Is there an easy way to find a decent amount of korok seeds, a good guide maybe? I only have 13.
After you progress in the game you'll notice the patterns and cues letting you know you're close. I'm not finding all of them either but you'll accidentally find at least 200 if you're paying attention
That only seems to work until you get to the double flames. From there they point leftish and lead nowhere.
This is very true. There's a language to Korok puzzles that you learn quite quickly. You just know which stone will have a Korok under it. While they blend in with the landscape, Korok puzzles are usually quite conspicuous. You always know one when you see one.
I got a strike and I can't remember the reward being that outstanding. Does it change on repeat wins?Man that snowball game sure breaks the economy.
One thing I liked about BotW was that Rupees arens so readily available anymore and you gotta spend a lot more to get somebasic armor or unluck fairy fountains.
Now the snowball game you just have to spend 10 minutes and you can easily earn 10000 rupees or more by simply rolling a ball down a hill....
Make the guy bankrupt after two tries or limit the game to two per day or something

That said I pretty much broke the econ by my excessive ore mining.
You don't need stealth gear cause that one is 100 visibility not sound based.
Beat it on my second try.
Oh wow, I just encountered my very first bear and because I still had fire arrows equipped, he burnt brutally to death. It was horrible - I don't wanna see something like that ever again![]()
All the other memories show her fightingRegarding Link's memories with Zelda...
Why is Zelda only able to use her power right before Link dies? Is this explained anywhere?
Honestly I didn't care for that aspect. They keep stressing the urgency of your mission, but the main quest sends you on field trips and main NPC's willfully hold back resources and information from you until you do them a favor. And it's not like those memories are gone forever, anyway. Why can't Link just... dunno, remember later? Ganon is literally about to destroy the whole world; memories can wait a goddamn second.

This is a good map that shows how many Shrines are in each zone, but not exactly where they are. Could be useful if you are nearing the final total and finding it hard to even guess where more could be, but don't want to be told outright.
.To be fair, Gannon has literally been about to destroy the whole world for 100 years straight, so a few more days/weeks isn't going to matter all that much. At least, based on Impa's demeanor, I didn't expect the world to end immediately
Oh, yeah I must have got a weapon! It doesn't change but neither does the game course. So it becomes basically completely consistent if you figure out a good spot to toss the snowball to keep getting 300 rupees.
If you have a free slot the first time you get a weapon.
Yeah in other openworld games I ended up looking more at the minimap or when I looked at the map was just to see where the next objective was. In BotW sometimes I look at the map to discover suspicious peaks, canyons, ponds of water and such that may be hiding something cool. I´m actually using the map like you would IRL, to learn how the geography of the area is and look for paths and destinations. The reason why exploration is so enjoyable in this game is mainly because of the very clean visual style. There is very little in terms of clutter and everything that is of interest stands out. The typical "see that mountain? You can climb it" is true but not only for mountains. See that little forest? You can reach it. See that odd looking rock? Go have a look. That's where I think other open world games fail in exploration. Where world features don't stand out and you have to rely on mini maps and indicators to find your way.
Any tips to get better times? Is there some technique to shieldboarding or you just have to find the shortest possible path?Oh, yeah I must have got a weapon!
I discovered a cool trick with the snowboarding course, for those who want the Kite shield. I wanted one as the two I found from chests in Hebra broke and I couldn't find another except for the one in Selmie's house. Doing the course well doesn't reward it, but doing badly and finishing around 2:15 gets the Kite shield. That said it's not hanging in her house anymore, so I haven't checked to see whether you can get it again or if it's a one time thing.
Seems like different times rewards different shields. I just assumed it was the same shield every time until I veered off course and ended up getting something different.
120 shrines conquered! Link is now complete!
I can finally finish the game now.
Anyone else get super nervous while playing BOTW and then the "saving" message comes at the bottom left of the screen.......
Guys, I need some hint and some help with a Gerudo sidequest:It's about the eigth warrior
I feel like I have looked everywhere in the mountains - the only thing I've found so far is a big stoned sword that might belong to the warrior statue (I assume it's a statue?), but even nearby I've searched everywhere and not found anything...

Enjoy them goofball shorts, my friend.

Ok my girlfriend got the Switch last night and we started the game (She's a Zelda fanatic, this is my first one).
We got to the second Shrine (with the bomb). Is there a way to defeat those guards that appear before you get to the shrine?
I couldn't help but be reminded of XC soundtrack at certain parts of the game. Rito village theme is something that could fit right into XC, for example.
Even at the start, you can take them out with arrows and bombs and a lot of patience, but the rewards for doing so aren't really worth it.

He looks good with trousers of the wild. Well, he looks good at any clothes he wears anyway. No wonder everybody's thirsty for Link-kun.
Link is perfect in this game. The most attractive he's ever been imo. It will be hard to top that design in the future.
Well, they could reuse his BotW design and make him show more emotions, that would be a beginning, I guess.
You can also parry them to death with the pot lid; which should still apply at the beginning of the game. But the timing might take a little while to get right.

It's not really worth it. Later on you'll have the skills to easily dispatch them.
Hey Nintendo...once I get a piece of amiibo clothes, STOP GIVING IT TO ME!!! Especially if I can't delete it or throw it away.
You can sell themI sold a spare Wind hat already.
I still don't know where the emptyness some people talk about is. Maybe near the Death Mountain? But I've found treasure chests and Koroks there...
