So is there any kind of decent point in time that I should start tackling the Divine Beasts, and is there a particular order?

Nope you can pretty much do it whenever. There's no order.

If you want a small suggestion though
the bird one will give you the most useful reward, so it's worth doing first.

You can do first beast early on
Beast in Zora area in North East
, you don't need anything other than food that gives extra yellow hearts and food that gives a good defense buff. The other items that help are gotten in same general area near the town for that region (specific armor
for swimming
), and the quest won't proceed until you get enough of the suggested arrow type
lightning
. I got 30 instead of 20 of the arrows suggested and they worked great against the actual boss.

Oh yeah, a decent bow helps since ranged is so effective. Ie, you don't want to go there with 5 damage bow...

Climbing gear complete and maxed out in an instant! Seems I'm suddenly making progress with my clothing with the remaining shrines giving me armor pieces.

Yeah I did all this before getting the
camera
. So I'm screwed also, oh well, I'd love to play through a second time anyway, just to do the story and some favorite side missions.

You can buy photos in Hateno lab to fill in whatever you're missing.

I did not photograph the
Elephant Divine Beast
boss aka
Water Ganon
, nor the
dragon
at the top of Lanyaru.

Am I fucked?

Did I miss them forever from my Compendium? :(

I haven't try, but go to the Hatano research lab
you can buy pictures for the 'compendium' from the assistant. Don't know if he sell picture of THOSE in expecific thought

So, is there any reason, aside from equipment, to get the
blue flame over to the Akkala Tech lab?

I am still trying to figure out how that is even possible with the crazy weather patterns in Hyrule.

Thanks

Aside from equipment, no.
But it's not like you're taking it from Hateno - there's a blue flame pretty near by.

Take your time. Don't use any guides.

And be sure to really observe your surroundings and try a lot of different things.

Best advice. One major story quest involves
recovering your memories based on Zelda's photos
, and it's so rewarding if you've actually been paying attention to where you're going, what you're doing and what's around you. Even basic things like the general themes of the regions, major landmarks, etc.

Except that bloody forest in photo #12. How are you supposed to know where that is?

You can ask the
painter at the stables. He will give you hints.

There's a guy who paints who gives you hints on the memories. I found him at a stable and he told me basically exactly where to go for the forest one.

Oh hey a sidequest. Maybe this one will get me to do something that isn't just bringing the npc a random item.

Go bring me a baked apple. Fuck sake. God damn this game has a lot of pointless shite.

Yeah a lot of the side quests are pretty dull but the ones that encourage you to explore the world and solve puzzles (like the leviathan quest or the Kass quests) make up for it IMO.

Lamps at the roadside stay lit even in a downpour. Take your time, kill everything on the path and if you have to use the wooden weapons the enemies drop.

Worth it, can get some of the better armor there.

Quest start spoilers follow:
There's a shrine to the southeast of Gerudo Town with an NPC that initiates the quest to get a specific item.

Thanks! Havent gone there yet but will do so.

I think fetch quests are a staple of adventure games in general. There are some I didnt mind like the ones with the little girl in Kakariko because of their story.

So is there any kind of decent point in time that I should start tackling the Divine Beasts, and is there a particular order?

Whenever you feel like it. I did Zora > Gerudo > Rito > Goron. Alternating between east and west regions.

I went from the plateau to
Zora
then
Gerudo
then ignored the other 2 and went to face and beat the final boss.

So do whatevee you want.

How can there possibly be
900
Korok seeds? I'm 50 hours in and have found about 40. Do you just stumble on a cache of
700
at some point?

I've found that these can be reeeeaaal subtle and easy to miss. Eg. dive into the water from a pointy rock or high place (there doesn't even have to be a ring to dive into), pick up a seemingly-random rock, climb up odd-looking trees, roll a boulder between two rocks or trees, etc.

Just finished the Rito dungeon. Aside from being on the short side, I don't see what was so bad about it. That was a lot of fun! Maybe I wasn't disappointed because I didn't save it for last.

