I still can't help but feel like it was probably the bullshit Yost had to put up with behind the scenes that had them not give him the Gold Ranger role. All kinds of leadup made it seem like it was his, even in MMPR where the one girl made a figure of him as a gold ranger, and even after the random guy he doesn't get it and Jason appears out of nowhere.

That's the problem with Tanya's introduction, they don't explain anything about how she can fit in normally with everyone considering her circumstances. It leads to that moment in the Turbo movie where she makes that Love Boat joke that really made me go wtf.
