I just left the Great Plateau....what do you guys do against those asshole mobs that throws rocks at you and then disappear and reappear elsewhere? I currently use arrows on them. Does perfect guard do anything against those rocks?

Perfect guard will deflect the rocks right back at them and kill them.

I would assume so. I just shoot them with arrows, too. If you get close, they hide and don't come up. Attack their bush, and they come up wondering what happened. That's when you can strike them up close.

I'm in the Kakariko area, in the beginning. I ran into these 3 metal cubes next to a big and little tree trunk....this is a puzzle of some sort but I'm stumped as to what the objective is....

Anyone know what's up?

So I unexpectedly made my way into Hyrule Castle...

What are the odds that I beat
Calamity Ganon with 7 hearts, a handful of elixirs, meals, etc...
.

Have you beaten any of the dungeons? Also have you upgraded any of your armors? The fight is pretty easy but you can make it even easier for yourself. If you haven't done any of the divine beasts you are in for a bit of a nasty surprise but honestly the fight is more fun that way. I did it with 4 hearts and 1 beast done.

It can be kinda finicky since the Octorks will jump up before shooting, so the rock will fly back to where they were instead of where they are at the moment.

Yeah you have to be kinda close to them to be able to reflect the rock back in time before they drop back into the water.

Managed to already forget the actual name of the quest but I finished The "----son" Quest, was pretty funny
Link going "Get a load of this" to the Old Zora dude after he listed his life was hilarious, as well as the whole -son ending to everyone's names. It was especially cool since I had already met everyone of the -son people. Felt nice to see a happy ending for all of them. And the town itself seems pretty nice fully finished

Come back after you finish the shrines tutorial and you should've the power to solve that puzzles. You will come across many little puzzle in the world, it's to get korok seeds that are for expanding your inventory.

So keep and eye open to those puzzles :)

70+ hours in I finally caught my first Electric Darner.

Also Kass sidequest end spoilers.
Wow, I thought hearing the song about his teacher was jealous of Link and how Zelda loved Link was great, then hearing Kass add to the Rito village music, which I already like quite a lot was awesome. So I sat there from night listening to him playing music, then around 8am he turned around to face the village instead of the mountains... I was like, huh, that's interesting. And then not too long later, the ducktales kids come running over each other to the platform. I was expecting them to fly away to the shrine location where their sidequest were, but they actually came to the platform to sing alongside Kass. That was so gosh darned cute.

The classic Zelda thing to do is just shield the rocks so they bounce back. I didn't start trying perfect guard until I ran into monsters who were too far away to be hit by a normal guard.

I've killed a horse just to see if it would give meat.

It doesn't.

I guess the dogs are out of the question too then.

Pokemon already went too far for me with pushing its whole 'nature is cruel' narrative but damn, Link would just annihilate that world D:
Kind of surprised Link cant throw the fairies into the cooking pot

My iron sledgehammer is about to break. How can i get a new mining weapon?

Any two handed weapon can fill the void, you also tend to find axes and sometimes hammers outside stables.

(or bombs yeah, that's what I used most of the time, just be aware that the gems go flying a bit further)
