothing.gif