My favorite sidequest is at a town late in the game in Akkala

I got a down payment of 100 rupees in Tarrey Town to defeat two guardians, and then my "reward" was 20 more rupees lol! At least I got some good ancient loot from the guardians!

The Ceremonial Song

I have the ceremonial trident and I am at the Veiled Falls. I don't exactly understand that song which is of course the riddle. Any help?

I want to get into the Lost Woods, can I figure out on my own how to travel it or do I need someone or something to do it?

I want to know if it's the first or second option i don't want spoilers, just to know if I will waste my time trying to figure how to tackle it on my own.

Thanks for the anwser.

Thanks gang. It's just weird that I was dying in a Zelda game... and so early on! I assumed I was doing something wrong so I came here, haha. Any tips for combat at the start? I've got this axe but it's so slow and clunky. I hope I get something decent soon.
At the beginning, when you don't have a lot of health and defense, I recommend prioritizing not getting hit yourself and only attacking when safe. General strategy could be to stay just out of an enemy's range, then after they swing and miss, you can move in and strike. Then you can back off again.

Slow, two-handed weapons aren't great for rushing down enemies in general. They're better for waiting for safe moments. Though they do have the advantage of being able to knock away enemy shields.

If you're clever and pay attention to environmental clues, you can figure it out yourself. They give you everything you need. Though there's an NPC elsewhere in the world who tells you what to do, if you can't figure it out.

To be fair, that one doesn't really register as a sidequest on the log, the NPC just brings it up but because it's not on the log I feel less compelled to complete it.

Nope, you've just gone charging past a bunch. Look for: lonely trees (especially the bigger ones that have platforms in their canopy), mountain peaks and hilltops, statues with offering bowls, tree stumps, single big-ish yellow flowers, balloons, jars in weird places (usually trees and logs), geometrically-arranged stones, rocks at the top of slopes and/or golf hole-looking craters.

Basically any time you think "huh that's an unusual feature", go check it out. I love the 900. Means that basically every single time I go climb a vantage point just for hyucks, I either arrive at or can see a Korok puzzle.

I did #1 (at least the first half), but #2 helps. You can trial-and-error your way through it.

You can figure it out.

Is there anything interesting in the colosseum?

When I went there
enemies on each floor would focus on one element (fire, ice, elec) and each enemy had a different type of weapon (sword, lance, etc) so therr.are tons of elementals weapons.

Found 100 korok seeds all by myself now.

Also, 60+ hours of gameplay and only 1 dungeon fam. I just get distracted by shit all the time.

WELP just got asked by an NPC for an item that starts with H and ends with OOF, I don't think I will ever complete this side quest. Or at least it's gonna be one of the last ones so I can max the fuuuuck out of my hearts and armor.

I liked it but the problem I had with it was that it felt rushed.
There really wasn't any build up to the dungeon and you never get a chance to know your companion like you did on the other ones. You basically show up, and go to the dungeon.

The dungeon and boss itself was short and easy but I still had fun. It was just noticeable considering I did the Gerudo one before which was absolutely fantastic beginning to end.

Yes it's definitely possible to notice the trick on your own. There is a guy at a stable near by will give you a hint.

You being serious right now? The NPC wants a
hoof.

All you need will be there. There's a lot of ways you can use to navigate the area, so it's really up to you.

How do I activate the Boost jump you get from Rito? It says press x, but its not working...I have to be doing something wrong.

Oh I know exactly what he wants and where to get it. That's why I said it'll take me maxing out my hearts and armor ;)

I'm actually more afraid to engage in that then fighting the final boss hahahahaha

You're almost there!

I'm at 19 hearts, 2 stamina wheels, but I still feel woefully unprepared. I have 2 of the 3 pieces of that set of armor and then I'm gonna max it out (unless maxing it out also requires the same thing I need for the side quest) and make sure I have a ton of arrows and good bows and then I gotta figure out how to do the flurry rush on purpose... oog

30 hours in and i have not found a single korok seeds... i must be doing it wrong :(

Really? I'm terrible at finding stuff, but I immediately found one as soons as I left the chamber in the beginning of the game and have been finding them by accident.
