Why did they make the horse AI actively attempt to dodge the fences... that seems like a pretty stupid thing to implement into a minigame where you need to not dodge fences.
Epona will either hard swerve to avoid a fence or just outside stop despite hitting the fence straight on dead center...

today. Probably my favorite of the two I've cleared thus far. The puzzles were clever and the boss fight was fun I thought. I had a surplus of arrow bombs, so I let him have them
I'm 78 hours in and I just finished the second dungeon. There are at least two towers left and lots of side quests. I only did 56 shrines. Holy shit, lol.
There isn't really a story. Like it would probably all fit in two sentences. But I really liked what was there, a lot of the incidental writing is good, I thought basically all of the characters (present and past) are well realized.
So don't play this for a story, but do pay attention to what is there.
70+ hours in I finally caught my first Electric Darner.
Also Kass sidequest end spoilers.
Wow, I thought hearing the song about his teacher was jealous of Link and how Zelda loved Link was great, then hearing Kass add to the Rito village music, which I already like quite a lot was awesome. So I sat there from night listening to him playing music, then around 8am he turned around to face the village instead of the mountains... I was like, huh, that's interesting. And then not too long later, the ducktales kids come running over each other to the platform. I was expecting them to fly away to the shrine location where their sidequest were, but they actually came to the platform to sing alongside Kass. That was so gosh darned cute.

Yah, keep it simple at first. Try a frog or lizard with boblikin or moulin guts to get a handle on the mechanics. When you mix in too many monster parts you just get dubious food.
just had a ridiculously amazing experience in Faron:
was wandering to a spot on a sidequest to take out monsters, as I was climbing heard the faint song of a stable I hadn't discovered. went to the stable a guy told me to go to the top of a nearby waterfall
I swim up a couple waterfalls (its multi tiered) with Zora armor, on one landing pool I notice a korok stump so I float over, it launches a "reach the glowing circle as the clock ticks down" seed event at the top of the final waterfall.
I swim over and begin swimming up, as I near the top I shoot up to reach the spot and explode up out of the waterfall. what is greeting me? FAROSH's big ass dragon face soaring right above me. it looked incredible. after the korok cut scene, Farosh nails me with an electric ball which knocks me back down the waterfall.
I land slightly under the waterfall and come upon a shrine in a cave behind the falls.
awesome.
then right after I reach the top and move to a mini plateau and have an epic Lynel battle.
Guys, I need your help for a secret shrine - it regards electricity and a huge wall in the western mountains.
There is this huge artificial wall with a lightning built into the mountains. I have pretty much everything regrading electricity - electric arrows, electric chuchus, electric swords, electric bat wings, even a scale of the electric dragon. But I still have no idea what to do - hitting the wall with electric things doesn't do the trick, apparently. Does ist have to do something with the dragon and its scale? Also, no thunderstorm on my radar - it's always snowing there so far for me, so no lightning in sight...A hint would be really appreciated or is there an NPC that gives you a solid hint in game?

Just started the game, and already experienced something that felt totally new for the zelda universe.
and it wasn't even anything significant
I was going around to the first 4 shrines, and discovered that for 2 of them, the temperature was too cold for my tattered shirt. Soon after, I found the old cottage and read the old man's journal and found that he couldn't remember the final ingredient for his recipe, and that he'd give up a coat if someone could make his favorite meal for him
well, obviously it was some kind of fish. so I set off to find a pond.
I found one, and dove in and caught a fish. But then I didn't have any raw meat, and first started just attacking bokoblin camps thinking they'd have meat, but everything I found had already been cooked. So I reasoned that I'd need to hunt some wild animals, and tried to find a wooded area. eventually I found one, and instantly found wild boars to hunt, and got some raw meat.
then I found a torch, and lit a fire to get to work cooking the meal, and served it to the old man and got the coat
this is such a minor thing that other open world RPGs have done for some time now, but for Zelda, it feels very new. The series has been too hand-holdy and too rigid for too long, and it's so refreshing for the game right off the bat to just say "ok it's too cold to reach these places you need to reach, figure it out for yourself how you're going to do it". And not get a "HEY! LISTEN!" message after 5 minutes to offer help.
hot springs, but I did solve a spiral pattern korok puzzle. I needed two stones for the one I did. Count how many rocks are in each arm. It can be tough to judge length alone.
Oh, do you mean you can't find the
replacement stone? Worst case, mark it on your map and return there when you find a stone relatively close.
If so, I need to sell some stuff. I got quite a lot minerals, but I'm afraid they will became more useful later in the game. I read that grinding for meat by hunting deer is the way to go.
So, should I sell my rocks or kill some deer?
Woo master sword get, lost woods was super easy. Wearing any classic green tunic is the only way to play this segment. It would be wrong if he is dressed differently.

Finished the Rito Dungeon. Definitely the weakest one so far. It really seems like Nintendo rushed this one out as not only was
the dungeon short and easy, but there were barely any lead up to it like the other two. You rarely get to talk or bond with your "aide" and Revali was a dick as well so it was hard to make any connection to him or the Ritos. His power is awesome however and it opens up many new traversal opportunities.
Time to explore more of Tabantha and then the north west region before heading to Death Mountain to say hello to the Gorons. I feel the end game creeping and I'm nervous. I dont want it to eeeennndddd ;_;
