The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

I could see Nintendo re-using a lot of assets from this to make a new game ala Majora's Mask extremely fast in maybe...3-4 years. I sort of expect a 2D Zelda next year, though.

I hope the new Story Quest is meaty, though.

The Hyrule Wars idea at GDC seemed odd and out of place, but what Breath of the Wild set up... I wouldn't mind a prequel where you control a Goron/Rito/Zora/Gerudo Champion during the "good times"

Hyrule Civil War.

I just tossed an almost broken rusty claymore into one of those octorok variants that suck things towards them....and the friggin sword came back non-rusted.

I guess that's a thing.....this game man.

Game is intimidatingly large. I mean, jeeze.
Any quick pro tips (or links) to what are the must-do side quests or secrets? I'm going to burn myself out st the random slow rate I'm going, I need to stay focused and ignore some things haha.

I'm over 20 hours in and I just met the little science lady. She gives me a Camera and I'm like, I feel like I should have had this 12 hours ago...

My
Hylian
Shield broke in one damn attack. First time I had to reload to save an item. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't a goddamn electric Keese that did it.

Same here. and my kid just told me "you do not have a horse yet, but it was on the road, you could not miss it", except I took a whole different road ...

Farming Ancient Gears is a nightmare. I've got so much of everything else but Guardians don't want to drop the Gears at all and I need so many of them.

The must do are the shrine quests. They are not mandatory but they add to the experience since a lot of them are really fun to do and discover for yourself. A lot of the smaller side quests are fetch quests so if you don't feel like doing it you can skip a lot of them.

You probably just dropped it. Electric attacks make you drop what you are currently holding in your hand.

3 laser parries to guardian attacks and you'll be sitting with a lot of ancient gears and other parts.

I usually get a decent amount, but if you've got the Master Sword or powerful Ancient weapons, break their legs. 6 more chances for everything besides cores and maybe shafts.

that might be the one you have to fall and there's a wall you have to blow up with a bomb arrow. There's no ledge to stand on, I found it on accident

I was out of bomb arrows so I scored a Goal throwing one of those big roks that were on the other side of the mountain lol.

Watching my little brother play this game and its staggering how many things I've missed in my 70+ hours.

For example, I had no idea there were ruins close to
Hateno
that has a cabin! There's also a woman NPC with a baby who I have never seen in my play throughs.

Oh whaaaaat you can attack their appendages for additional drops? I had no idea.

Gerudo women are so...Tall in this game. Also, was
the guy who sells you the Gerudo outfit the fabled male Gerudo?

Also, which items are the safest to sell? I need more money but I'm afraid I'll regret selling some of them later.

I went to a shrine in that general area, yeah. I got the beeper after climbing the tower there and hit the nearest shrine.

Yeah, I got a hold of it, too. Still in my inventory even after all these hours 😂

There is a traveling merchant that sells ancient parts, once i found him in hateno village(night).

I'm definitely hesitant to use it, since it's so much stronger than everything else I have. I got done guardian weapons, too, since that shrine had like four of those little ones in there.

I got to the
Ruta Divine Beast Dungeon
, not really a fan so far but maybe I'm just really tired and couldn't figure out what to do. I got 2 of the terminals.

I decided to go back to civilization, wasted all my items/weapons/arrows on the fight before.

Can someone help me out and tell me where or how I might find a plain ol' Moblin Spear in the later game? Everything I find is spiked or better, but I need a regular one.

How about in Hyrule Field? On the road from the plateau to the Twin Peaks. There's a couple of Moblins there that should be relatively low leveled.

Question on upgrading armor. I can easily upgrade it the first time. After that it shows ?? For all items. This happens for all gear. And I'm now down to just the last main quest and still nothing. I figured I'd find something to give insight to more uprades but so far nothing. What am I missing?

Question : Does this game have dungeons like in other traditional Zelda games? Also, can you save your position in the middle of the dungeon or do you go back to the beginning when you reload your save data?

Have you only found one great fairy? There are more.

Means you need a different fairy to upgrade

I assume you mean Moblin Club, because that's what you need for the Hateno Village kid's side quest. You can find Moblins with them in Upland Zorana behind Zora's Domain.

After 100+ hours i've just finished the game and what a game that was. A firm member of my all time favorites right alongside Metroid Prime 1, Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls 1.

Does it have
alternative endings based on the memories you find? I found all 13 of them so i'm wondering if it changes depending on the number found or not found.

Just did my first dungeon after fifty hours of playtime. I went with the Rito Beast and... eh, it was OK. Basically just a longer shrine, as people have been saying. I only realised the central gimmick of
tilting the whole aircraft
existed right near the end, because I play in Pro mode and didn't really need to check the map. End boss was cool, though.

My eyes lit up when I saw the new ability I got from completing the dungeon, but then they went right back to unlit when I saw it had a cooldown timer so I wasn't allowed to have too much fun with it. I don't know why on Earth that's necessary.
It's not like it'd totally break the game; it's just a nice headstart up a cliff. I don't know, maybe the other dungeons give you abilities that would be gamebreaking if you could spam them over and over? I guess we'll see.
.

Right now I've explored almost everywhere in the game except the Zora's Domain and Death Mountain, and I'm focusing on that damn volcano for now. So many cool-looking things that I can't get to because I'm busy burning to death :P

There's an addition added if you get all the memories.

Question for all: does loot respawn in this game? There are some areas I'd love to revisit for precious materials and weapons.

If it's a resource like fruit or ore, or a weapon left out in the open, it should respawn. I don't think chests respawn, but someone who knows better could correct me if I'm wrong.
