I just did Lomei island.

Love these islands with unique concepts. The labyrinth wasn't particularly hard but having a Guardian right at the beggining made it scary...

Now, the room below the labyrinth that appears after exiting the shrine. Now that was scary as fuck
.

So I'm in the North West region of the map and it's a snowy region. I'm using my cold resistant elixers and whatnot but the cold is still damaging me. Not sure what to do, I NEED TO GET THAT TOWER AND FINISH MY MAP!

Equip a
fire sword
.

OK, there's something I don't get: I've looked up what the blank spots in my Compendium are supposed to be, and a lot of them are items or critters that my camera won't register. Things like Star Fragments, Ancient Arrows, Fairies... They don't show up on my camera as registerable things! What am I doing wrong?

I'm pretty sure fairies at least can be photoed. Do you have the correct angle?

I asked this in the spoiler threa but I'll throw it out here too. Does anyone know how long it takes the shops in the villages to get arrows back for sale after you buy them all? I'm going on 28 hours and they are all still empty.

It takes a blood moon for shops to reset.

This is false. They seem to respawn after a day if you aren't there when resting. It definitely doesn't require a blood moon.

I guess I should have said that they only definitely reset during a blood moon, I honestly have no idea how to get them to restock as it happens randomly, I've only reliably gotten some stores to replenish during a blood moon. At least that's what I noticed when I kept bouncing between all the stores trying to stock up on arrows.

No matter what I did, I couldn't get tarry town and guerudo to replenish until a blood moon hit.

Just finished it with true ending.
The dlc/sequels write themselves. "Venture into the dark/tech world to finish off ganon. play as Zelda or link. Bounce between light and dark world"

Wear your warm double and equip a fire weapon or buy the cold set from
Rito
village

this game might as well take place in the fraser valley of BC considering it rains every twenty minutes

selling stuff is such a pain in the ass. why cant i select all the stuff i wanna sell at once??

I just finished my first dungeon and the boss, really didn't like the whole dungeon and the boss at all. I don't really know how I could have figured it all out without checking a guide.

? Which one did you need a guide? They were all pretty straight forward to me except the
gerudo beast

It was hypothetical. Nothing from the ending revealed.

When you say it writes itself and then go on to lay out how it will go (without using spoiler tags mind you), that sure seemed like you are revealing stuff from the ending of the game.

Just had one of those "this is the real game now son" moments.

I saw a weapon I hadn't photographed yet, and so like some kind of dumb-ass tourist I get in real close to get a picture while hearing some kind of rustling sound behind me. When I look up I see a pack of Lizalfos skeletons coming right at me, and I manage to get a picture and catalog them before the first one one-shots me.

Are there any rewards for photographing? I keep forgetting

I remember reading that it's impossible or not recommended to play with the joycons, but I'm finding them fine, but I know the pro pad is much superior. So what I'm trying to say it's possible to play the game with the joycons ( I use the grip).

85 plus hours using the grip and it feels great!

I mean, I am 25+ hours deep and basically played 18+ of those with the Grip.

The Yiga clan turned out to be super disappointing. I really liked the idea of this evil Illuminati working behind the scenes trying to stop Link and allow Ganon to reign terror on the land

Instead, you get to their hideout, and they're
just a bunch of banana obsessed bafoons with an absolute clown for a leader.

I don't get it.
Why do they like bananas?
Why this sudden change in tone when you get to their hideout? Everywhere else in the world, people are afraid of them. The Yiga travelers that ambush you are creepy blood lusting psychopaths.

I just don't get the joke if there was one.

Here's a question. I know I've seen a promo video showing a horse swimming. So, how do you get your horse to swim? Every horse I have is hydrophobic.

How's the atmosphere/feel in this game?

Is it dark/oppressive like majoras and OOT

The world/environment isn't, but the story does have a darker edge
Link wakes up a 100 years after losing his last battle with Ganon, all his friends from a 100 years ago are dead or old

I need to start following the quest markers >_>. I end up chasing some shrine I see in the distance and before long I'm deep into an unexplored zone.

Have to say I'm not really fond of the loot system in this, especially since you go off the beaten a path into an adjacent zone and woop, "high-level" gear... that of course breaks after two fights. :P I actually get excited when I find rupees in a chest!

I think the joke is they look intimidating but in reality they're just a bunch of goofballs. This is exemplified in the boss fight where all his attacks look intimidating at first but actually have really simple counters. Plus like you said, when they attack you in the field it's clear that they're a bunch of loonies.

Wouldn't be the first time they've had an intimidating-looking enemy turn out to be a total weirdo, see Zant. Personally, I love this kinda thing.

i mean, thats ganondorf not ganon tho

She's done one with Calamity Ganon as well.

I haven't beaten
Kohga
yet, but do they ever go into (disappointing) detail as to their motivations? If not, the fact that they're quirky and humorous doesn't necessarily invalidate their more intimidating aspects - from just getting to
the hideout
, the juxtaposition of the two
(you can distract them with bananas, but if you get caught; they can and will kill you; while maintaining their stoic mannerisms)
seems more successful than say, Zant.

Just got the sheikah slate+ and am so giddy from it. Being able to do just that little thing it adds brings a smile to my face.

This is the first zelda game in 15 years I've fallen in love with. Anyone know a way I don't have to ever sleep again?

They're Sheikah traitors who turned to Ganon's side after the Calamity 100 years ago.

Edit: though, a memory shows they existed before the calamity too, so maybe they turned to him before that? I guess it's not very well explained lol

Does anyone know the reward for the snowboarding mini game?

I've been leaving so many things behind and I'm trying not to be stingy with my weapons! Damn I love this game.

Just finished my first great beast today, good puzzles but not very difficult.

Not Zelda related, but I love "Tron" and "Tron Legacy"!

Great avatar choice!

You need to stop the bomb lady from being robbed, and wait until 10pm on the Night of the Final Day.

They're Sheikah traitors who turned to Ganon's side after the Calamity 100 years ago.

I know that they're
allied with Ganon
, but did they ever explain why?

As soon as they were mentioned, I thought it'd fit really well with Twilight Princess' backstory, by making the
Dark Interlopers a sect of ancient Sheikah - the ancient Sheikah stuff from this game is quite similar aesthetically to their architecture, technology and outfits (the former of which includes actual Sheikah crests); and the survivors of the gods' banishment would have ample motive to want revenge against them. Calamity Ganon would have been their opportunity for their descendants to rise from the shadows and have revenge through Ganon's power - though by the thousands of years that had passed, the message would have been diluted somewhat, as well as any knowledge that separated them from mainstream branches of the Sheikah
.

I don't mind the fact that their just idiot goofballs,
I just find the way it's executed to be pretty lame.

I definitely wanted more details about them. Like, I just don't get the
banana
thing at all.

I know that they're
allied with Ganon

No, they don't explain anything.

Braved Hyrule Castle for the first time after 60 hrs and one divine beast, just to find sidequests items (recipe and gear). Putting aside for now how breathtaking the experience was, I almost instantly stumbled upon
the Hylian Shield!. Wow. I currently just have it stored in my house lol, as I don't want it to break. Will probably just save it for the final battle, which is kind of a shame cus it looks so good.
